Thorkas’ weird and wonderful menagerie of rare pets

Patch 4.0.1 has brought many things wonderful and eh…less wonderful . One of the best things as far as I am concerned is a new stable for an extra 20 pets, bringing the total to 24. I thought it was due time for some extra rare hunting.

The hardest were Nuramoc and Loque’Nahak. They took me two weeks and one week respectively.

I am kinda boring so most received their original names apart from Loki, Bubblegum and Bokito. Wonder if you can link those names to their owners?

I'm going to guess that Loki = Skoll, Bubblegum = Mazz (or Soriid, but Mazz is my first guess), and Bokito = Uhk'loc. How'd I do?

Teehee. Two out of three Sarayana! I figure Bokito is the hardest to guess. It's the name of a Gorilla that lives in a Dutch Zoo that attacked a woman who'd been visiting him four times a week. He escaped his enclosure and dragged her around. Afterwards she said they shared a bond.

It's been all over the news here.

Loki is Loque'nahak really. I tamed him rather early before Skoll was even a thought in a developers brain. I called my raid group after Loki as well and when I bring Loki it's hugs all around (although I'm quite sure they think I am a daft, obsessed hunter, hehe). Shame he is not that competitive, nor is Beastmastery. I have high hopes for level 85 and believe I might return to BM raiding once more.

You know. I figured I was "done" but really it nagged at me that I didn't have Aotona. So here we go again. Camping for Sholozar Basin for several days (AGAIN) until it spawned and I divebombed it. The real problem now is to have enough room in the stables for the Cataclysm rares

My trusty raid group Loki friends won the day!
They helped me tame Chromaggus on patch day. <3 Thanks Raphaelon, Goosehunt, Kiarawolf and Irrinae !

Those pets look absolutly HUGE next to your Dwarf! I can't wait to see the Goblins with their gianormous pets!

Awww thanks Murloc Chow. You know, if another five levels has a notable impact on their growth they are gonna be even bigger No clue what that Core Hound is gonna be called. Chromie? Cerberus? I called the Oil Stained Wolf Kurt, after my friend who helped me tame it. And here is a pic.

Huzzah ! After fighting a long and ardeous battle I beat The Prophet Skeram of AQ40. I did it by hiding behind one of the statues on the left side Feigning Death, whilst my Spirit Beast Loki soloed the boss (see pic). Then I sneaked into Ahn Qiraj finding safe spots to Feign Death and sneaking past all the mobs, BattleGuard Sartura and Frankriss and findling finding my honey, Princess Huhuran. Nostalgia abounds as I remember beating her at level 60 after long weeks of farming Maraudon Nature Resist gear and getting her bow

Four hours after going live in Europe, Terrorpene was mine. Really quite an awesome pet and very useful to finally have a Turtle !

On the fourth day of cata, I tame my second Cata rare elite: Karoma ! Welcome home buddy.

Aaaand hot from the press, the elusive Ghostcrawler. First he faded on me, quite on purpose, not a glitch. So that means you go and seek furiously. I mean after all, how far away is he gonna pop up again? Also, there was an Orc Hunter nearby Also he nerfed me *sob*

Near the end of the levelling I set my sights on Sambas. After stalking this beast for a while I finally found him, my hunter instincts pointing the way. He nearly chewed my face off but when the adrenaline subdued, he was mine The picture is where I reunite Sambas with Akhet, the Royal Guardian of King Phaoris, my kitty is on the left.

Now all I need is a name.
