I figured it would be fun to have a thread to post our Beta pets. Those we have tamed on Beta but, for various reasons, not on live. Also, which of your live pets have different specs on Beta? Tell me!

Meet Rocksanne! Since cats lost the agi buff on Beta the Shale Spider buff has become even more important for solo Beta adventures. Add the fact that I'm on the pvp server with lots of (OP!!) Monks dying to try out their new skills on the huntard. This means the combo of the buff plus a web has made Rocksanne quite the handy Beta Buddy. I tamed a yellow spider a long time ago for the random pet challenge but I didn't really like him. Rocksanne is growing on me though. I find her to be irresistably cute. And she's purple!! Or pink depending on the lighting. I'm liking her a lot.

Then of course there's Nangara. Who I've waited for for a LONG time! Doesn't she look so at home in Org?

I plan to tame a crane but I can't figure out which color I want. My mounts have been buggy making Beta play too annoying the last few days but next time I can actually zone into pandaria with mounts I'm going to try out the different colors and see which one fits.

As far as pet spec changes go the biggest one has been changing my croc, Casanova, to Ferocity. We demolish melee now! It's amazing! I'm also finding that cunning pets are really useful. I really like the consolidation of the pet talents. Previously I always saw cunning as sort of useless but I'm gaining a new appreciation for the tree now.

Woot, another purple Shale Spider!! Purple is by far my favorite color, (well... Aside from Maroon, but their close), and Jazz, my purple Shale Spider, named after the Transformer, is one of my favorite pets, and definitely my go to solo and questing pet. He and I managed to solo all 4 of the Elites in Hyjal for the Molten Front Achievement, and I just adore his look! :mrgreen:

I don't have a pic of her tamed yet. But she likes books!

Thanks to these three, I have not yet gotten to see a "proper" stampede from my regular pets.

I have more than just beta buddies. I have a beta hunter. I created a premade 85 hunter just to try out a stable theme I've had in my head for a while now. I've fallen in love with my beige chimaera.

I'll need to get screenshots of her stable when I get the time tomorrow.

Hmm.. I have to say the pet that has grown on me the most, the one that I have to have the moment the game goes live on my main pet is this little lovely:

My little Senbonsakura. Yeah, I stole the name, but the guy who owns that sword is my favorite character and I don't care!

It is amazing, considering how much I despise the color pink.. and birds for that matter, now I have two bright pink birds that are going to be on my normal five on call list on my main hunter......

Floyd my old joke pet who I actually really like and now Senbonsakura. *headdesk* Floyd lacks the certain elegance of the new cranes, but is still cute.. but the cranes. Love their swim animation and their run animation, they are very nicely handled on the tallstrider skeleton. Plus Seonbonsakura, when he gets hit by a knock back (as far as I can tell) in beta, he plays dead (does his death animation when hit when a knockback) for a few seconds, then gets right back up and keeps on fighting. Tis the funniest thing I've ever seen, and even if it doesn't go live, I'm going to have that image in my head.

Anyways, I love the tigers, especially their vocals-but I haven't found the one that clicks for me. Right now I am using the black-but I'm really wanting a white one, personally.

Sidenote:
Anyone else notice that their ferocity pets in the stables are termed arcane-even when they are ferocity pets when you pull them out?

Haha, wow. I tamed a pink crane too. I didn't think I'd like it much, but I got attached to it an gave it the same name as you did, Shade, funny enough.

Just a coincidence I found worthy to note. xD
