Decay - Light's Hope

Decay came up to the others, having been hiding in the shadows. ''I'm thinking of leaving too.'', she said sadly, looking north. ''I've got something I need to do.''

"Hopefully..." She mumbled, not looking too convinced. She blinked at Decay, her face falling. Oh. Another one leaving...It always happened. She buried her face in her paws, not looking up. She had seen her friends as family, and now her family was falling to pieces.

Indi looked caught off guard by Decay's statement. She didn't know what the group would do without their main tactician. She mentally cursed at herself for feeling selfish and smiled at the other death knight. "Of course," she said to Decay. "When the others get back, they can escort you, if you'd like."

Unknowingly, she reached out a reassuring hand to Azu.

Decay started looking a little strained from the exposure to the light, but remained with them. ''I won't need an escort.'', she muttered, looking down into the ground, unable to look up at the others.

The light was bothering Indi as well, but Decay seemed far worse off. Indi frowned. "Would you like to wait somewhere less...full of the light so the others can at least say goodbye?"

Azunara either didn't register Indi's touch or didn't react to it, continuing keeping her head down in her paws, quietly sniffling. It wasn't fair, and worse, no matter what she did, nothing could stop Decay or Alarial leaving. She could kill a hundred lighting wolves, a million chaotic, crazy gnomes, she could go to the Caverns of Time and go back in past, change anything, but it wouldn't stop them from leaving. It seemed kind of hopeless, really. She gave a soft whine, vaguely aware Kozri was sending her worried thoughts.

''Hey, Azu, don't be sad...'', Decay tried, feeling a sting in her heart from the druid's whining. She was just about to reply to Indi when she was interrupted by a green flash and what sounded like an explosion. Looking west she saw a green plague and a bunch of dying paladins. Even further west were plague catapults driven by Cult of the Damned cultists and on top of one was a gnome, frantically waving at them. Decay sighed.

Azunara winced at the explosion, looking up and sniffing. "We...we have to go save people again, don't we?" She said quietly, getting up.

''Those paladins won't be rescuable.'', Decay sighed. ''Indi, know if it's the Putress plague or an older recipe? Would be easy to just run trough it if it's old.''

Indi looked up at the sound of the explosion and followed Decay's gaze. "Oh fel..." she muttered.

Kozri...we have a problem! she sent to the drake. We need you guys back as quickly as possible.

"Yes we do," she answered Azu.

She turned to Decay. "I...I'd guess with Saturo leading them that it's probably the Putress plague. We'd be lucky if it were the older one."

Rosaliah--Light's Hope Chapel

Rose looked up in horror at the incoming plague vehicles and the gnome leading them. Tears formed in her eyes. "Oh no!" she whispered, moving instinctively toward Tyrant.

The guardians of the Light at the chapel began forming ranks to fight back the intruders.

Darnassus-ish

The human gave a soft growl. He had already been worried by Azu, but now? "They're in trouble back in Light's Hope. We need to head back as soon as we can." He sounded worried.

The sad expression was replaced with a determined snarl, and the druid slipped into the shadows, ready to attack. "Anything we can do to kill the plague? Fire or something?"

Lahzuli and Julianne--Darnassus

Worried looks spread across the druid and human's faces. Julianne suited up in her harness. "We're going to have to take the ship back to Stormwind. They're on Eastern Kingdoms and we're in Kalimdor," the human said, even though the drake probably already knew that. "Lahzuli and I will meet you 100 wingbeats outside of Stormwind."

The two of them then took off running for the ship to Stormwind.

''You'll have to consecrate the ground.'', Decay told Azu. ''I'm sure these crusaders know how to deal with it...''

She looked around, impressed with the paladin's and priests quickly set up defenses. ''She's a fool to attack this place. It'll go like the Light of Dawn.''

The catapults rolled closer, still launching barrels of plague. The priests were putting up powerful barriers, and the plague simply bounced off.

Indi ground her teeth, but the safest place for them was inside the defenses the priests and paladins were setting up. The excessive use of holy magics was beginning to make her skin crawl painfully.

"Think our chances of survival are pretty decent then?" she asked, hissing slightly.

''You weren't here during the Light of Dawn. She's getting herself killed.'', Decay said confidently, but she quickly noticed something off with what she had just said. ''Liches...'', she muttered, realizing the gnome's plans. ''We need to save her!'', she exclaimed, unsheathing her swords in preparation for a charge.

The human knew flying wouldn't be the most practical option. On a good day, sure. Exhausted, no. He was glad Azu had made him pick up a hearthstone from the Stormwind innkeeper, and he touched the stone. It glowed, the magic weaving around him as he focused on the capital. After a brief flash, he arrived in the city.

He sighed, knowing he had time, and quickly darted to the auction house, picking up various potions before quickly making his way out of the city's sight, taking off into the sky as a dragon.

Azunara flicked her tail, watching, ready to fight if the defenses failed. She blinked at what Decay was saying, and whined. Uh-oh. "She looks pretty small and light, maybe I can take bird form and pick her up."

Of course, the gnome would probably put a knife through her ribs as she was flying. The thought of that made her change her mind, and she resorted to sneaking back into the shadows, trying to decide a good route to the gnome.

Indi summoned a score of bones to float around her ((bone shield)) and unsheathed her axe, following Decay. "You mean we have to save the crazy gnome who's been trying to kill us?!" she asked incredulously.

''Yes.'', she said simply, ready to run out after Indi.

The druid took a deep breath, focusing. Well. If her family was going to break apart, fine. But she was not going to let this blasted gnome kill anyone and help it along. Her claws gripped the ground as she had her path picked out, and slowly slunk along, trying to navigate over to where the gnome was.

Faron, Light's Hope Chapel

Faron spun towards the sound and snarled. "FEL!" Vallrok's voice cursed, and he listened in on Decay. Ah. Great. They had to save her?
He ran towards the forest, intending on circling around the army of Cultists and coming up from behind the gnome. Hopefully he could pluck her out from the crowd...
