Re: Have you helped?

Re: Have you helped?
Saw another Hunter and a rogue buddy of his -struggling- with Deth today. After watching for a minute I realized they had absolutely no idea how to tame the guy correctly. So, I sent the hunter a whisper asking if he wanted some help. Long story short, I got another random stranger telling me he loves me. lol. He was very happy with his new spider.

Re: Have you helped?
ok so i helped a friend (a guildy) nearly get solix before a lock came got agrro pulled him outside and killed him, neraly tame skites but other hunter under the "if i can't have him you can't have him" but deth was up. me and him started kiteing him and then an alli hunter showed up pulled out his deth and went to help us. (i want deth too so i kindof gave my friend a hard time) and death started creeping closer to my friend. my friedn dies and at first i thought he despawned but no! my friend tamed him. and guess what. deth told jadefang i was looking for her so my friend went to check if she was up while i went spirit bear hunting (no luck there) but jadfang spawned! i got my mini pet! and the yellow gryoworm (named) was up so thank you deth! hope you have a happy new home!

Re: Have you helped?
Helped with two Deth'tilacs so far! Shlee's never online when he spawns, darn'eet. Found him around an hour ago and he was eventually rehomed to a chuffed belf- the perfect home! It's so much easier with entangling roots, took barely two minutes. Almost had to dive off the cliff to avoid payment!
Also found an orc to tame Skarr after a bit of fumbling around. Spotted him just before stumbling upon Deth. After a near wipe and some tame flailing, the orc snaffled his new companion and they rode happily off into the sunset! Quite literally.
Helped with Kirix a few times by... Being moral support and /cheering at every hunter attempting to tame him. Not quite helping, but it's certainly fun to watch! CARNAGE.
Another failed attempt at helping was Ban'thalos. Seen him up a fair few times and the hunter I whispered just couldn't wrap their heads around the tame. Was a d'aaaawh moment when another hunter grabbed him- but it was still fantastic to see him homed!
Also helped with an Ankha tame. Honest. My tears over it not being Magria gave the taming human a pot o' luck! Honest.

Re: Have you helped?
I've helped silence Skarr/Karkin for various hunters, helped kite Solix and Skitterflame, helped get Deth's health down, and brought a corehound for someone trying Kirix. Since I have all of those already, I looooove helping other hunters.
I get so disappointed when people demand I tell them the taming strategy, though. And then they promptly screw it up, like killing Skitterflame when you tell them FEIGN AND RESET HIM OMG. Argh.

Re: Have you helped?
I dun even know where to start, honestly. I've rehomed sooooooo many Northrend babies that I lost track. Right now I've got one hunter buddy that is constantly asking questions. So far I've either managed to tell him what he needs to know to tame or helped him tame. His count is Ankha, Skarr, Solix, Madexx, Jadefang, and all the Northrend SBs. xD [I can't remember, but there mighta been a Sambas in that mix.]
I've also recently helped my best friend tame Deth, using my druid, thank you guys SO MUCH for pointing out how well the Entangling Roots spell works and also showed him where and how to get on the tree for his Banny.
Just the other day I found Karoma and kept an eye on him/her for my significant other to tame.~

Re: Have you helped?
Sofar have re-homed one Banthy and spend half an hour (And several million speedpots and corehound bloodlusts) helping a buddy get Kirix.
Skarr was up today and Vasken and I both lent a hand and much /luck-ing to to a dwarf who is now the owner of said shiny, shiny kitty.
... And more shoutouts to Vasken who is wonderful and went as far as texting me today when Deth popped up. Hero re-tamer! *applauds*
Re-homing rares gives so many warm, hunter fuzzies D: It's... It's somewhat addictive. Happy hunters and happy rares eeeeeee!~

Re: Have you helped?
Yesterday was a completely lucky day for me and one orc hunter. After catching Karoma, Sambas and Ankha the day before yesterday only shortly after Larkania dinged 85, I rehomed two molten front-rares yesterday.
I was doing my dailies wit my orc hunter Morga, randomly looking for any spawns. I finished with them quickly (as he hasn't much progress, yet) and wanted to return to the portal when I see a red dot running around Kirix place. The name plate says "Kirix" so I begin typing in /who to look for possible new owners. I'm glad to have taken my corehound Fluffy with me (yeah, Harry Potter...) and safely get around Kirix to place myself on a rock. No other hunters are around. The first hunter from my list I whisper is not interested (said she doesn't collect rares, but thanked me for the information, saying that never happened to her before), from the second hunter I get a "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!". We get in group (he's orc, too) together and he runs up to me. I explain him the rock-taming method. We try the single rock first (the one where the wind buff is in front of), but as already written in several posts, it still bugges. The tame finishes, but Kirix just turns around, kills the other orc and goes away.
In this time other people arrived, Alliance and Horde. A belf gets on the same rock where we tried it from first time. She gets her chance, but same thing: he kills her and runs away. Some stupid Alliance priest and mage constantly try to kill Kirix, but he doesn't care and finishes them off in not time (and not only once, but at least four times each one). During Kirix killing party we change rocks to one at the end of his destruction path. There you have the windbuff and can reach him with tame (I'll mark him in my screenshot), I give the orc something to eat and a haste pot, I start bloodlust, he hits tame, but it's not fast enough and Kirix kills him, again. The Belf tries again, but also dies. Then some Nelfs show up (it's two hunters, one with a corehound, so I think they are in group) and try to tame Kirix from solid ground. He kills them both. Other people start to drop in and watch. The Belf, my group Orc and the Nelfs are taking turns. We try with "pop bloodlust, switch skill to marksman - he tames - I silence", but it doesn't work out, Kirix aggroes me and the tame doesn't finish again. The orc in my group has no corehound, so I could stay as mm, but then I have the idea that gets his tame "fiancé has corehound". I beg my faincé to get his orcy ass to us along with his corehound and invite him in our group (that makes three orcs now). Amanon (the orc who wants to tame) is up to 2 minutes before being able to rezz. I watch Kirix kill several other people during the time my fiancé needs to get to us and Amanon being able to rezz. he kills the Belf again, the nelfs, some other people trying to kill him (heehees, didn't work out for you, douche bags!). Finally we three are all gouped up on our rock. Darling poppes bloodlust, Amanon tames, I silence his cast and feign death, the tame finishes and YAY, Kirix moves up to our rock. The other people just stare at us, the belf gives us well earned gratulations and tells us, she already has Skarr and doesn't mind a fair competiton. Then the others leave. We take a screeny of my corehound, darling's Kirix and Amanons Kirix. (The skarr is the one of the belf)

I talk a little to Amanon, explaining him the ghost-kittens strategy when suddenly I notice a red dot on Skarr's/Karkin's northernmost spawnpoint. He just told me, he absolutely loves Skarr's skin to pieces. I get my mouse over the red dot and it says SKARR! Amanon had just left group to finish his dailies, I yell at him in whisper "SKARR IS UP!" we regroup, I explain him the strategy (he has mm as second specc), he switches skills, and tries his luck. Nobody around to be seen. First time he silences Skarr's cast too early and the second one kills him, but the second try all went smoothly and he got his shiny new cat at his side. Picture of his new Skarr in stealth and my Ruby.

Picture of Kirix rocks:
The pink marked rock is the bugged one, you can see it with the piles of sceletons on there) the yellow dart shows where our rock had been. It's the one next to the rock you need to get on, to hop up to fireplume peak, the one most closely to Kirix way.

Wow, lot of text, but it was such a exciting taming (Kirix) and such wonderful luck for Amanon (grats again, if you should ever read it!) to get both these wonderful pets. It was the second rehoming of 4.2 rares that worked (rehomed Solix a week ago, or so) after I almost lost my confidence after two Deth deaths.

Re: Have you helped?
Skarr was rehomed this morning! At the same time, Ban'thalos, Kirix, and Solix was up but I couldn't find them homes on the horde side. The only other 85 hunter on didn't want them and said all they were after now was Skarr....well, I did eagle eye so I could see the upper ledge and Skarr was not there. I replied to a friends message (10 secs), I looked at the NPC overlay were Skarr spawned and was looking at a red dot. I did eagle eye again and sure enough, Skarr had just spawn. I /w the other hunter that Skarr was out as well. They came immediately. They died once because they were in BM spec and thought they were in MM. Changed specs and they tamed Skarr without a hitch. They tried to reward me 200g but I told them no, I was just happy Skarr had a good home...that was payment enough. The hunter told me all they needed now was Magria. I asked about their playing times and they said normally they weren't up at this time but their son had woke them up. I told them they should thank their son for that tame then!

Oh, I guess I should point out that it was Kalliope's fault the other ones didn't get rehomed! She wasn't on for me to /w so she could find someone on the alliance side!!!!

There's been a shortage of tamers alliance side even when I have been on. :/ Wonder if they're still up...

Re: Have you helped?
I helped a Deth tame last night on my lock.
I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?
