What will you be wearing as you carve a path into Draenor?

Unread post by Zaranock »

Ever since Transmoging, (bless you and your souls blizz) I think hunters as a whole (and other classes) are characterized by what they wear into combat. Are you a heavily clad front range gunman, or a stealthy, lightly armored back-line archer- or maybe you like it in the thick of it, wearing sturdy armor and wielding a powerful crossbow?

My task to you is this- post your transmog, tell its story, and how it relates to your character. Include your pet, too!

Throwback time for me! My set is very simple but rich in color and theme- its the Striker's Garb set from AQ40. This represents for me what a hunter should be- Not very noticeable or gaudy, but still oozing with danger and power. Its also the first of my set that I've seen used on my server. The massive machine gun sniper rifle accentuates the elegance and the destructiveness in a hunter. My pet is the Ghost Hydra- I've never seen another one on my server. As it is regarded in rarity to the Grimtotem wolf, I keep it with me at all times and is often my first pet used in new content. It has a wolf ability as well, making it very viable in raids.

I have one transmog set that's my all-time favourite, so I'm sure I'll be wearing it in WoD. :)
I love purple and green, so when this PvP gear came out I knew I had to get it. I guess since Veph is my in-game self it just seemed natural to give her a look that mirrored my own tastes. I didn't deviate far from the set itself, though I used different boots since I'm a big fan of what I call the "stompy boot" model, I love the weight it adds to the bottom of a blood elf profile.
Image

When I'm wanting to match Skorn a bit more I have a transmog set that compliments him that I swap to sometimes.
Image

And then there's a third set that I've grown very fond of and wear often as well.
Image

I change transmog sets all the time on a whim if I'm feeling like something different, even now I'm wearing something different from all of the above (x), but those would probably be my main 3. :)

Those are awesome Veph- especially stompy boots model! I too am fond of that type of boot. Adds depth and strength to a mog imo.

I must also comment that it is refreshing to see a female not mogging a mail or plate-kini...Good grief..

Much as I enjoy the concept of transmog, I seem to mainly still just dress in whatever the heck I get as loot drops, because I love that randomness. I am trying to convince myself that I should transmog, because come on, it's awesome, and I do actually save nice pieces whenever I see one drop. Still, currently none of my characters are wearing any transmogged gear.

But, at the mention of plate-bikinis, I had to come and put this here. Because if I could ever use these shoulders as transmog (I hate PvP, so can't), I would have one plate-bikini wearer. Don't tell me she's not awesome. You know you love it! She was my very first character, and a warrior.

Awesome mogs, guys! I love to see hunter creativity.

And Ashdawn, you DO look very epic. I love the 'dark, beast-elf' spin you put on the grievous gear. Might have to ninja from you =3

Haha, sure, I take pride in people using my mogs, the items I used are:

Replica Coif of the 5 thunders

Grievous Gladiator's Chain Spaulder

Valorous Scourgestalker Tunic

Undercity Dublet (replaceable)

Dragonmaw tabard

Spiked magmoth gloves

Grievous Gladiator's Chain Leggings

Treads of altered history

Accursed bow of the elite.

Enjoy! ^-^

Khai will most likely be going to Draenor in her purple-green set with either her direhorn Battle. She still needs to get the gun to finish off the look (Kickback 5000).

Vephriel, in your Skorn set, what bow is that you're carrying? I like it and don't remember ever seeing it before. I'm currently using my Rhok'delar bow but I have saved every epic ranged weapon I have ever gotten in my bank.

I usually wear the most current tier set unless I really hate one of the pieces. Then that piece gets mogged. Usually, it's the helmet that gets changed since in my opinion, there hasn't been a good looking Hunter Helm since the Onyxia one from T2. I do like the Firelands set a lot and sometimes will xmog completely into that (except for the helm :-). The helm I'm using now was a MoP quest reward, the Wild Plains Helm. I like it because it looks Elven and doesn't hide the face or hair. You can see it partially in my sig.

That would be the Crypt Fiend Slayer that drops in Halls of Reflection. :)

Going to be wearing this set once I get all the pieces. The only downside is that I am having issue's getting the Siren's cry bow so I had to use something else.
Tried to go with a more savage theme to fit with the expansion. :)

Lazuli and I will be entering Draenor in very colorful style, with my fabulous Netherstrike transmog :D

It'll go something like this i imagine:

Me: Draenor, meet Outland. Outland, this is Draenor. You two have a lot of catching up to do
Draenor: We wear...that?
Outland: All this and more! Isn't it fancy? "twirls"
