Fall of the Gods (PokeRP)

Unread post by Azunara »

No one knew exactly what happened to Celestic Town until days later.

It had always been fairly isolated, tucked into the shadow of Mt. Coronet. Few people wandered through the town. No one cared about the mythology that it held. And one day, the town seemed to disappear off the map. It had been preceded by a furious rumble, and then the earth gave way and shadows consumed the town. All that was left was a crater.

When the discovery was made, people tried to get the word out. But it was too late. Something was wrong. Days went by, interspersed with pouring rain and blinding sunlight. Thunderstorms raked the land. The people knew the Gods were angry. The Pokemon knew that the Legends were at war.

And the Legends knew Arceus was missing.

Likewise, it was unknown how the God of Everything could have disappeared--just like that. He was a God, you couldn't just walk away with him. Kidnapping was out of the question. You had to be mad. Yet someone was. Legends alike all were eager to fill the missing spot. They clashed with each other, trio leaders leading their own against others, some trying to keep their respective servants from splitting or rioting.

Several Legends knew that the war would break the world. Desperate, they pulled away from the conflict, trying to remain neutral. At first, it was the smaller, weaker Legends. Shaymin and Mew and Victini. They were mocked by the more powerful. Called cowards by those who were trio masters. But soon, more Legends tried to pry themselves away from the conflict.

Unable to search for the God directly, the Legends tried to send their Champions to find the missing God.

But the kidnapper is prepared. He had been gathering his forces, letting his spirits and influence bleed into the world. Power hungry, Legends and pokemon alike flocked to him, desperate to be part of his new world. Their own Champions were sent to caused chaos, and to prevent the others from finding them.

Now, the world is threatening to be consumed by the Distorted Realm below it. It is up to the Champions, who have been sent to the Mt. Coronet to find more information at the source, to prevent their world from falling.

Crowley
Mt. Coronet

Crowley let out an irritable growl as he tried clambering over the rocks and debris. He was tempted to take wing and keep flying, but he'd figured he might miss any of the other Champions. He snorted as he remembered Reshiram's orders. To go to Mt. Coronet, find the other Champions, and look out for any evidence of...well, anything. As if they expected them to find anything. How could the Gods miss anything?

He let out a quiet yelp as a pebble jammed into his paw. He shook it out, exhaling a burst of flame to scorch it in his frustration, just to let it know how he was not going to stand for this pebble nonsense and how no other pebbles should attempt to get stuck in his paws. It was a good several seconds before yet another one was stuck.

---

Circe
Mt. Coronet

Circe peered down over the mouth of the cliff, keeping her balance. Nope. No Champions here. She snorted to herself. Giratina gave such vague instructions. Find the other servants who were with him. Prevent anyone from mounting the Pillar. Kill everyone that needed to be dead. Killing was such icky work. She didn't really want to kill anyone. She leaped down off a cliff, trying to pick out any of her possible companions.

Rook - Mt. Coronet

Tall, black ears swiveled about, working to try and pick up the faintest noise from around their owner's location. A footfall upon the rock around her, an excited pant, a cry to her to either join them or to surrender, anything out of the ordinary. The Lucario, for the moment, heard nothing. She carefully picked her way forwards and up the slope, her footsteps slow and deliberate as she heeded the call given to her. She must be close to the summit now, right? She'd been at this for days now. And yet, the slope still kept on ascending.
Rook gave a startled jump as she heard a clatter of rocks not too far away. She spun her head about to sniff the air, her ears twitching furiously as she attempted to locate the cause of such a noise. She hoped it was an ally; she did not like the prospect of fighting up here alone.

Antares - Mt. Coronet

Antares scanned the cliff below him, letting out a sigh. Shifting uncomfortably on the rock he had perched on, he tried to catch any glimpse of life along the mountainside. Dialga's orders rang in his ears; find the other Champions at Mt. Coronet. A simple task, one would think. Yet Antares had yet to see any others so far. At least being the Time God's Champion meant he was, for a good portion of the time, near Mt. Coronet, if not already there, unlike almost all the other Champions, who had to travel there.

He was half tempted to speed up time a bit to make his wait shorter, but decided against it. Instead, he laid down on the cold, flat surface of the rock, and waited.

Wasabi- Mt coronet

Wasabi was climbing up the steep rocks of the mountianside, keeping a stern face. His Mistress had told him to go here. He would do this without question. It wasn't the first time he'd climbed this pile of rocks, and it wouldn't be the last. He pushed a boulder that was too big for him to climb out of his path before continuing upward again.

He saw a Figure ahead, Another Champion? Hesitating a moment, He began to move toward the shape.

Lavi- Mt coronet

Lavi grinned broadly. Something was happening. At last. She slithered through the air a litte farther up the mountian, stopping at a lip and glancing around. "Dang it, where is _ANYONE_ else!?" Giving a little hiss, She went higher yet again, Aware that she was in plain sight.

Ardor, Orash
Mt. Coronet

"YOUR SO SLOW ORASH, JEEZ" the smaller zubat shouted. It was anything but warm and comforting, it had made Ardor grumpy and although she normally does shout on any normal occasion, she had something special.
On their journey through the mountains Orash had painted a little mad smiley face on her heatran mask, it was to help others know what kind of emotion she had been in.

Orash had looked up, the sky was clouded with foggy grey clouds that had been busy producing gentle snowfalls, he was able to see a small orange and blue shape stretched out underneth them, He called out to it with a cupped paw over his mouth to hopefully reach the Zubat "I can't fly like you can!"
His partner was never the bright one. He was expecting a bit of an argument to come back
"What the reserve realm is with those things on your back than!?"
The expected return.
"Their symbolic!" and they were. He sure couldn't fly with them, but they amused his younger master, they also doubled as a sign that he was from the "Forest soul" clan.
He had heard a string of insults and nonsense thrown back at him, it was probably loud enough for others close by to hear it.

Irsa
Mount Coronet

Irsa had slowly dragged behind Circe, her smaller shape had a harder time getting over the larger boulders and pebbles. Plus she didn't dare damage the precious jewelry that she had worn "Hey you! your names Circe right? see anything of interest here, im freezing my fur off here!"
She had only come in case their had any sort of valuables, plus the sound of traveling up a snowy mountain? sounded like a fun adventure for her.

Ari
Mt. Coronet

Ari swooped over various rocks and boulders, occasionally landing to take a closer look at anything that could be considered unusual. The bird sighed, he hadn't managed to find anything of interest.
Until he heard a yelp. Someone else was here, there was no doubt about it. Ari shot into the air, scanning the ground for any other Pokemon. Though he couldn't see a Pokemon, just some odd red glowing. Ari dove down to investigate, landing on a nearby rock and- Oh, it was another Pokemon. A Champion or hybrid of some sort, and by the look of it, probably part Umbreon.
He wasn't sure if it would be best to wait for the Champion to see him or to call out to it. Eventually, he decided it would be best to speak up "You there!" Ari called, trying to get the Champion's attention.

Lani
Mt. Coronet

Lani was happily perched on a cliff, obviously more interested in resting than searching. She looked around casually, not seeing anything of particular interest. Lani yawned, burying her head in the pale blue feathers on her back and closing her eyes. She was sure that if anything aggressive came near, she would hear it before it got a chance to attack her.

Dews- Mt. Coronet

Dews waded through the Shoulder deep snow. Being only 2 feet, 4 inches tall, the snow was extremely deep for her. It was also extremely hard to move through. Dews grew more and more agitated as she moved through to snow, heading toward the top of the mountain. Kyogre had sent her to this mountain, telling her to reach the top and look for other Pokemon. Dews grumbled, "Why must I look for other Pokemon? I hate working with others. and anyways, the only Pokemon I want to look for is my mother." Dews stopped for a moment, as she noticed that it had started to snow. Dews growled, Great. Just what I needed. Snow. The frustrated Dewott thought to herself as she struggled to move through the deep snow.

Taini, Raijin - Mt. Coronet

Scents flooded the air. Most of them obviously Pokemon. After all, a crisis was happening. A power God was missing and the Hybrid that padded along the rocky cliff could only mutter to herself quietly. She was tempted to kick the Raichu casually lounging on her back. Taini could his soft snoring. Sadly, she worried on it would look if she 'accidentally' dropped Raijin of the side. She shook her head and continued her brisk pace up the mountain, trying to ignore the many scents within the air. Her appearance was that of a Mightyena, only the colors of her mane, legs and body were reversed. If someone looked at her at a certian angle, she only looked like a strangely colored Mightyena. Well until someone would notice bright yellow rings from her Umbreon half.

She could feel Raijin stirring as a rock nearly smacked him on the head, "Mmm, we there yet? You're slow, Taini. I've seen Shuckle faster then this." He muttered. Taini bit back a sarcastic reply. She still even wondered how she came across this... 'rat'. Letting out a slow growl, she had become frustrated at the fact she could easily scent others, but she had been yet to see them. She couldn't tell who was an ally and that left the Umbryena on edge.

Circe
Mt. Coronet

"Oh, I dunno. I guess there's something to se--oh, look at that!" She said excitedly, gesturing towards a tall white figure, vaguely lucario shaped. "I think Mr. Spooky Boss said something about a lucario." She was having a far easier time with the rocks, able to jump easily from place to place. She bounded down, making her way to Rook. "Hurry up, Short Stuff," She called back to Irsa.

---

Crowley
Mt. Coronet

Crowley had been burning rocks indiscriminately in his wrath, but stopped when he heard a voice call out. He looked up to see Ari, fluffing out his feathers and straightening. "Are you one of the Champions?" He asked, peering at the bird. Didn't look very impressive. Then again, not everyone could look as badass as he did.

Antares - Mt. Coronet

Antares let out a quiet groan. This rock was just not comfortable. Tail twitching back and forth, he stood up, again scanning the area. He couldn't be the only one in this area, could he? He wasn't one for wanting company all that often, but he was getting sick of sitting around on that rock waiting for anyone to show up. But what else could he do? Go look for them? Well, alright, there was that. He didn't like the idea, though. But that rock wasn't getting any more comfortable, now was it? Sighing, he jumped down off of it and began making his way down the mountainside, keeping an eye out for any movement nearby.

Rook - Mt Coronet

Voices, and not too far from her either. Somewhat friendly-sounding too, although that could merely be due to them not knowing she was following the call of Giratina. Still, better to move in closer and take her chances. At least she'd then be able to sense them somewhat.
Rook moved towards Circe and Irsa, keeping an ear out for any other noises. There were a few, now that she had noticed them. Wingbeats and footfalls alike, even the sound of scales slithering against stone. Many of them smelled strange, as if they had been mixed with those of Legendaries. Other champions?
Finally, she moved close enough to one of them for her Sense to kick in; a... jolteon? She could never tell Eeveelutions apart, let alone ones that were championing one of the Legendaries. Well, whatever species they were, they seemed relaxed. That had to be a good sign.
"You guys summoned by Giratina?" She asked Circe and, by approximation, Irsa and anyone else nearby.

Wasabi-Mt coronet

As He got closer, He was sure the figure was a fellow champion. The Figure was then joined by another figure. He moved a little closer. "Hey!... Who's there!" He folded his two striped front legs in front of himself and waited for a responce.

Lavi-Mt corornet:

She reached the top of a cliff, still Looking around for anyone. She desided to wait for the current time, Sticking out her tongue to catch a snowflake. But then saw a group ahead. Could that be who she was looking for? They were talking. She started to slither in that direction.

Ari
Mt. Coronet

"I am." Ari replied "And I'm assuming you are, too?" Ari tilted his head at the various voices. Obviously more Pokemon were arriving. He wondered how many Champions the Legendaries had sent here. Quite a lot, from what he could hear, and probably both Giratina's and Arceus' followers. If that was the case, it wouldn't be long before fights broke out. For all Ari knew, the Champion in front of him could be a follower of Giratina. Slightly shaken by that fact, Ari stood a little taller, fluffing up his feathers to make himself look bigger.

Lani
Mt. Coronet

The blue dragon-bird frowned, glaring at the snow that was starting to gather on her back. She stood up, flapping her wings to shake the snow away before settling back on the rock. She could hear voices, and saw a quick yellow shape darting down the rocks, and a Purrloin behind it. Neither the yellow nor the Purrloin looked aggressive, still, she might as well investigate. Lani glided down to the rocks below her, before wading through the snow after the Pokemon.

Orash and Ardor
Mt.Coronet

Orash let out a little huff as his foot slipped from a rock, it wasn't really straight ground anymore and it was hard to climb. Not to mention his weakness against ice type seemed to effect her in their habitats, he felt rather weak, his body numb.
In the distance he could see something though, it had long ears and a tail that split into two.
An espeon?
He had shouted up to his flying partner who was more hidden in the foggy mixture more than before "Ard can you go fly down to that person there? I need to know if we can trust it"
Ardor easily picked Orash's trailing voice.
She opened her maw to make little clicking sounds, they were invisible to the common ear but a pokemon species with advanced hearing.
Suddenly the land before was shaped into a picture, made by the clicking sounds that she had made. She had 'seen' the espeon alright, the first thing she did was fly down landing right in front of the espeon without a care in the world "Hey a$$*&(& whos your patron? you looking for other champoins or not" Despite her size her voice was very loud and shouty.

-------
Irsa
Mt Coronet

"Im trying as fast as I could! I can't harm this pendant its 100% natural sapphire! Circe hun, do you have any idea how rare that is?" After about another ten minutes or two of footslips, clawing and pulling she finally got herself caught up taking a good look at the Lucario, examining every part before she could conclude that the pokemon did not have any sort of valuables.
"Yeah, we were summoned by him what of it?" She stated sitting down to catch her breath. Suddenly her ears served around at the sound of movement.
"Someones following us!" she whispered to the others

Antares - Mt. Coronet

Antares' ears pricked up, catching the faint sounds of someone talking nearby. He glanced around, trying to pinpoint the source of the noise, only to be caught off guard as Ardor suddenly flew down in front of him. His ears flattened back, mostly in surprise. "My Patron is Dialga. And yes, I am looking for others." He replied, his short fur standing on end at the Zubat's attitude.

Wasabi-Mt coronet

The Figures didn't seem to notice him. Irritating. But at least he could make them out clearer now. One looked sorta like an Espeon, Another a Zubat. There may or may not be more, it was hard to tell from here. He came a little closer, this time touching them telepaticly to make SURE they heard. "Who's there?"

Lavi-Mt coronet

Lavi slithered closer when a thought struck her, they could be on the other team. She hid behind a rock, eventually peeking out. It looked like they had noticed her. She Hissed in frustration, Slapping her tail against the rock she was hiding behind angrily.

Taini, Raijin - Mt. Coronet

Taini finally reached the top of the cliff. Her eyes quickly scanned around and she finally spotted a few bodies around. As expected, many were assorted Pokemon, but at the moment, she spotted none like herself. "We're here." She growled quietly. She finally shook Raijin off her back, causing the Raichu to firmly face plant into ground. He had just barely missed getting a pebble in his eye. Taini quickly padded off to side and took a leap onto a small boulder. She glanced at Raijin, who was still shaking himself free of dirt and dust.

Raijin's eyes glanced around and he quickly scurried over to the stone opposite of Taini. He could tell he had annoyed the girl enough. Anymore and he'd find out if he was part flying type or not. Taini's glaze held a hint of untrust. Raijin was the only one she had been able to confirm as a Champion. She couldn't see if any of these others were part of... whatever the Legends wanted. It couldn't be an army. They'd be more here... Then again.

Arceus is missing. I need you two to go to Mt.Coronet.
You must see what the other Legendary's Champions are doing.
The balance is gone, we must bring back harmony.
Before it is to late.
~Rayquaza

Loupell & Mimico had traveled far. The sky Pillar was not exactly close to Mt. Coronet, but they had finally made it. Slowly they made their way up the steep slopes, gracefully leaping from rock to rock, and walking swiftly over the loose stones in between. When they reached the start of the snow line, they paused. "I smell other pokemon Mimico, we'd best keep our eyes sharp if we are to find them wouldn't yo---" *WHAMP* Loupell was cut off as a huge glob of snow hit him in the side of the head. Shaking the snow off his face, he glared as Mimico bounded around in the snow like a puppy. "Mimico!"

The other Houndoom turned and came bounding at him, landing and skidding in the snow. Loupell had to turn his head aside to prevent another snow shower. "Loupell!! Its snow! Its really snow!!" Mimico said cheerfully. Loupell couldnt help but smile, sometimes Mimico was just to innocent. "Yes it is, and by the end of this climb you will be sick of the cold stuff, but for now, why don't you focus that energy into climbing the mountain and if you are good...I will show you how to make a snow cave to sleep in." Mimico perked his head up "Really? A snow cave? Hurray!!" He said as he bounded up the mountain side, Loupell following close behind.

Crowley
Mt. Coronet

Crowley snorted as Ari tried to make himself look bigger. In response, Crowley did the same, bristling his fur and lashing his tail, his already floofed wings slowly arching from his back. They probably looked very silly, having a "I'm bigger than you take that" competition, but Crowley wasn't one to care. "You here because of Arceus? And if you aren't, I can tear your beak right off your face," Crowley warned, peering at the larger bird.

Circe
Mt. Coronet

"Please, I don't even know what a sapphire is. And I can't eat it, so I don't care." The zapeon replied casually to Irsa, before flicking her attention to Rook, bobbing her head agreement. "Mr. Spooky Boss? Yup. That's the one. I didn't really care for him, but orders are ord--wha?" She wheeled around to try and find the source of the movement, her eyes picking up something blue and fast amongst the clouds.
