Lohn'goron, Bow of the Torn-Heart

Unread post by Hisae »

I have fallen in love with this bow and I want to so badly find a transmog that looks great with it! Here is the item!

http://www.wowhead.com/item=31072

I mean the colors are gorgeous and how you get it, is so touching! I'll either get it on my pandaren hunter or my human one.

So, what are some thoughts on good sets that go with this weapon! :)

Side Note: I hope I haven't offended anyone here on the forums. :( If I have I'm really sorry!

Nothing offensive about asking for transmog advice!

I used to have a set for that bow on an alt. It was built primarily around this armor:
http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=1274

I was also using the Merciless Gladiator's Chain Spaulders with it:
http://www.wowhead.com/item=31964

So maybe that gives you something to start with and you can add your own details or changes?

That bow was a quest chain reward in Shadowmoon Valley. If I remember you had to kill a giant green Firelord to get it.

Looked it up. The quest is called The Cipher of Damnation. It's a group quest and you have to kill a giant green firelord.

I had it and I wish I would have kept it now but who knew transmog was coming back then? I dumped it when I got the Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix from Karazhan.

The Outrunner's set looks decent with that bow ... if you're into not wearing much at all. :D

IMHO that bow aesthetically fits High Elves.

I wonder if Blizzard would give me mine back. They can tell I have done the quests and used to have it if they look hard enough. I would have never deleted it if transmog was possible back then.

I thought they only did that if the item in question was deleted/sold in the past thirty days? It never hurts to ask, though! I mean, the worst that can happen is they say no. (I hope they say yes, though!) :)

Yeah, they've become really strict about restorations and if it was longer than 30 days ago I haven't had any luck. :( Never hurts to try though.

You may be able to re-do the quest for it. When cata rolled out they reset the lower level quests. I have gone back to other areas to pick up transmog items I wished I hadn't gotten rid of.

I use the Savage Gladiator's Set.

It's not an exact match by any means but for some reason it flows REALLY nice together.

Here's me with it, if you'd like to see what I did.
