They're still cats. :( No change whatsoever.

I do apologize about silkworms, if you haven't gotten to that post yet....

That's hopeful! Now I wonder if the new rig will be based on the cat or the worg, or an entirely new skeleton altogether.

What?

Okay, good idea (although....PUPPIES). And I am so grateful to know. But...which will it be closer to? (Rhetorical question.)

I'll....I'll be over here with my head in the sand until that build arrives.

I'm guessing it'll be a new skeleton, with similarities and basing in the dog one. I think they switched to dog for a few internal builds to experiment how it will look like on the new (then (and now) unfinished) skeleton, accidentally released a build with this experiment on, and in the next one they switched back to the placeholder cat skeleton.

I am going to cling to this speculation because I like it! Seems well-reasoned too. Also would explain why there was only one skin color associated with it.

If that's the way they're thinking, this will turn out well. :)

That's what I was thinking too. Sounds like a whole new skeleton.... Oh man so excited :D

Oooo! I hope it's a bit more worg-like. x.x But it sounds great, no rigging issues? Yes please! That assures it's not super similar to the cat skeleton, whew!

Victory! I'm glad that they noticed that the original skeleton was lacking. Now to hope that the new skeleton will capture its regal and fearsome nature from myth.

It would be quite exciting to see a new skeleton if that's what they're doing. I don't think any of the MoP creatures have used new animations, they're all based on existing ones. I have no issue with that as it's understandably time saving, so I'm just curious if they really are going to create a brand new skeleton or if they might just tweak an existing one to fix the clipping but otherwise keep the base.

What great news! Thanks for sharing it :) Yeah, I agree that it's likely they're thinking of the worg model as a starting point. I hope so anyway!
