It's very short and stubby

But then they say when it comes to Depleted-Kyparium Rockets, it's girth that counts <.<

I guess it's the one supposed to go for gobling-engineering (it surely looks appropriate for that). http://mop.wowhead.com/item=87250
Gnome-engineers will get Geosynchronous World Spinner (http://mop.wowhead.com/item=87251).

If it doesn't randomly blow up in flight, I shall be sorely disappointed at their lack of goblin-ness. :(

Gnomish has the Geosyncronizer World Mover, but it's model hasn't been shown yet. (It's? Its?)

This is just really wishful thinking on my end, but I hope it'll look a little like the vehicle here:

Image

I mean, when they say World-spinner, I just imagine those devices you get strapped into that just spin you in place at all kinds of angles, or a ball you put little critters in and they roll around in it.

The Aether Ring here doesn't really spin the rider around, but it's cool and it floats!

Yeah I was hoping it was not going to be a "rocket" per say either.

I was kind of hoping it would be something completely new like Neil suggested (that would be very neat!) or even something like the hover disks that your could control and surf around on, from the malygos encounter.

But with a more gnomish/mechanical look to them, and less magic and runes and what not.

Hover disks for the win! :)

That all said and done, the current icon for the world spinner seems to be a blue rocket..

so I'm not holding my breath :|

OMG.
I would also be very happy if I was able to make myself a hoverdisk mount.

Yes, and when we see the first goblin riding around on one, we can all ask him if he finally killed Spiderman :D Green Goblin reference for anyone that didn't get it. Seriously though, I wouldn't mind a gyroscope or maybe a giant fireball similar to the one in you ride around in when you're obliterating gnomes for that Uldum quest. It'll be a huge kick to the nuts if it only ends up being one of those airplanes they've had as part of various backgrounds since vanilla.

If it isn't correct, I think the disk idea might be in the right spirit at least.

The absurd claim in the name of the gnome mount suggests the rider can have the illusion of standing still while the rest of the world moves under them. Something that moves under an obvious propulsion, like a rocket or rotor or wings, doesn't seem like it would cut it.

That's just a generic icon it shares with the new goblin rocket atm. So yep, you can hold your breath after all (just don't die :p )

I'd also be pretty pleased if we ended up with something like the time machine from The Time Machine.

Because yeah, that is SO something the gnomes would do.
