Patch 4.1/4.2 - Winged Lion Mount?

One of the latest beta build of Patch 4.1 on PTRs added a new mount model, the Winged Lion Mount! We don't have any information on this mount for the moment, and as I said it looks like a very early version of the model but ... IT'S A LION WITH WINGS!

I imagine it'll use the Gryphon flying animation, which is a bit of a damper. I don't like the gryphon animation. Still, that's complete speculation. ^.^
Of course, who knows if it'll even get into the game. xD

I hope it's not a mount for that.. They need to stop doing that really. It's getting annoying that you see this elite mount but you have to do heroic raids to get it. That being said I'm getting close to getting the undead drake mount in ICC. That also means I would finally get the Kingslayer title as well.

Or I would, if I was part of an elite raiding group like you're probably going to have to be to get it. Either that or RNG against a bazillion other people. No cool mounts for casuals! Ever! /hides Cenarion Hippogryph

I would be happy with a reputation mount as well, although we already have camels.

If it goes the way of the Celestial Steed expect everyone to suddenly hate on it when it does. :P

Believe it or not that's the only reason I haven't bought one. A horse should not have louder wingflaps than a dragon. And my hippogryph is nice and quiet, so I'm fairly happy without a horse made of stars. For now. :B

Exactly! I love the steed but its so freakin loud...my dragon and gryphon/wyverns are more peaceful. ><; Even Invincible doesnt seem to be as loud(I've flown next to someone who has it).

I will not be a happy camper on that, but I won't doubt them doing it. I really regret getting my sparkle pony. Although I will admit seeing people nerd rage over it whenever I do use it is still quite amusing.

It makes a good first mount. Half the people that nerd rage over it just do it cause they cant get one.

I could never hate on a mount like that. It's a FLYING CAT! I am hoping so darn hard that it's one we can buy on the blizz website, or something of that nature, because wow, it's a FLYING CAT! :headbang:
