Tori, is it ok if I do something similar to the way you typed the visions if a character of mine gets a nightmare? Or.. gives someone else a nightmare? I do have Darkrais. I swear, I'm not trying to steal any thunder.

As a heads up with what's coming in Johto thread if you'd like your character to remain friendly towards the Blessing, I would recommend you tag along with the Tower group as an escort or whatever. It's what I'll likely auto-pilot Trick/Sphinx to do if they're still on follow.

HOWEVER, no PC characters will be killed. This is mostly a heads up so if you want your Blessing char to actually be cool with the Blessing still (I'm looking at you Trick and Asher) again going with the group or making yourself scarce is a good idea.

Yeah, was planning on sending Arinei off with the Tower group. Oh man I have no idea how I'm gonna keep him Blessing-allied at this rate. I really want to, at least for a while. XD

Anyway, yo I'm back! Sorry for being gone so long. (Also, I got a Tyrunt plushie at the little Pokemon Center kiosk at a mall I went to today! He's SO CUTE <3)

Thanks for the head's up, it's appreciated. Catharsis suddenly became hard to play. I've never really been that great at playing characters on the dark side so I dunno why I thought it would be any easier here. x_x I was originally going to have her remain Blessing-allied for at least a little while before defecting, but now, I'm thinking of having it happen sooner rather than later.

I kinda know the feel on how hard it can be to keep characters evil, or at least antagonists. I have a harder time with it during tabletop sessions, admittedly, but there have been times when I wanted a character to be an absolute evil murderous bringer of death, only to have them soften up as the RP progressed.
Venin's a good example actually, as are most of the Hounds. I wanted her sociopathic; a thin, cackling monster of a vaporeon who loved nothing more than to break her opponents down before drowning them. That... obviously changed. She's certainly selfish and antagonistic, but there's a heart to her too. I blame Phantom for that. Stupid floofbutt.

I think, for me it came down to the character. Sometimes you come up with an idea, and as the plot progresses you find that they want to go and do their own thing. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Although I do admit that I enjoy the dual aspect of Catharsis. She's obviously against what's happening here, but her master is aligned with the Blessing for whatever reason and exerts a lot of control over her. If you feel like you can hold off having her swap sides sooner rather than later, having her break free from that influence could be a very rewarding moment after a long damn struggle.

I can certainly understand having issues keeping characters as antagonists as well. XD Like Arinei. He was an antagonist foreeevvveerrrr ago, then he switched sides part way through Rise of the Shadows.

AND THEN THERE'S PHANTOM. XD He was supposed to stay an antagonist to Ghost! I'm serious, even if they are brother and sister, he wanted her dead for a loooooong time, and I planned to keep him that way through all of Rise of the Shadows... Aaaand then him and Venin met and the circumstances of their ridiculous little adventure lead them to joining the protagonists. So I guess in a way, Venin and Phantom caused them EACH OTHER to switch to being protagonists. Great job, you two. XD although it's a good thing, since otherwise I probably would have TRIED to kill off Phantom. Key word being tried, of course, as I'm pretty well-known for being terrible at killing off antagonists. Pffft.

But yeah, nothing wrong with a character just sort of doing their own thing independent from your original plans, in my opinions. Arceus knows how many times it's happened to me. XP

Thanks, guys, and yeah, every single time I try to play an antagonist, they end up either going good or neutral because I just can't do it. @_@ We'll see what happens, and how long i can keep her Blessing-allied. I do have an established idea about the Yveltal that's controlling her, but I'm not sure I'll make him an actual character since he is not nice, nor is he the original Yveltal who blessed Catharsis (who I would have made into a character, but he's kind of dead in Catharsis's backstory guess who did it, so yeah.)

On the other hand, I'm happy with how Saoirse and Ciar are coming along, though Saoirse having healing moves (or willing/wanting to use them, rather) wasn't originally my plan. XD I plan on her becoming less negative as things progress in the Unova thread.
