Mists of Pandaria Rare Beasts Riddle

Alright, so I have been permission to tell you all a few things about the rares in Mists of Pandaria.

Right now, they're in beta, but there are two things you need to know:

So basically, we have to figure out how to find these rares to tame them. So it's time for all of Petopia to work together and try to figure out this riddle!

Seeing as you said that hunters can only see them, does that mean other classes can't grief MoP rares? This is getting interesting...

Perhaps-- a rare beast we actually have to HUNT?! Rather than camp? Hooray!

Oh this will drive me insane, but I have to do it anyways!!! Something my 2 best hunter buddies in my guild and I can work together on in live

Okay, try using Eagle Eye to scout out hidden places. Use "real life hunter" skills, not ingame ones, and search the ground carefully for any tracks, or perhaps decoration models such as some bones, or meat that may indicate a recent kill, or a nearby den.
Maybe they even went into such detail as clawmarks on a tree? Who knows. If your exploration of the various zones (Cata proves there's at LEAST one tameable rare per zone, with one or two zones likely having more than one) has shown any sort of obvious hiding locations for a rare, like a cave in a mountain with nothing in it, then check there.

What if it only shows up on our radars with track beasts? ...and then use the flare thing to see them?

oh i wonder what kinds of rares we have this time around. most likely they are skins we want and make sense for existing families.

I've had track beasts on, been looking since the patch came up yesterday. I recently turned on track hidden as well.

If they added the bright pink crane in as a rare I wont rest til I find him! (Even though I hate the color pink I bonded with a pink crane and I cant imagine him any other color -_- lol) This actually makes me want to look right now, but GM duties on live come first bah.

I suggest while looking for things like kills or footprints, we have to note the environments that rares (Missing Skins) would fit in with. Marticar and the Pink Crane could be found near water. Makes sense, right? Zombie bear could, because of it's undead appearance, be found in a dark forest or even near graveyards.

Some will be more obvious than others, like say a Rare Yak God can be in many different zones because of just that, Yaks are found in many different zones. Same goes for Tigers, Cloud Serpents, Mushan Beasts. Just have to keep looking!

Well we are the only ones with Track Beast after all, so I can see Hunters being the only ones to see them. :mrgreen:

...Well not really because I remember dialup, but. Fffs. I WANT TO HELP DAGNABBIT. Mass hunter search gogogo? Maybe we could make a thread to coordinate where we're looking! Or, or, we could do it in guild, but that would require everyone to be on at once.
