Honestly, I would hate it if Cheetah just became another travelform or a more complicated version of sprint (which is what the proposal in the OP basically is). Right now hunters are the only class that can move at high speed and still fight with full capacity and I like that a lot. To me that's basically the whole point of the ability. Would I prefer it if the dazed effect was removed without the need of a glyph? Yes, of course. But I still prefer the current form over the complete overhauls suggested in this thread.

/Agreed in full

During APTC we can travel at speed with FULL capabilities, amazing for kiting if you know what you doing. To make it a "travel" form would just make it just that, Travel form with no utility. Is the daze component a pain in the ass? sure when you get hit, but its the trade off of us having unique, interesting and at times a more challenging ability compared to others. The fact that now we can choose to glyph the daze away is a nice way of blizzard letting those who really HATE the daze component or struggle with toggling aspects have it easier.... at the cost of a glyph.

Thank you, you two; this sums this up perfectly.

The daze acts as a balancing factor for our GROUP SPEED AURA that can be MAINTAINED INDEFINITELY, which no other class has. Being able to glyph away the daze is lovely for those of us who don't want to deal with it. Rest assured, I am not one of those super talented hunters who is able to pull off daring escapes with clever aspect swappage on anything resembling a regular basis - but I respect the rights of other players needing a way to catch up, since many can't match it, especially now that we can run off and camo.

Would it be absolutely awesome if we didn't have to glyph to remove the daze? Sure! But we'd likely lose some sort of utility or suffer a damage penalty if that were to happen.

I, and other hunters here, have good solid reasons for not wanting this total revamp you suggest. Oh, and by the way? I wasn't one of those against minimum range. I actually feel many of us cheered to see that removed.

Re: minimum range - other classes have gained other protections against us or Blizzard wouldn't've given us complete freedom. Plus the mechanics on deterrence changed, etc. It wasn't something done lightly. :)

It was ALWAYS a question of balance, not us wanting a minimum range. >_<

Aye. Balance is almost always the issue, and the reason.

Being dazed is a detrimental condition. We already are penalized fro using cheetah; less damage. Besides, the cancellation effect and aspect lock out should be something implemented without glyphs. We would not be op if we are not dazed, since other classes doesn't get dazed as well.

there's no solid reason wanting to be dazed. Hunters already penalized if they use cheetah; less damage for giving up hawk.

People don't "want" to be dazed. We accept the dazed effect as something that's supposed to give ballance. You're right that we also lose some dps for not being in Hawk, but appearantly that's not enough for Blizzard so we have to pay either with being dazed or "giving up" a glyph spot. And again, saying "others don't get dazed" is neither here nor there because those "others" don't have the ability to use all their attacks while moving faster.

And may I remind you that you didn't come here asking "do you want daze removed?" - if you had, the reactions and votes probably would've been very different. You asked for a complete overhaul of this aspect with a very specific proposal of how it should be. That's what people have answered to. Our argument isn't "dazed is awsome and it should always be there". We're simply saying that Cheetah as it is now is not as useless as you make it out to be and that we don't want it changed completely.

Yes, the removal of the dazed effect would be nice, but we don't want Cheetah to be a travel form or a sprint - we want it to remain what it is: The ability to run fast and attack with full range at the same time.

It also bears mentioning that if we swap to fox, we are still trading bonus damage for the freedom of movement.

No one likes being dazed. The key is learning when to turn the aspect on and when to turn it off.

Not sure why you're still arguing that we "like being dazed," unless you're not actually reading the dissenting replies.

being dazed is detrimental. I can understand other kind of drawback but daze is just a crippling affect of the game that would make the skill useless. Yes, there are times to use aspec, tsbut other aspects do not have such a negative drawback. Blizzard can just implement other type of drawback which would make cheetah an actually viable option when you pvp.

If they changed the aspect to passively not daze, then they'd turn it into a temporary effect with a cooldown, like the druid group dash ability that I forget the name of (stampeding roar or whatever). Then it wouldn't be an aura. Our speed boost is group-wide and permanent until removed. No other group speed boost does that. There MUST be a downside to it, hence the daze. This is what makes our group speed boost different than everyone else's.

(I apologize to everyone actually reading my posts, as that last paragraph was just rehashing what I and others have already said.)

I was actually able to pack a flag carrier multiple times in Twin Peaks last night. No problem here; I could see the alliance coming and swapped back to fox.
