Cinderweb Broodlings are tamable

Unread post by guntitan »

They are the ones marked beast. I just did it.

I think the Cinderlings that pop out of the eggs sacs when you have a certain quest are tamable too. They are also marked beast.

These little guys make a mockery of the mighty Kirix! =(

Now Deth and Solix are the only truly unique spiders.
Part of Dark Magics, lvl 25 Horde guild, casual, helpful, don't raid, mostly help people and hunt pets.
Part of Dynasty, lvl 25 Alliance guild, casual and hardcore (your choice, no one forces you to raid, but you can), very helpful
Come on over if interested (Runetotem US, Horde name Sarantha, Ally name Ellysetta or Valeraud)

If my hunch is right the orange ones that pop out of the eggs sacs are tamable too. So Solix won't be so rare.

The orange spiderlings seem to work a lot like the baby crocs for that quest in Uldum.

If anyone doing Shadow Warden dailies has Egg-stinction and could beast lore one of the baby oranges, that would be fantastic. <3 (I got it on my shammy today, qq.)

These are actually just as hard to track down as Kirix is. Honestly, I believe Kirix spawns more often. So it's not really THAT bad.

If they are tamable they do despawn a short while after you jump to get them off. Maybe a freeze trap will prevent that unless you can tame them when they attach to you. I can't wait to get the quest again to try it out.

I quickly attempted to tame one. Target not tameable. I also used the beast lore ability, and saw a not tameable before it despawned. :c

I contend these are rarer than Kirix.

and remember, there are two tiny green spiders that are called Broodlings, but they have different ID. one tameable, one not.

I have actually never seen the non-tamable ones o.O
And I have seen Kirix kill many a hunter trying to tame. I pulled it off perfectly on my goblin hunter, Xiela, that doesn't even have the ilvl to do normal heroics, but Thyell, my 363 ilvl hunter can't pull it off. So I think it is safe to say that the broodlings are the best option if Kirix doesn't want to come home.. x)

Thanks, Tsuki!

you must have been looking at the wrong version of them, as I and about five other hunters tamed them tonight on my server when I saw them up.

You were. I only blame the lack of sleep when I posted that as the reason for the stupid mistake. Apologies.

The orange ones, I believe, are actually considered critters (if you mouse over them). And critters are not tameable :( Assuming you're talking about the ones when you get the eggs, and then it's all "AHH! SPIDARS!! GET IT OFF GET IT OFF!" :D

I'm kind of happy that they aren't beasts and tameable (the orange ones) <.< I managed to get Solix, and while I won't begrudge anyone else that wants to tame her, and I'm definitely not a "rares are better than normals" person.. I kind of like that having her means I HAD to do the challenge, and beat out the griefers, and other hunters. There is no easier option :D

Might make it easier

http://www.wowhead.com/npc=53753

Add Cinderweb Broodling to NPCSCAN ~ ID 53753

(These are the tameable ones)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The NON-tameable ones are http://www.wowhead.com/npc=53743
(spawn from the Hyjal scout)
