Calydonian is near and dear to my heart. He is solely responsible for getting me really excited about Pandaria in the first place. I really fell for him and his adorable animations immediately. In his original location, I tamed him out from under an attacking tiger, which only further solidified the bond. Caly was born before porcupines were supposed to be pets and so his name remains as a tribute to his past life as a boar. There's a reason that he managed to steal the coveted fifth pet spot in my favorite active team - because he's himself.

In a more general sense, I just love the WoW porcupines. They have a lot of personality! My favorites of course are the ones who flip for one/more of their abilities....which pretty much means all the tamed ones. The three spirit beast porcupines only further my love for the family, even though they're not officially part of it. Degu in particular uses a great porcupine toolkit, which makes me happy.

I'm glad they got added officially. It would have made me incredibly sad if they hadn't gotten to stick around.
