Well they are probably still working on it, but the one that you see on the Blizzard Facebook page looks very much completed. I rather like the way the Mane flows with the Black/Onyx coloring of the lions body. It looks like something that is from the Tol'Vir/Uldum area.

Just popping this here for those who didn't see the image itself on the Facebook page. I was reading some of the comments on the MMO-Champ page, I love the first one XD "Ugly, won't buy it." XD I think it looks gorgeous myself

*wrinkles nose* Not my cup 'o tea. I was really hoping for an updated wyvern so I'm sad. I don't like the colors on this mount and the flaming feet seem a bit excessive to me. I'm glad other people like it, though! A mount I don't like could be someone elses dream mount so that makes me happy

Grats to everyone who likes this mount and will buy it! A flying lion is pretty cool

I wonder... the Sparkle Pony has a nice advantage (which I don't know if other mounts now also have, so please, correct me if I'm wrong) that you can mount in/under water and "launch" into flight with them. I wonder if the new Flaming Feline will also do that?

I guess you can count me as one who loves that I can buy the mount at the store. I don't raid, and I can't get through enough content to get the achievement mounts, so it's nice to know I can at least buy a few nice things for myself.

If it's a ground mount too like the celestial / headless horseman mount I will buy it, so I won't have to fly around with the really outdated wind rider or bronze drake (if ever I buy them the fast flying)

I suspect it will remain 'two-toned' since from what I can tell, it's a lion made out of fire with armor on it. So the armor is blackish and the rest of it is, well, fire colored.

I gotta say, I like this better than the sparklepony... if only because its rigging isn't broken. (I kept filing tickets about the sparklepony's broken front hoof and the ends of its wings but oh no, never does it get fixed...)

I am surprised it isn't an Alliance mount but eh. I'm going to buy it, I figure. I've got a little loose cash to burn, and it will make my poor worgens' lives much less full of dulled claws and gravel in their pads.

And to all those people whining about 'it's not a raid mount wah wah wah wah waaaahhh'... I say...

Go sit on your damned runed protodrakes, stone drakes, storm drakes, and bonydargons and SHUT UP.

I have both a Rusted and Ironbound Proto-Drake - and soon my Bloodbathed Frostwyrm Vanquisher and I will still buy this mount :lol:

I don't care how many people /hate store-bought mounts. I happen to love my sparkle pony. Swift Wind fits my paladin, Lighthope's, She-ra theme perfectly, and is her main flying mount. My mage also loves her sparkle pony.

Considering that my warlock has been doing all the Harrison Jones quests in Uldum, I can RP that the winged lion is a well-earned "discovery". I'm going to love having this mount! I just hope it will be available in time for my birthday in April.

Thank you, Blizz, for making this mount available to so many more players than another raid/guild achieve or rare drop would be. I'm looking forward to it!

For those who don't seem to like the Winged Lion perhaps the Fire Hawks Would be more to your taste :3 I personally prefer that Purple one <_< The Red looks way too bright and the green I dunno XD

I think these guys won't come out anytime soon, since I think they will be Achievement mounts for Firelands, and the purple one could possibly be a drop from one of the creatures inside or something else if it's added.

My particular guess is this is something that would apply to the mounts like Sparkle Pony, Headless Horseman, etc. because they scale to the riding skill you have, thus when they are underwater they act as though they are a land mount and not a flying mount. I don't think other things (Gryphons, Wyverns, drakes, etc.) will work in that manner. You can mount them at the top of the water and take off, but you cannot fly them under the water without getting dismounted.
