Do any changes seem like they're needed for 4.3? I haven't noticed anything myself.

It seems that the hosting site for the addon is no longer available, so there is nowhere to get the non-broken (non-Curse) version anymore. If someone has the working addon that can upload or host it somewhere it would be a big help to those that downloaded the Curse version by mistake (*cough my wife and I....)

Once again I will ask.....Is there anyone out there that can keep the addon alive? It works now, but eventually it will stop working. I for one would lose a great deal of the bond with my pets without this addon. Please, if you can, consider helping. I would love to but I just don't know how. In case you missed it, the person who wrote this is done with WoW and the addon. All I ever did was help with writing emotes for her. I don't know code from a hole in the wall....

- has Visual Studio 2008 or 2010 (Express should work too) and knows how to work on Windows Forms with C# (this last point is for the PetEmote Editor, not for the addon itself, but it should be the same developer if possible)
- has some webspace to host the downloads or knows how to use Curse (I don't ), though I don't know if Curse would want to host the Editor for security reasons
- has enough time and is willing to play WoW for the next 3 years or so
- is playing a hunter with all his heart and maybe warlock, dk or mage

Some IT student would be great. Also I always had the idea to re-invent the Editor as a web application for full support on all systems - might be a very fine project for someone who likes that kind of things.

I will release the Editor as Open Source the next days as zipped Visual Studio Project and additionally as Subversion dump. The code is rarely documented in German, but it is well structured and uses 100% English wording. There's no license or something, put it on Creative Commons if you like, but keep my name somewhere in it and don't sell it.

If we find someone who takes care of this nice piece of work, I will try to answer as many questions as I can (or want), but I will not help coding.

Is there someplace online I can read up on how to work the editor for this? I wanna make some of my own emotes, and I wanna get rid of the master/mistress thing and replace it with owner or something else. I've noticed it.... creeps out some of the people in my guild.

I downloaded the files that you linked but when I opened my editor up it was a blank slate. Could some one please link their actual addon? I think the Curse update completely ruined my addon base.

I know how to work it, I have edited it before (my slime was doing crocolisk emotes so I changed them). I think the Curse update just messed up the base. No one can link their addon file, but you linked your files

I just finished updating my addons and saw this changed before I noticed. It's now version 1.7.3w1 instead of just 1.7.3 as before. Did someone pick this up and it just hasn't been mentioned here yet? And I will ask if it is working now instead of crashing wow every time it does something. For those who have not had the problem, be glad. Every time your pet does an emote, the game freezes and only a ctrl-alt-del will get you out of it....not even alt-f4 would break it a couple of times. If I knew a way to learn about the language for the addons I'd love to help as I'm into programming.

Was just curious as I did not look before updating as I thought I had told my program to ignore petemote. *crosses her fingers and sees all her pets and minions do the same*

I didn't think the files linked were the actual addon because there are 2 folders missing that were in mine but not in yours. One of the folders went missing when I updated it through Curse. The other, that is still there, is called de and has PetEmote Editor.resources.dll inside it

. I removed my current version and replaced it with yours, instead of just overriding the old files, that seems to have made my editor have all the emotes once again

I only actively use.... like 7 pet families. And I do have plenty of free time. And could you give me a link to the page you found that talks about the editor? Really, I was kinda wondering why when I open it, I see nothing on my screen that would let me edit existing emotes.

On a separate note (because 46 pages is just a bit too much to go though), is there a forum on the official WoW forums where you could ask or try to find someone with coding knowledge to pick up the work on PetEmote?
