PTR Shardtooth and Snorts

Unread post by Yaone »

Both of these guys are no longer tameable to hunters. Shardtooth to Alliance and Snorts to Horde.

Mind providing screencaps? I've no idea who those are. Shardtooth sounds like the blue raptor that got turned skeleton.

Shardtooth and Snorts are the pets of the Horde and Alliance stable masters in the Storm Peaks. Snorts belongs to the Alliance and is an armored boar, and Shardtooth is a white bear who belongs to the Horde. :)

Interesting news, as my boar is Snorts. xD

I don't know about Shardtooth, but Snorts was a pretty interesting tame. You had to stand on the ledge above his owner and stay in LoS while you tamed - he brought like five guards up with him while you did so. Fun tame. :P

Yeah but Tyger...that doesn't help with the Beast Lore. Screenshot the Beast Lore to show they're not tameable. Helps back up the find. :) Wowhead doesnt have that last I checked.

Nub: Haha! A Tame -n- Run.

Nah, I was only going by what I remembered and checked on petopia's page, the wowhead entry has to many cannot be tamed followed by could be. but for sure now, they can't. and even if not brand new, still worth a mention as petopia still has both listed as tameable.

And to Nubbhorns, Shardtooth was really easy as an alliance. Just stood on the roof and used trap launcher to freeze him, tame him, put immediately on passive and watched as the guards bounced him around while killing him. Although its better that he isn't tameable now as the damn arrows hurt. >.<

Interesting. I had Shardtooth for a while and I remember dying during the tame from running off the roof to try and save him as soon as he turned against his former masters. It wasn't that the NPCs got me though... I fell off the cliff. :)

Damn.. I was assuming they would still be tameable on live and went over to tame Snorts, but apparently they've already been made untameable. :( I really wanted him on my Undead Hunter.

Well, you can always go grab one just like it from RFK. No one'll know the difference.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

Except me. ^^' Call me whatever you want, but I always prefer going for the hardest tame of a specific skin. Makes it so much more challenging and helps me bond with the pet.
