I've wanted to for ages, but sadly WMV doesn't render the effects on that model properly at all and never has

It just looks like a rusty turtle with a few steam effects.

Unless the latest version has fixed it but I'd be surprised. I logged a bug for it way back in Cata beta.

And wonder why all we do is make pretty recolours for hunter pets!

Yeah, the green one was hardest to edit without actually going and colouring everything in by hand.. something about the values used on the original one didn't like the green colour overlay.

I couldn't get it just right and still have that neat fel-fire glow. The purple and blue ones almost made themselves just by editing hues! Would be really easy to implement in game with some texture recoloring.

Purple Terror spawns on the Darkmoon Isle, level (boss skull). At 20% health it gains the buff "submissive" allowing any hunter to tame it.
Is phased and requires it to be summoned by a group of 5 people, one of which must be a warlock, and another must be a hunter.
Casts powerful shadow and fire type magic spells, and will need a well geared group to make tameable. In addition to being tameable, it also drops a minipet of itself, called Mini Terror.
