The White Wolf

Unread post by Ëlfdragon »

I think i already know the answer to this question, but, when it comes to telling stories on the forms, we're aloud to post ones that are not WoW-Related, correct? I have a story I've been telling a friend that he really loves. Its the first one I've ever told him that's not based on something I've read or played. I'm curious as to how other people feel about it, and would love to post it here.

Ok, another questing. How do you change the name to your topic? I would like to change it to the name of the story. I've tried changing it where it says "Subject" before, but it didn't save the change or show that i changed it anywhere but on the post i changed it on.

Thanks Tiger. Here's the first part, I'll probably post the 2nd part later today.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________

"There's too many of them...It’s no use, we're done for..." A human male said, standing protectively in front of his king. "Don’t talk that way, we can and will kill these demons." Another man said from where he stood next to him. The humans braced for another attack, the army of demons in front of them seemingly endless. Half an hour past, and more Humans were falling over, either dead, too tired to continue, or suffering from the demon's poisons.
"It's over...They're too strong..." The King said, causing his solders to turn towards him. Just when the humans thought it was over, that they would all be killed, the demons stopped dead in their tracks. The king and his men looked around, trying to find the cause of the demons pause.
"Look, there!" One man called, calling everyone to look towards the hill leading out of the village. Standing there, at the top of the hill, looking towards the humans and the demons, was a wolf. A wolf as white as snow. Without warning, the white wolf lifted its head to the sky and howled. A deep, powerful howl. Following the howl, hundreds of black as night, red eyed wolves appeared over the hill, and charged at the demons.
The demons didn’t move, didn’t try to defend themselves, and seemed as if they were frozen by a spell. The humans watched the wolves, frozen in shock and fear. Once the demons started to move again, and fight back against the dark wolves, the white wolf charged down the hill, and leapt at the leader. The leader pushed the white wolf off of him, and quickly got up, and called out for a retreat. The white wolf walked over to the king, while the dark wolves chased off the remaining demons. The moon light seemed to get stronger as the White Wolf pressed its nose against the king. There were gasps as his wounds healed.
"Who...Who are you?" The king asked, looking the white wolf in its silver eyes.
"I am the White Wolf, leader of the pack of the Wolves of the Night. And mortal enemies of the Demons." the wolf said.
"How did you know we needed help, great White Wolf?" The King asked.
"The First White Wolf visited me and told me the demons would attempt to enslave the inhabitants of this planet, and kill any that fight back. And I would not allow that to happen."
The White Wolf spent the next couple of nights healing all the people who were injured in the fight. The humans still feared attacks from the demons, but the White Wolf and his pack hung around, and the demons stopped appearing, seemingly fearing the power of this White Wolf and his pack of black as night wolves.....
"And that’s the end of the story." A grandmother said to her granddaughter.
"And that happened...180 years ago, didn’t it, grandma?" She asked. "And are the Wolves still protecting the village?" Suki, the granddaughter, asked.
"Yes. The late White Wolf even sacrificed himself to save the life of our King, and his reincarnation now watches us. Snow, or as most people called her, the White Wolf, and her pack protect us, and will for a long time still. Now, it’s late, and time for you to head to bed." The grandmother said.
"Ok, grandma." The girl said, before heading to bed. She quickly fell to sleep, dreaming of the White Wolf and her pack of black-as-night wolves.

Ok, that's the introduction, or whatever the first part of the story that's not chapter 1 is called, the name escapes me at this moment. Like I said, I'll post the second part later. Tell me what you guys think.

Sorry about the dubble post, but here's the next part.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Suki, 18 now, ran home to her grandmothers, carrying the basket of fruit, vegetables and meat she had bought at the market.
"Grandmother, I’m home!" She called pushing the door open.
"Welcome home, Suki." her grandmother said. Suki placed the basket on the counter, and put the meat in the ice box to keep it from rotting. She then walked into the living room, wondering who she heard her grandmother talking to. "Who are you talking to, grandmother?" She asked.
"Darkness and his son came to pay us a visit." She said.
"Well, hello Darkness, Hello Shadow." Suki said, petting the two wolves on the head.
"Hello, Suki." Darkness said.
"Hi Suki!" Shadow said, his tail wagging.
"How’s Snow?" Suki asked.
"She’s doing fine. Feeling a little weaker then normal, but that’s normal with what tonight is." Darkness said.
"Yes, I remember the late White Wolf never liking the days connected to the nights of the new moon." Suki's Grandmother said.
"That’s because the White Wolf get's their power from the moon, right?" Suki asked.
"It is." Shadow said. Suki and her grandmothers spent a long time talking to the two wolves. As night fell, Darkness and Shadow had to leave, it was time for them to scout for Demons.

Later that night, the White Wolf sat alone, grumbling in a clearing she had stopped in. "Can this night just be over already." Snow said, and looked up at the sky. "Can the moon just come back already?" She pushed herself to her feet and shook her fur. "Darkness keeps telling my I'll get use to this...But I've been alive for 10 years and am STILL not use to how week I feel on this night." She sat back down and looked around at her surroundings. "Well, at least the demons don’t know about this yet..." She sighed.

"Hey, man, look, over there!" One hunter said to another.
"Is that what I think it is?" The other hunter asked.
"Yep, it’s the White Wolf!" the first one said. "And she’s all alone, no guards at all." He said.
"You know what I think we should do?" His friend said.
"What?" He asked.
"What better to prove that we don’t need their protection anymore then the kill the White Wolf itself?" his friend said.
"Kill the White Wolf? But we're not strong enough for that!" he said in disbelief.
"You fool; look at the sky, there’s no moon! Everyone knows the White Wolf is at its weakest on this night!" His friend tightened his grip on his bow.
"You're right." He said. They nodded at each other, and then slowly started to approach the wolf, arrows drawn. Once close enough, they fired.

Snow sat there, staring at the sky, at the stars, lost in her own thought. Suddenly, she leapt up and yelped as he felt an arrow imbeded itself in her shoulder. "Damn it!" She cursed to herself. "I never would have got caught off guard like that on any other night." She growled, scanning the surrounding forest for the attacker. The two hunters moved out of the forest, more arrows drawn. "What is the meaning of this!?" Snow snarled, the hair on the back of her neck rising.
"We're here to prove that we don’t need your protection anymore!" One of the hunters said, and then fired another arrow. Snow dodged, but found it hard with the pain, and the arrow, in her shoulder. The hunters fired off one more arrow each, both missing. Snow made a move to attack, but was unable to, because 5 dark wolves shot out of the forest and attacked the humans, killing them almost instantly.

Suki shot up in her bed, having been woken up by the yelp. "Snow!" She said. Quickly, she put her shoes on, and grabbed her medical kit. She hurried outside, then went in the direction she thought she had heard the yelp come from. She soon arrived at the clearing, and found Snow there, with many dark wolves there as well. When she entered the clearing, the wolves all looked at her, then, knowing she and her grandmother would never hurt Snow, the dark wolves went to scout the forest.
"What happened?" Suki asked when she saw the arrow still in Snow's shoulder.
"Some hunters from your town attacked me." Snow said.
"What?!" Suki asked, her eyes wide.
"Yes. It seems some of you think you no longer need out protection..." Snow said, watching Suki as she started to slowly remove the arrow.
"Those fools..." Suki said, and started mumbling to herself. Snow let out a whimper as the arrow was removed.
"Stupid moonless night..." Snow grumbled. "This wound would be nothing if I had the moon to power me..."
"I’m sorry humans did this." Suki said, placing some medicine on the wound, then wrapping it in a bandage. "This should keep it from getting infected until the moon is back." Suki said.
"Thank you Suki." Snow said, pressing her nose against her cheek. "Now, you should be getting back to your house. It is late, and the demons always hunt around this time."
"Ok." Suki said, packing up her supplies and standing up, a cold chill going down her spine at the mention of the demons.
"I'll have some wolves escort you back, to make sure you're safe." Snow said.
"Thanks." Suki said, petting Snow once before turning to walk back to her house, 3 wolves’ immediately appearing at her side.

Guess there's no interest, or I'm just being ignored. But I'm use to being ignored by 99% of the people here. I only wonder what I did to make everyone hate me. Oh well, not going to lose sleep over this. Kinda funny, joined for the community, and left because of the community...

Dont feel ignored, im sure im not the only one to read and enjoy this tale. Many will show you by writting thier own stories and posting them rather than replying to yours, take that as a compliment, I am begining a new tale myself, in part because of what this story has bought out in me....Thank you for that

I liked this story you have a nice way of building a sense of magic, without going into the nitty gritty of the concept you open up the idea of a vast complex world of magical potential.
I didnt like the way you treat the human hunters, for me giving them names would add to the familiarity but you choose to just call them human hunters. In my mind that made them 2 dimentional mearly plot devices and not human at all.
Dont take that as a complaint its just one readers thoughts . I would like to see more of what youve written you have a nice voice!

Sorry if that last post of mine sounded somewhat...Bitchy, I've just been having a really bad couple of weeks. Which was just made all the more worse 20 minutes ago when some PuG in a dungeon I was doing with some friends accused me of lying about the fact that my mom is dead...Makes me just want to go crawl into a corner, curl into a ball, and cry. And I'm glad you like it. I would have given the hunters names, but I'm really bad at thinking up names, lol. So I didn't feel like giving them any. I'll post the next part for you in a little, once I've cheered up some.

Ok, here's the next part for you guys to enjoy. Its a long one!~
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Suki looked up at the sky while she walked. She was alone, walking through the forest. Normally, she wouldn’t enter the forest alone, but it had been 2 days since the hunters had attacked Snow, and she was worried. And it was the middle of the day; the sun was big and bright in the sky, so she didn’t fear a demon attack. She stopped and looked at the forest around her, looking for the path she and her Grandmother had walked many times. She found it, and followed it to the wolves’ den. It took her another 15 minutes to reach the dens, and she found Snow snoozing in a patch of sunlight when she got there. Snow's ears perked when she heard Suki's approach and she picked up her head.
"Hi, Suki." Snow said.
"I came to see how you're doing. I haven’t seen you in 2 days. And you probably want me to remove that bandage." Suki said. Snow sat up.
"Eh, its Darkness, he doesn’t want me going anywhere near the village alone, but I hate having to have babysitters..." Snow said, babysitters coming out as a growl. Suki laughed, and started to remove the bandage.
"Well, there’s going to be a meeting today, if you guys want to come pay it a visit and see what’s going on."
"Oh? Don’t the humans in your village only have meetings when there’s something you need to vote on?" Suki heard Darkness say, and turned her head to see him walking up, Shadow behind him and waging his tail.
"Yeah." Suki said, looking back to what she was doing.
"What are you guys voting on now?" Snow asked. Suki sat there quietly for a minute, obviously bother by something.
"We're voting on..." Suki sighed, and then finished. "On rather the village still wants your protection or not."
"So, more than just those two hunters feel that you don’t need us anymore." Snow said.
"Yes." Suki said, as she finished removing the bandage.
"Well. If your village votes that you no longer need us, then we will leave." Snow said, looking towards the village.
"I don’t want you guys to leave." Suki said, obviously sad.
"I don’t want to leave Melody and Suki!" Shadow said, whimpering. "They saved me when I was got poisoned by some demons when I was a pup..."
"If it's what the humans want, then we must leave." Darkness said, looking at his son.
"I should be getting back." Suki said, pushing herself to her feet. "I need to start preparing our food for the winter and then get ready for the meeting." Suki dusted off her pants.
"I will make an appearance at the meeting." Snow said. "And I will bring Darkness and Midnight with me."
"Ooooh, can I come? Please please please PLEASE?" Shadow said.
"Only if you stay close to me." Darkness said, looking at his son, who, even though he was 10, still acted like a pup sometimes. Suki looked one more time at the den and the wolves she could see, feeling that it might be the last time she laid eyes on a lot of them, then went back to her house.

"We should hunt down the wolves and kill them!" Jessica was saying. "They killed my sons!"
"That’s only because the idiots attack the White Wolf! Everyone knows better than that, even on the moonless night!" Someone yelled back.
"Enough." King John said. "I did not plan this meeting to vote on rather or not we should hunt down the wolves because they killed two hunters, but to have a vote on rather or not we still need their protection." The meeting broke into another hot debate, people on both sides making good points. Everyone became silent as the doors to the town hall opened, and Snow, as well as Midnight, Darkness, and Shadow walked through.
"White Wolf, what a surprise." John said, bowing. Many of the people who wanted to keep the wolves protection bowed as well, while the others just watched.
"Hello." Snow said.
"I assume you came here because you're heard about the vote we're holding?" The King asked, glancing towards where Suki and Melody sat.
"Yes." Snow said.
"You won’t change my mind no matter what you say!" Someone in the crowd yelled.
"I am not here to try and convince you that you still need our protection." Snow said. "I just came to tell you that, if you do decide that you don’t need us, we will leave within the hour." She stopped walking next to where Suki and her Grandmother sat, but kept her eyes on the king.
"It will take a couple hours to vote then 2 days to tally the votes." The King said.
"Then I shall return in 2 days time, and hear your answer." Snow said, then turned, and left. Once she and the 3 dark wolves were gone, there was no more discussion, and the vote was held.

2 days past, and Snow returned to the village, and returned to the town hall.
"The votes have been tallied." The King said as she entered the building.
"And?" She said, she glanced at Suki and her Grandmother, and saw them looking at the ground.
The King let out a sigh, and then said. "The village has voted that...We no longer need the protection of you and your pack." He said, and Snow could tell he had voted for the wolves to stay.
"Very well." She said, turned, and left. Darkness growled at the cheering they heard as they left.
"But we can’t leave! We just can’t! We're killing or chasing demons off every night!" Shadow said.
"The humans don’t know that, it’s always when they're asleep." Darkness said.
"And we must do as they wish, or they will feel the need to attack us and chase us off." Snow added. Once at the edge of the village, Snow howled, summoning all of her wolves, who quickly appeared. Then, after delivering the report, and with Suki watching on sadly, the wolves left. They left the same way they had entered the town 188 years before.

Suki watched as the wolves left, and once they were out of sight, she ran back to her house, flopped down on her bed, and started to cry. She felt scared; she knew that the demons were still a threat, even though no one believed her story. She had been attacked, and almost killed by one, 2 weeks before, having been lured out into the forest by a spell. She was only alive because Snow had used the moons power to heal her, and she, Darkness, and Midnight had killed the demon.
"Maybe it would have been better if Snow and her wolves didn’t get to me in time." She said when she heard her grandmother enter her room. "If I had been killed by that demon, then the people of the village would know the demons were still around.”
Melody sat on Suki's bed, and ran her hand comfortingly through her hair. "One attack would not have convinced those who feel strongly about this. They wouldn’t have believed that the demons were still here unless they saw one themselves. And Snow and her pack would never let a demon that close to the village.”
"What’s going to happen to us once the demons realize the wolves are gone?" Suki asked, after a couple minutes, and shivered in fear.
"Only time will tell." Melody said, looking out the window and at the blue sky.

I was going to leave the 2 hunters mother nameless, but then I thought about what Star said, so I just named her "Jessica" because I couldn't think of a better name, haha. Anyways, hope you enjoyed it.

Sorry for the long wait, trying to make sure I don't post here to fast, sense I haven't finished creating this story yet. Don't want to get to where I left off to quickly now, do I? Here's the next part, enjoy~
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Snow and her pack walked quietly threw the land. It was the night after they were asked to leave the village.
"This just doesn’t feel right." Fang said. "We shouldn’t have left, Snow, you know what the demons will do once they realize we've gone."
"It doesn’t matter." Snow said. "We originally came to this land to protect the humans. If they feel they no longer need us, then we have no choice but to leave."
"But what about the humans still loyal to us? The ones who still want our protection!" Dusk, a young pup, said.
"Yeah! What about Melody, and Suki! What if the demons try and kill Suki again!" Shadow said, whimpering after the last part.
"Enough!" Darkness snarled. "This is hard enough for Snow as it is, she doesn't need you guys making it harder." The pack quieted down, and continued walking. The wolves broke off and slept in different groups when they finally stopped walking. Snow sat alone at the front of the pack, looking back in the direction of the village. She thought about everyone she left behind in the village, about Shadow's fear...
"Everything’s going to be ok." Darkness said, walking over and sitting down next to Snow. "Everything will be as it’s supposed to be in the end." He said. Snow looked at him then lifted her head to the sky and howled. Many wolves sat up and joined the howl, Darkness, Shadow, and Midnight included.

Suki sat in her bed, and stared out at the forest as it grew darker.
"We have 5 days tops...Before the demons realize the wolves are gone..." She was saying to herself. "Some demons will come tonight, and find fresh tracks, but no signs of the wolves, but will be too scared to attack. Tomorrow night, they will find no new tracks, but will still not attack. And the next night. And then..." A cold shiver went down her back as she remembered the cold blood red eyes staring at her from the darkness.
She fought back the fear she felt, and pushed herself to her feet. She walked down stairs and then outside, checking to make sure the horses were in the stable, and made sure everything was locked up nice and tight. Once she was sure everything was fine, she walked back into the house, and check on her grandmother, who always feel to sleep a couple hours before her.
She checked the window in her grandmothers’ room, and made sure they were locked. Once she was happy, she checked the rest of the locks in the house, and then finally headed back up to her room. She locked and secured her window, then laid down; cuddling the stuffed wolf doll her grandmother had got her when she was 5.

Life in the village didn't change much after the wolves left. People still continued with their daily lives. The only changes were the normal 'it's almost winter' changes. People hunted more, shopped more, and collected enough firewood to last the winter. 2 weeks past, and winter came upon the village in the form of a heavy snowfall. Everyone rushed back to their home when the snow started to fall, even though the younger children wanted to play in the snow.
Suki slept comfortably in her bed, the heat seeping through the floor from the fire in the fireplace. She shot up in her bed when she heard a howl. She ran to her window and looked out, knowing that it wasn't a wolf’s howl. After seeing no movement at all, she returned to her bed.
"It was just a dream." She told herself. "My fear playing tricks on my ears." She laid back down, and stared at her white wolf doll, and thought of Snow and her pack. She hugged it close to her body as she remembered the terrible howl she heard that night...
"Stop it, Suki." She said, chasing off the memories with happier ones. Ones of Shadow, Snow, Darkness, and Midnight, of her parents, of her grandmother. Soon, she was able to fall back to sleep, and dreamed of living with Snow's pack.

Hope you guys enjoyed it~
Cant remember if I said this already, so I'll say it again. If you have any questions about the story, the plot, or any of the characters, feel free to send me a PM or post them here, I'll answer them as best I can.

P.S: Yes, this part is some-what short, and not alot happened, but ever story needs a filler chapter/part or two, don't they? :P
Edit: Fixed a typo I didn't noticed before now
Edit 2: I really hate not noticing mistakes until after the fact....

Here the next part, enjoy~
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Snow watched the snow fall from the mouth of the cave. She was in the cave the pack had lived in before going to the humans’ aid. She pushed herself to her feet and shock out her fur, before turning and walking deeper into the cave.
"You're worried, aren’t you?" Midnight asked her from where she laid next to Darkness.
"I am." Snow said.
"We all are." Midnight said. "But you did the right thing."
"Then why do I feel like I’ve given the humans a death sentence?" Snow asked, sitting down next to Midnight.
"I don’t think you did." Midnight said, sitting up.
"The Humans don’t know just how many demons are still around and how strong they are..." Snow said.
"Well, we just have to hope they are smart enough to send someone after us when they realize." Midnight nuzzled Snow.
"If the demon lets them..." Snow said, and pushed herself to her feet. She walked to the mouth of the cave, and looked up at the sky. As she watched, the clouds parted and a beam of moonlight shined right onto her, making her fur glow. "Please be able to send someone to get us." She whispered, thinking of Suki and Melody.

Suki walked through the village, watching the children play in the snow. She remember when she was young, playing in the snow, with her parents watching on, without a care or fear in the world. She was able to go on with no fears back then because she had her parents, Silver, the late White Wolf, and his pack. Now, her parents were dead, Silver was dead, and Snow and the Wolves of the Night pack had left.
She turned around and headed back towards her home as darkness started to fall. Suddenly, an alarm sounded, and people started rushing their kids into the safety of their homes.
"What’s happening?" One girl was asking her mother. A cold chill went down Suki's spine, and she ran towards her house. She saw movement in the woods as she neared her house, fear threatening to hold her in place.
"It can’t be!" She said to herself, starting to run faster. "I need to get back; grandmother can’t defend herself from them if it is." When she got back to her house, she hurried in and closed the door behind her, locking it.
"What’s going on, Suki?" Melody asked her.
"The village is under attack." Suki said, placing her sword on her back then grabbing her bow and quiver.
"Is it them?" Melody asked.
"I don’t know." Suki said, glancing out the window. Sudden, they heard a howl. "I guess that answers that." She said. "We need to get to the town hall."
"I'll just slow you down." Melody said. "Just go without me."
"There’s no way in hell I’m losing you to the demon. I might have not be able to help mom and dad, but I’ll be damned if I don’t help you!" Suki said. "I'll put you on the back of one of our horses if I have to." Melody didn’t argue anymore, and followed Suki to the stables.
As quickly as she could, and without spooking the horse more than it already was, Suki put the saddle on it, and helped Melody onto it. Then, leading the horse by the rains, she set off for the Town Hall. She didn’t see any demons on the way, but she knew they were out there. She and Melody joined a group heading for the town hall as well, everyone who could fight standing around the edge, while the young, old, and ill stayed in the center of the ground.
"I knew this would happen if they sent the wolves’ away." Bob said. Suki nodded. Soon, they arrived at the town hall, and sent the old, young, and ill into it, while the ones who were able to fight remained outside.
"This is all your fault." Bob yelled. "If you idiots hadn’t sent the wolves away the demons wouldnt be here right now!"
"Our fault?" Cindy replied. "If it wasn’t for you idiots needing the wolves protection, we would be stronger!"
"Enough!" King John said, causing everyone to look at him. "This is not the time to be pointing fingers. What’s done is done, and we must focus on what we have to do now. And that is to protect ourselves with everything we have." Another howl was heard, and the whole group tensed up. The group looked around, trying to find the source of the howling.
"Why haven’t they attacked yet?" Jake, who was Suki's age, asked.
"Like the wolves, they're the strongest at night. They're going to wait until the moon rises before they attack." Suki said, tightening her grip on her bow, fighting against the fear that she felt. Snow started to fall as the humans watched, waited, for the demons to appear.
"Defend the Town Hall with everything you have!" John yelled as the first demon charged out of the woods. As quickly as she could, Suki readied an arrow, and shot it, hitting a demon in the chest. Many arrows started to fly out towards the demons, killing few. Soon, the demons got to close and the people near the front of the group had to switch to using their swords. Suki was one of them. She fought on, seeing people falling around her, the only thought in her mind being that of her grandmother, and the wolves.
The humans fought the whole night, the demons only falling back when the sky cleared of clouds and the sun came out. Suki clutched her arm as she walked towards where the wounded were being treated.
"Suki? Are you ok?" She heard Melody ask, and saw her hurrying towards her.
"I’m ok." She said, giving Melody a tired smile.
"No you're not..." Melody said, and walked with her to where the injured were gathering.

"We can’t last much longer, Sir. If we don’t get help soon the Demons will kill the rest of us in a couple days." Jake said to the King after the demons fled the sun. It had been 4 days since the attacks started.
"We need someone to get the wolves back!" Bob yelled.
"I can’t believe I’m saying this, but he’s right." Jessica said.
"I know. But who can we send? Who do the wolves still trust?" John asked.
"What about Melody?" Sue called out.
"She’s too old. She wouldn’t be able to travel the distance or at the speed she would need too, even with the aid of our fastest charger." Jessica said.
"Then what about her granddaughter? What about Suki?" The group glanced to where Suki was sleeping next to Melody.
"She's been fighting hard every night since the demons have arrived, and she’s tired..." John said. "But, I believe she is the only one who can go." John woke Suki up, and told her of what they wished her to do.
"I'll go. I don’t care how tired I am." She said, pushing herself to her feet, ignoring how sore her muscles were.
"Take Quick Silver." Bob said, walking up to Suki with a horse at his side. "He's the fastest horse in the whole village." She nodded to Bob, and took the rains. She prepared herself as she pushed herself into the saddle.
"I will return for you guys, with Snow and her pack with me." She said, before the horse charged off in the direction she had seen the Wolves leave in. "I just hope I can find them quick enough and we come back before it’s too late..." She quietly added to herself.

There was movement in the forest, as a pair of red eyes followed Suki out of the village, and unseen creatures followed her, hidden by shadows.

Kind of a long one. Sorry it took so long to post this next part, kinda finding it hard to motivate myself to post these. I know there are people out there who are enjoying this, but with no one posting, and with me getting worried that I might get in trouble for all the double posting and what not...Eh, oh well. *shrugs* I'll see you guys at the next update~

Here's the next part~
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Suki felt her horse panting under her. She patted it on the side, and looked around her. It was starting to grow dark, and that didn’t make her feel any safer then she's felt since leaving the village.
“Come on Quick Silver, we need to keep going. You can rest once the sun comes back out.” She said to the horse. The horse snorted and stamped its foot once, then started to walk again. Suki looked on ahead of them, fighting off her own tiredness. The horse suddenly stopped, ears turned towards the forest to their left.
"What did you hear?" Suki said, looking fearfully in that direction. "GO!" Suki yelled, digging her heal into the horses side, when she saw movement. The horse sprang into a full gallop, running as fast as it could. Suki was filled with even greater fear as she saw a demon leap out of the bushes and start to chase her horse. Then another, and another, and another. Soon, there were 6 demons chasing her, slowly catching up to the tired horse. Suki turned to looking ahead of her, and leaned down low on the horse, hoping to cause less drag.
The chase went on like this for an hour, until, without warning, a demon leapt out of the trees and crashed into the horse's side. The horse cried out in pain as it fell. Suki let out a gasp as she was thrown to the ground, landing hard on her side. She was stunned momentarily by the impact. She pushed herself to her feet once she recovered, and grabbed her sword, getting ready to fight.
'So this is it...' She thought to herself. 'This is how it ends? Killed by Demons...I've failed everyone...' Suki tried to block an attack as a demon leapt at her, but was to slow. "SNOW!" She screamed as loud as she could, before everything went black...

Snows head shot up as she thought she heard something in the night. Pushing herself to her feet, she walked quickly to the entrance of her cave.
"Something doesn’t...Feel right." Darkness said, walking up and standing next to her.
"It feels like...Demon's have entered our territory." Midnight said coming to stand on Snow's other side, more wolves walking up.
"But why would they come here? Unless..." Darkness said. Snow suddenly broke into a full on run, running as fast as she could towards where she felt the intruders.
"Move!" Darkness and Midnight barked before following Snow, the majority of the pack following as well. Soon, the scent of Demon's reached the wolves’ nose and they pushed themselves to run faster, also smelling human blood mixed with the scent. Snow howled as the demons came into sight, and leapt on the first one she came into range of.
Seeing the appearance of the Wolves, the other demons turned and attempted to flee, but were to slow. The wolves quickly slayed them all.
"No!" Shadow whimpered, crouching next to a body that wasn’t demon. "No, no, no! I can’t be...Not her." Shadow whimpered more as Snow and the other wolves walk towards him, seeing him press his ears flat against his head. Snow froze in her tracks when she caught the all too familiar sent.
"Suki!" Snow rushed to Shadow's side, and stared down at her friend. Her head snapped up, but she didn’t see the moon, she just saw clouds. Shadow started to howl, joined by all the other dark wolves around. Snow joined in on the howl, and the clouds parted, revealing the moon, which shined right onto Snow.
Snow lower her head, closed her eyes, and pressed her nose against Suki's side, hoping that she wasn’t to late. Shadow watched on as a minute passed, then another, then another. Soon, 10 minutes had past, and Snow lifted her head from Suki, watching her friend. Shadow whimpered when he didn’t notice any change.
"We're too late." Snow whimpered; her ears pressing against her head. Darkness walked up, and stood on Suki's other side. He lowered his head and sniffed her.
"Try again." He said, looking at Snow.
"Why? We're too late..." Snow said.
"No, we're not." Darkness growled. "Did Suki and Melody give up on Shadow when he was poisoned by the Demons?"
"She's...She's poisoned?" Shadow asked, looking up at his father.
"Yes, I can just barely pick up the sent over that of the blood." Darkness said. Snow looked at Darkness, then closed her eyes, fur glowing, and pressed her nose into Suki again. Another 5 minutes past, and there was a change in Suki, her breathing was slowly growing stronger.
"We need to move her." Midnight said, growling slighting as she sensed demons approaching. Snow glanced at the surrounding area.
"Ok." Snow said. "Push her onto my back." She crouched close to the ground. The wolves slowly and carefully pushing Suki onto Snow's back. Once she was on her back, Snow started to trout towards the cave, moving fast, but not fast enough that Suki would fall.
"Watch the surroundings." Snow said as the entered the cave. She then moved to the back of the cave, and placing Suki down, before continuing to heal her.

Here's the next part. Enjoy~
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Snow pushed herself to her feet and stretched, it had been close to an hour sense the pack had returned to the cave with Suki.
"She looks a little better." Shadow said, who hadn’t left Suki's side sense she was found.
"Yeah, but she’s still really week." Snow said, looking at her.
"You should rest, Snow." Darkness said, walking up.
"Yeah." Midnight agreed, also walking up.
"Demons..." The quiet, very week voice came from Suki, causing the 4 wolves to look at her. "Attacking...Village...Won’t last...Long...Please...Help..." Snow looked up at Darkness, Shadow, and Midnight.
"She's strong enough for you to leave her, and the demons wouldn’t dare come here." Darkness said.
"And we can keep some wolves here to guard her and the pups, just in case." Midnight added.
"Shadow." Snow said.
"Yes, Snow?" he asked.
"Pick out 5 strong wolves to stay here with you. Midnight, Darkness, get all the wolves your son doesn’t pick ready to travel." Snow said, before walking to the entrance of the cave, after looking at Suki one last time. 5 minutes past, and the wolves were all ready. Shadow had picked his 5, and was back to sitting next to Suki.
"The humans need us. There’s no telling how they're doing, how many humans are still fighting, or how many demons are attacking them right now, so we must hurry." Snow said.
"I can’t wait to dig my fangs into demon flesh." Fang barked.
"I can’t wait to pay them back for what they did to Suki!" Adolph barked.
"Let’s get going then, the longer we wait the more humans they kill!" Alf said. Snow howled, and then broke into a full blown run, followed closely by her pack.

"Where are the Wolves? Shouldn’t Suki have found them and be back with them by now?" Bob said, panting heavily.
"Maybe she hasn’t been able to find them yet?" Janet said.
"Maybe the demons..." Cindy started to say, before stopping herself.
"We have to believe that she found them and that the Wolves are on their way to save us." John said, glancing at the demons, who had strangely falling back to the tree line, even though the sun was still 3 hours off.
"I don’t think we're going to last until the sun returns." Someone said.
"We must keep fighting. We must remain faithful, and believe the wolves will get here before it’s too late, just like before." Melody said, walking up to the group, causing everyone to look at her. "We must believe that Suki has been successful and is on her way back with the Wolves as we speak." She had her bow in her hand.
"Melody..." John said, looking at one of the oldest people in the village.
"I will fight. I will help hold the Demons at bay until Suki and the Wolves arrive." Melody said. John looked at her, knowing better then to argue with her. The fight resumed as the Demons once again charged at them. 2 hours past, and the fight had taken a turn for the worse, many more humans than normal were falling, due to fatigue and just plainly being very out numbered.
The King had been knocked to the ground, and was expecting the final blow, the one that would end his life. There was suddenly a flash of white above him, and the demon fall onto its side, its throat ripped out. A howl was heard as many wolves started to appear, killing many Demons and chasing off others. Snow appeared in front of the king and howled, causing many demons to appear frozen as the wolves killed them. The humans fell back to rest as the wolves fought off the demons. Soon, the sun appeared and the remaining demons fled into the forest. No wolves chased them as they had before.
"It’s not safe to keep the humans here." Midnight said.
"We should take them back to the cave." Darkness added.
"My people and I are too tired and injured to travel." The King said, sitting down next to the wolves, too tired to remain standing.
"I know." Snow said. "But I don’t know if even we can keep the demons from killing more of you if we stay here. They're more...Dedicated then they were last time. They won’t stop until every last one of you is dead or enslaved." Snow said.
"How can you tell?" John asked.
"When one white wolf dies, it passes its memories on to the next, so we never forget what happened." Snow said.
"So you remember everything?" King John asked as some humans walked up.
"Since the day the first white wolf was born." Snow said, nodding. Snow looked at the humans, counting how many were left standing, and how many needed healing. "How many horses are left?" Snow asked, looking at the king.
"None, the Demons kill all of them earlier tonight." John said. Snow looked over her pack, which sat next to humans, walked around sniffing the body looking for survivors, or sniffed the wounds of the humans.
"Very well. We will carry you on our back." Snow said. "And we must leave as soon as possible." She added. An hour passed before the humans were ready to travel, and began to climb onto the wolves backs. 10 more minutes passed before all the humans were on the back of a wolf.
"Let’s get back to our territory before night falls again." Snow said, and the wolves broke into a fast trout, trying not to cause the injured humans too much pain.

In an act to keep you guys happy, I asked a friend for help with naming some of the wolves...Some of you may recognize "Alf" and remember the show. I have never seen the show, and never heard of it until my friend brought it up while searching for names for me. Anyways, until next time~
PS: If any of you were wondering, i think this post made it clear that Midnight and Darkness are mates~

As promised, here is the next part~
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Snow slowed to a walk as she entered her packs territory. She led her pack a mile into the territory before she stopped.
"We'll stop here for the night." She said. "We must let the humans rest." Snow watched as the humans tiredly got off the backs of the wolves, and formed into a group, with the old, young, and most injured in the middle, and the less injured around the outside. Snow watched as her wolves laid around the outside of the humans, placing themselves in between the humans and where the demons might appear from.
"Are you sure we should be stopping?" Darkness asked, walking up to Snow.
"The humans need rest, and forcing them to remain awake any longer will just cause them more harm." Snow said.
"What if the demons attack?" Midnight asked, sitting down next to Darkness.
"We'll just fight them off. And they wouldn’t dare come this far into our territory." Snow said.
"You should get some rest too, then." Darkness said, nuzzling Snow.
"He's right." Midnight agreed, nodding her head. Snow looked at the two, before going to lie down in a patch of moonlight.
"Very well, but wake me if anything happens." She said.
"I doubt you'll need us to wake you, but we will." Darkness said.

It was quiet around the cave, and the moon shone bright in the sky. 4 wolves slept peacefully, while 2 sat at the entrance to the cave, keeping watch. Shadow picked his head up, which had been on Suki's stomach. Slowly, he pushed himself to his feet, just as another wolf did the same. The two touched noses in a greeting before walking to the mouth of the cave.
"You two can go rest now. We'll take over the watch." Shadow said to the two wolves on watch. They nodded their head before walking deeper into the cave and lying down next to each other. Shadow sat down on one side of the entrance while the other wolf sat on the other side. Shadow glanced at where Suki slept before turning his head towards the stars. 'Please let her pull through this.' He thought. 'I can't imagine a world without her.' He let out a quiet whimper that only he could hear.

3 hours past and Shadow stood up to stretch his legs.
"It's a beautiful night." Dawn, the wolf who he was pared with for the watch, said.
"Yes, it is." Shadow said, looking at her then back up at the Night.
"That human really means a lot to you, doesn’t she?" Dawn asked.
"Yeah, she does. Suki and her grandmother saved me when I was poisoned by some demons as a young pup." Shadow said.
"How did you get poisoned? I can’t imagine the pack letting a demon that close to a pup, let alone our caves." Dawn asked.
"Well...I had snuck away from the caves..." Shadow said, looking down at the ground, embarrassed.
"Now why would you do that?" She asked.
"Well, I just wanted to prove that I was as strong as my parents." Shadow said.
"You parents are Midnight and Darkness, aren’t they?" She asked.
"They are." He replied.
"Ah, that makes since." She said. "So, were you able to kill any demons?" Dawn asked after a minute.
"No. I found one and hurt him badly, but then 2 more appeared and attacked me...Snow and my parents got there in time to keep them from killing me, but I was poisoned badly. Snow wasn’t able to cure the poison because of it being a moonless night, so they took me to Melody and Suki's house the next morning, and Melody used the anti-poison she had made to cure me." Shadow said.
"I wonder if that’s why most of the pack loves them, too." Dawn said, glancing back at where Suki was sleeping.
"Well, my father said Melody has been looking after the pack ever since she was old enough too, and Suki has taken after her grandmother." Shadow said. Dawn was about to say something, but stopped as the two wolves sensed something approach.
"Something’s coming." Dawn said, pushing herself to her feet.
"But what is it?" Shadow asked, walking towards the middle of the cave entrance.
"It doesn’t feel like any wolves..." Dawn said, walking over and standing next to Shadow.
"Demons? But why would they come here?" Shadow asked.
"Because they know most of the pack is gone and that Suki is here." Dawn let out a growl, causing the wolves in the cave to pick up their heads.
"What’s wrong?" Ranulf asked, as he and the 3 others walked up.
"We sense something coming." Shadow said.
"Demons!" he snarled.
"And a lot of them." Otosa said. "We must protect Suki and the pups until Snow and the others return." The 6 wolves made a line in the entrance to the cave, ready to fight off whatever demons dare try and enter it. The wolves held their ground as Demons started to charge at them from out of the forest.
"We mustn’t let them near Suki!" Shadow barked, as he leapt onto one of the Demons. The 6 wolves fought as hard as they could but soon, being out numbered, they had to retreat deeper into the cave.
"Shadow, call for your parents, we can’t hold these demons off for much longer, it seems like they brought the whole pack!" Dawn bark. Shadow quickly threw up his head and howled as loud as he could, hoping that Snow and the others were close enough to hear his howl...

Snow pushed herself to her feet as she heard a howl.
"Something’s wrong." Darkness said. "That was Shadow, he wouldn’t howl like that unless something was happening." Snow glanced at the humans, some stirring because of the howl.
"We need to get back to the cave. Now!" Midnight said with her tail lashing, obviously worried about her son. Snow woke the humans, telling them that they had to move again. Many humans grumbled as they climbed back onto the back of the wolf they were on before.
"I'm sorry, you can rest once we get to the cave. I just want to make sure the wolves I left behind are safe." Snow said, as her pack started to move slowly.

"Something’s not right." Midnight growled as they came into view of the cave.
"Demons!" Darkness snarled when they saw the corpses. The wolves ran to the cave, causing the humans to have to tighten their grip in order to keep from falling off their backs. The pack slowed as they neared the entrance to the cave, and stop as Shadow and Dusk came limping out of it.
"Shadow, stop, you can’t go alone." Dawn was saying.
"What’s going on?" Snow said, as the humans pushed themselves off of the wolves back and entered the cave. Shadow didn’t answer and just continued limping towards the forest.
"Shadow, stop and tell us what happened." Darkness said, moving to standing in front of his son.
"We have to go after them!" Shadow said, looking up at his father.
"Why? What happened?!" Midnight asked.
"Demons attacked." Shadow said, looking at Snow. "There were too many for us to fight off...They...They..." Shadow said.
"They what?" Snow asked, a chill going down her spine.
"They took Suki!!!" Shadow whimpered, his head and tail dropping sadly. "I wasn’t strong enough to keep them away from her! I wasn’t strong enough to protect her..."

I hope I didn't anger some of you with that cliff hanger last time. I know, I hate when shows and books have cliff hangers. Anyways, here's the next part!
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Snow stood there, staring at Shadow, to shocked to growl. Darkness let out a growl, as did all the wolves that were in hearing range.
"What should we do?" Dawn asked. Snow looked up as the sky started to grown light, signaling the arrival of the sun.
"We can’t do anything until tomorrow night." Snow said, feeling week, and it wasn’t because of lack of sleep.
"Why can’t we do something now?" Shadow said, struggling not to growl.
"Because, tonight is the Moonless Night, and we're all worn." Darkness said. Shadow looked at his father as he realized he was right.
All the wolves moved into the cave and laid down in groups, some with humans, some without. Snow sat at the entrance of the cave, staring out at the forest, wondering about Suki, and hoping she was ok.
"Suki is a strong girl." Melody said, coming to sit next to Snow. "She has the cunning and caring of her mother, and the strength and endurance of her Father. I’m sure she'll be fine." Melody placed her hand on Snows back.
"I know." Snow said. "I’m just afraid of what they're going to do with her. If the Demons wanted to kill her, they would have as soon as they got close enough." The two friends sat there in silence, Melody only moving once Snow had falling to sleep.
"I should get to work taking care of everyone." She said to herself, looking around for the medical supplies they had brought. She found them and grabbed a kit, then set to work cleaning and wrapping wounds, starting with the worst. A couple young girls and wolves helped her.

Suki slowly opened her eyes, her whole body sore.
'Still night...' She thought to herself, seeing the stars in the sky. Slowly, she pushed herself up, but felt a drag on her wrist. Her eyes went wide as she saw the shackles on her wrist. 'What the...' She thought to herself, looking around here. "Where am I?" She said to herself, not recognizing the area.
"You are in my home." A voice said. Suki looked around, trying to find to owner of the voice.
"Who’s there?" she asked, trying to sound braver then she felt. Her eyes went wide as a demon, much bigger than any she had ever seen, walked out of the darkness surrounding her. It also looked more human than any demons she’s seen.
"I am Blaze, leader of the demons." It said.
"Why am I here? I would have thought your demons would have killed me the moment they got close enough." Suki asked, wishing she had her sword.
"Because, I ordered them to bring you here. Why else would I send demons right to the White Wolf's cave?" Blaze smiled. Suki's thoughts immediately turned to Snow. "Oh, and don’t worry about the wolves, most of them weren’t at the cave, which is the only reason my demons were able to get into it to retrieve you." Blaze added, walking towards Suki.
"What do you want with me?" Suki asked, fighting back the fear, not wanting this demon to know how terrified she was.
"Two reasons." He said. "One is, we found a way to destroy the moon, and with it, the White Wolf’s power. But we need a human to help us collect some of the things we need for the ritual, the biggest one being human blood. And, I find you attractive...For a human." Blaze said, stopping in front of Suki. Suki tried to pretend she didn’t hear the 2nd reason.
"As if I would ever help you!" Suki said, glaring at Blaze.
"I thought you would say something like that." He said, leaning down and taking Suki's chin in his hand. "To bad for you, you don’t have much of a choice." Suki couldn’t help but shiver as she was forced to stare into his blood red eyes. After a couple seconds, he released Suki's chin and stood back to his full height.
"Now rest." He said, and Suki suddenly started to feel her eye-lids grow heavy. "We have much to get done on the Moonless Night, and not a lot of time to do it.” Suki passed out hearing his laughter.
"Make sure she recovers fully before the sun sets." Blaze said as 3 demons appeared, before disappearing into the forest as dawn approached.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Sorry about how short this one is. I promise the next one will be longer!
Oh, and I don't think I'm going to go through the trouble of naming any of the Demons except Blaze, I see the other ones as bruits that will just do whatever Blaze tells them to.

Here's the next part, and as promised, its longer then the last~
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Shadow walked around the cave, stopping to sniff the spot where Suki had been laying the night before.
"How could I let them get past me like that...?” He mumbled to himself. "How could I let them take her...?” He walked to the entrance of the cave and sat down, away from any other wolves or humans. "I'll never live up to be as strong as mom and dad if I can’t even protect one human from some demons." He looked down at his wrapped up lag.
"It's not your fault." He heard Dawn say from behind him. "There were too many for us to handle. It wasn’t your fault, and you're most certainly not weak because we couldn’t keep them away from her." Dawn sat down next to Shadow. Shadow looked at Dawn, and then looked back down at the ground. "Don’t make something like this make you feel like you'll never be as strong as Darkness and Midnight. You'll get there in your own time." She said. "They wouldn’t even have been strong enough to fight off all those Demons and protect Suki."
"You're wrong." Shadow said. "They would have been able to fight off all of the Demons..." He let out a whimper.
"No one, not even Snow, would have been able to fight off all those demons AND protect Suki." Dawn said, standing up.
"You're wrong!" Shadow said. "Suki got taken because I was to weak!" He leapt to his feet and ran from the cave.
"Shadow!" Dawn called, finding it hard to stop herself from chasing after him. "Damn it. What do I do now?" She growled to herself, starting to pace in front of the cave. "I need to find Darkness." She said, and hurried back into the cave.

Suki slowly opened her eyes, and pushed herself into a sitting position. She glanced at her hands, and saw they were no longer bound.
'I can escape now!' She thought to herself, and then looked at the surroundings. She saw nothing in the forest around her as it started to grow dark. "You're out there, aren’t you?" She said a chill going down her spine.
"Why of course I am. I need to make sure you don’t escape now, don’t I?" Blaze said, walking out of the forest. "Now come, there is much we need to do before the sun rises again." He said, stopping a couple feet from Suki and holding out his hand.
"I still don’t get what makes you think I'll help you." She said, looking away from Blaze.
"Cause, either you help me, or I'll let my demons do with you as they please. And I'd hate to see you killed by them." Blaze said.
"Then just let me go." Suki said, knowing it was a pointless thing to say.
"But then you'll tell the White Wolf of my plan, and I can’t have that." Blaze smiled. Suki glanced at the forest around her, now seeing the slight movements that gave away the demons presences.
'Guess I have no other choice but to stick with him.' She thought to herself. "Guess I have no choice then." She said, pushing herself to her feet. 'What am I going to do?' She thought to herself. 'I can’t help them destroy the moon and weaken Snow and her pack.’ Suki walked behind Blaze, trying to ignore the fear she felt towards the demons she knew were around them, and, strangely, feeling no fear towards he himself. 'Must be because he looks like a human.' She told herself. Suddenly, he stopped, and once again held out his hand to her.
"You cannot travel at the speed we need to, so I shall carry you to where we need to go." Blaze said.
"I'll walk." Suki said, turning away from Blaze.
"Why must humans always make things so difficult?" Blaze said, before picking Suki up, easily overpowering her.
"Put me down!" She said.
"Not until we get to where we need to go." He said, and he started to run. He ran so fast Suki was forced to close her eyes in order to keep herself from getting sick. What felt like an hour past before he placed her down. He held her in a standing position while her body recovered from their fast travel. Opening her eyes, Suki saw a cave.
"There is an artifact in there that I need for the ritual." Blaze said.
"Then why don’t you go in there and get it." She asked.
"Because, it is guarded by a spell places by the first White Wolf. One that kills demons the moment they try to enter the cave." Blaze said.
"And how do you know it won’t kill me?" Suki asked.
"Because, Humans and Wolves are not enemies like Demons and Wolves are. There would be no reason for the Wolves to block out Humans." Blaze said.
"How do you expect me to be able to defend myself from any guards they left? Let alone see in there!" Suki asked, glancing at the sky, knowing the sun was still many hours off. A black sword appeared in Blaze's hand.
"By using this." He said. "And don’t think about using this against me, it wouldn't harm me at all." He moved the tip of the blade threw his arm, and showed her that it passed through his arm harmlessly. "As for seeing in there, I can’t help you. You'll have to fill your way around the cave." He said, handing her the sword. She took the blade, and would have tried to stab him in the heart had she not known it would be a useless move. So, instead, she turned towards the cave, and started to walk towards it.
"And please come back in one piece, I really do not wish to have to wait another moon cycle to finish this. And I really would rather not have to find another human to have assist me." Suki glanced at him then walked into the cave. She walked for about 5 minutes before she stopped.
"Wait, he said himself Demons can’t get into this cave. So why don’t I just sit in this cave until the Wolves come and find me?" She said to herself. Her thoughts turned to Blaze. 'Then you wouldn’t be able to see him again.' A little voice said in her head. "What do I care if I never see that good-for-nothing Demon again." She said. 'Oh, but you do care. You do.' The voice said again. She sighed, and continued to walk deeper into the darkness of the cave.
Suki walked for what seemed like an hour, but couldn’t have been more than 20 minutes, in the pure darkness of the cave.
"This is probably one reason he has me doing this at night. So I don’t injure my eyes when leaving the cave." She said. "Heh, as if he cares that much." She added after a moment. 'But he does...' The voice said. She walked another 5 minutes before she saw the light shimmer of light.
"That must be what I’m looking for." She said, and started to run towards the light. Soon, she entered a bigger cave. She could see a little pedicle in the middle of the cave, and started to walk towards it. When she got to it, she saw a sliver-moon shaped statue.
"This must be what he’s after." She said, placing her hand on top of it. "Can I really take this from here? Could I really help him?" She thought of Snow, Darkness, Midnight, and Shadow. "Could I really betray them?" She asked herself. "Could I betray grandmother? The King? Everyone?" She sighed and sat down, leaning against the pedicle the statue sat on. She hugged her knees and placed her chin on them, thinking of her friends. Soon, her thoughts turned back to Blaze. She thought of him waiting for her, of him pacing in front of the cave...Worrying about her.
"Would he really worry about me?" She asked. 'I find you attractive...For a human.' His words from the night before echoed threw her head. She looked at the sword in her hands. "Ok, so maybe he does like me, but I don't..." She couldn’t finish the sentence.
"Come on Suki, you can’t really be falling for a DEMON, even if he does look a lot like a human. You were almost killed TWICE by demons, Shadow was almost killed by demons, and your parents were both killed by demons." She said to herself. She spent another couple of minutes thinking, before finally pushing herself to her feet. "Well, either way, he’s waiting." She said, before grabbing the statue. As soon as she removed the statue from where it sat, the ground started to shake.
"I should have known something like this would have happened!" She said, and bolted towards the path she had come out of. She heard the sound of rocks smashing against rocks behind her, causing her to push herself to run faster.

Blaze sat on the ground, watching the cave entrance, and sensing the many demons around the cave. It had been half an hour since he sent Suki into the cave.
"You better come back." He mumbled to himself. "You better not get killed in there." His mind turned to how Suki looked while walking with her grandmother or walking alone. He had spent a lot of time watching her while hiding in the shadows. He pushed himself to his feet, and started to pace outside the cave entrance. He stopped in his tracks as the ground started to shake and the demons, sensing the activation of a defensive spell, started to roar and howl around him.
"Come on, Suki." He said, staring into the front of the cave. He watched the entrance as the shaking started to grow stronger. Minutes pasted before the shaking stopped, and there was still no movement from inside the cave.
"Come on, you have to had made it." He said. Another minute pasted, and he thought he saw something in the darkness. "Is it..." He said to himself. Suki came running out of the cave as he watched, and crashed into him. He let out an 'oof' as he hit the ground.
"Are you ok?" He asked, pushing himself, and her, up. "Did you get the artifact?"
"I did." she said, pushing herself off of him and to her feet. "Here it is." She held out the statue towards him. He reached up to grab the statue, but quickly pulled his hand away as it started to burn him.
"It would seem I can’t even touch it." He said. "I thought this would happen. Put it in this." He handed her a bag. She nodded and placed the statue into the bag.
"But I lost your sword." She said, glancing back towards the cave entrance. He laughed.
"Don’t worry about that." He said, and the sword appeared in his hand. "You can’t lose this sword, for it is made from a part of me, if you 'lose' it, it will just come back to me." He smiled. "Now, shall we head to the next item on the list?" He asked.
"Do I really have a choice?" She asked, causing him to laugh again. He picked her back up, and set off for their next destination.

Here's the next part.

Shadow walked through the forest; it had been 3 hours since he ran from the cave.
"I should go back, they're probably worried." He said to himself. He set back off towards the cave, walking slowly. He started to walk faster as he got closer. Shadow suddenly stopped, sensing demons nearby.
"It feels like those demons are attacking someone...But who?" He asked himself, and turned his head towards where he sensed the demons. Suddenly, he heard a yelp. "Dawn?" He asked, before running towards where he heard the sound come from. He soon saw a part in the trees, and saw Dawn surrounded by demons.
"Just give up and come with us, wolf." One demon was saying. "There’s no way you can take us all on, and the master wants a living wolf brought back to him."
"Never!" Dawn snarled in reply, and leapt at the demon. The demon dodged Dawn, and another one leapt at her. She yelped again as the demon smashed her into the ground. Shadow was filled with rage as he saw her get hurt, a type of rage he couldn’t explain. He sneaked around, stopping when he was right behind the lead demon. He waited for Dawn to get back to her feet. When she seemed recovered to him, he leapt at the demon, taking the back of its neck in his mouth. With a quick shake of his head, he killed it.
"Shadow!" Dawn said, seeing him standing on the demons back. He glanced at her before leaping at the next demon. Dawn, getting the message, also jumped at a demon, killing it. The two wolves easily took out the small group of demons, and sat next to each other to rest when they were all dead.
"What are you doing out here alone?" Shadow asked, fighting back the urge to growl.
"I was looking for you. Your father told me that you'd come back on your own, but then I sensed demons and came to look for you." She said.
"Why didn’t you bring anyone else with you?" He asked.
"Because all the humans and wolves were sleeping." Dawn said. "I’m the only one who’s still up."
Shadow let out a sigh. "Let’s get back to the cave before more demons show up." He said, pushing himself to his feet. They walked in silence for 10 minutes, just enjoying each other’s company.
"What did those Demons want with you anyways? Why did they want you to come with them?" Shadow finally asked.
"I don’t know. They said something about needing wolves’ blood for something." Dawn said.
"I wonder if it has something to do with why they took Suki." Shadow said.
"We should ask Snow once she wakes up." Dawn said as they left the forest and saw the entrance to the cave.
"Well, whatever it is, we need to get Suki back before they force her to help them..." Shadow said.

Suki walked slowly, once again surrounded by darkness in a cave, sword clutched in her hand. She ran her free hand alone the side of the cave, making sure that she didn’t lose her way. She glanced behind her, no longer able to see Blaze standing a little ways from the mouth of the cave. She thought of him while she walked, seeing his smiling face in her mind.
"Stop that, Suki." She said to herself, shaking her head to dislodge the thought. "The only thing that matters is doing this so I can get back to my friends and family." She started to walk faster as she felt a change in the caves temperature. Soon, she saw a light in the darkness, and hurried towards it. She found another cavern, but this one was different. Instead of being on the ground level, the place she was standing at was high up in the cavern. Carefully, she walked to the edge and look down.
"Defiantly can’t jump." She said. She looked around the edge, and found notches in the rock. "Should be able to use these as a ladder." She said. She placed the sword on her hip, and watched as a sheath appeared and wrapped itself around her waist. She sat down at the edge, and placed her feet in the lowest notch she could reach. She prepared herself mentally and physically before pushing herself off and starting to slowly clime down.
She refused to look down as she went, and let out a breath she had been holding when her foot hit solid ground. Turning from the wall, she looked for the statue. She saw it, once again resting in the middle of the cavern, and ran towards it. She was getting a bad feeling in this cave. She grabbed the statue as soon as she got close enough, and ran back towards where she had climbed down.
"No shaking this time." She said to herself, placing the statue in the bag Blaze had given her and starting to climb up. As she neared the top she heard a sound from behind her. She glanced behind her, looking for the source of the sound. She didn’t see anything, but started to climb faster. She once again heard a sound as she pulled herself back onto the ledge she was standing on before. She turned around, and watched the area around her. She thought she saw a shadow speed towards the top of the cave, but she couldn’t be sure.
"My eyes just playing tricks on me." Suki said, and turned from the cavern. She walked quickly back out of the cave. Wanting to get out of it and back to Blaze. She couldn’t help but smile when she left the cave and saw him standing there, waiting.
"Nothing eventful this time?" He asked, looking at her.
"Apparently not." She said, handing the bag to him.
"Shall we be on to the last cave then?" He asked.
"Doesn’t matter what I say, now does it?" She said. He smiled and picked her up, before heading off to the 3rd, and final, cave.

Here's the next part~
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
"Here we are." Blaze said, placing Suki on the ground. Suki looked in front of her, and at the cave.
'Sun should be coming up soon...' She thought to herself, glancing at the sky, then at Blaze, and back at the cave.
"You must hurry for this one; I won’t be able to remain out here when the sun arrives." Blaze said, while he handed her the sword she’s been using.
"I will." She said, smiling at him, and taking the sword. She tightened her grip on the sword and ran into the cave. She slew down as it started to grow very dark around her. She walked in the darkness, hearing nothing. She glanced behind her as she felt a chill go down her spine.
"I feel as if...I’m not alone in this cave." She whispered to herself. She glanced behind her, for once wishing some demons were there. She walked for what seemed like an hour. She started to wonder if this cave would ever come to an end. She was just about to stop to rest when all of a sudden the ground under her slopped steeply, causing her foot to slip and her to fall down the slop. She was barely able to keep from screaming as she fell, and gasped in pain when she suddenly came to a stop, and her head slammed against the ground. She laid there, stunned, her body aching. When she recovered enough to move, she slowly pushed herself into a sitting position. Slowly, she reached up and felt her right arm, which hurt the most. It was really sensitive, and wet.
"Must have been cut." She said. She reached up her hand and held her head, willing it to stop swimming. "Damn it." She said, feeling weak. She sat there for a couple minutes as her body recovered. "Have to stop the bleeding." She said as she started to fill her strength return. She reached down and ripped some of the cloth off of her shirt, then started the hard task of wrapping up the cut on her arm. Once it was wrapped, she pushed herself to her feet.
"I can rest later." She mumbled to herself, setting off again. She started to feel stronger as she walked, even though the pain in her arm didn’t lessen. "I need to see if one of Blaze's demons can heal that when I get out of here." She said. She sighed as she finally entered the main cave, and saw the statue. "Ah, the Full Moon Statue." She said, hurrying to the statue and grabbing it. "Now to get out of here." She placed it in a bag and turned around.
Her eyes went wide as she looked back at the path she came from. Standing there, blocking her way, was a big, black, wolf. A cold chill went down her back as she stared at the wolf.
"So, you are the one who's been helping the Demons." It said.
"Only because I don’t have a choice!" She said.
"That was once true, but now you would help them even if you had a choice." It said. "I can sense your feelings; I know how you feel towards their leader." It growled. Suki tightened her grip on the sword.
"What are you?" Suki asked. "To be able to tell how someone feels towards someone else. Not even Snow can sense that!"
"I am the one created by the White Wolf to protect these statues. I am the one who was created to protect the moon." The wolf took a step towards Suki.
"So, the wolves knew this would happen?" Suki asked.
"Yes, we just didn’t know when." It snarled. "Now, enough of this talk. It doesn’t matter what I tell you, because you'll soon be dead!" The wolf howled, a deep, blood chilling sound, and then charged at Suki. Suki dropped the bag the statue was in, and grasped her sword with both hands, causing her arm to explode in pain, but she ignored it. She parried the wolves’ first attack, and then slashed at its leg. The wolf dodged the attack, and then leapt at her again. She cried out in pain as it took her injured arm in its mouth.

Blaze paced outside the cave, feeling strangely worried. "Something’s different about this cave." He said. "It's taking her longer, too long." He stopped in front of the cave. "What is this that I’m sensing?" He asked. Suddenly, he heard a howl. "Wolves!" He said, turning from the cave and looking at the forest around him, seeing as clearly as a human would during the day.
"There are no Wolves around." Ash said.
"Then where...In the cave?" He turned back towards the cave.
"Maybe they left a guardian?" Ash said. Blaze stared at the cave, starting to feel very worried.
"I’m going in." He said.
"But the shield!" Thorn said. He didn’t care, he ran towards the shield. He fought against the shield as he felt it holding him back, and ignored the pain as his body started to burn.
"I don’t care how much this hurts." He growled, pushing on. "I have to protect her!" He said, pushing even harder. He suddenly flew forward and to the ground as he left the barrier. He laid there for a moment as his body healed itself. He pushed himself to his feet as he heard another howl, and ran as fast as he could, traveling the length of the path in a couple seconds, slowing down only when he saw the ground drop away. He stopped at the bottom of the slop, scenting the Human blood.
"Suki!" He said, growling. "She must have fallen, there’s no way she could have seen the ground drop away." He growled, and continued on, running slower now. He slowed to a walk as he entered the main room of the cave, and looked around it. He almost immediately spotted the back of the wolf, as it slowly walked towards something. 'That must be the guardian they left.' He though.
"Why keep fighting." He heard it snarl. "There’s no way you can defeat me, let alone live. And the demons would be crazy to come here. So why keep fighting, girl?" It asked. It was at that point that Blaze realized the wolf had stopped next to Suki, and had pinned her to the ground. He didn’t hear her reply, but charged towards the wolf.
"Then I guess I’m crazy!" He roared, and leapt on the wolves back.

Suki stabbed at the wolves shoulder with her sword, causing him to release her arm and leap away to avoid the blow. She followed quickly with another slash, making it as strong as she could, hitting the wolf in the side.
"You'll pay for that." It growled. Suki dodged his attack, but the pain in her arm was making it hard.
"Heh, you’re agile for a human." The wolf said as she dodged another one of his attacks. "Even with that arm and the blood you lost. I can tell why they picked you." He added. The wolf let out another howl and made a move to attack her left side, hoping to trick Suki. It work, she moved her sword to guard her left, and he leapt to her right, taking her arm in his mouth once again. Suki gasped, feeling as if her arm was breaking.
Using her arm as a handle, the wolf threw Suki across the cave. She let out a gasp as her back and head slammed against the side of the cave. Suki was barely fast enough to put her hands in-between her head and the ground before she hit it.
"Why keep fighting?" The wolf snarled, coming over and pinning her to the ground. "There’s no way you can defeat me, let alone live. And the demons would be crazy to come here. So why keep fighting, girl?" It asked, lowering its heads until it was right over Suki's neck.
"Because. He’s waiting for me. He’s counting on me." She said, fighting off the darkness that threatened to consume her.
"Then I guess I’m crazy!" She heard someone roar, and the weight of the wolf suddenly vanished. She looked up, and saw Blaze on the Demons back.
"Blaze!" She said weekly.
"If you think I’m about to let you kill her..." He snarled.
"This girl must mean more to you then I thought." The wolf said, throwing Blaze off his back. "Why else would you come in here." It leapt at Blaze. Blaze, who had landed on his feet, easily dodged the attack, then charged at the wolf. Suki watched as a sword suddenly appeared in Blaze's hand. Using his superior speed, Blaze drove his sword into the side of the Wolf. It howled in pain as he forced it to the ground.
"Week little pup." He said, pulling his sword out of its side. Blaze lifted the sword, and started to bring it down on the Wolves neck. The next thing Suki remember was Blazes voice calling threw the darkness.
"Open your eyes, Suki!" He said. "Don’t give up, keep fighting!" She forced her eyes to open and looked at him.
'Is he...Worried?' she though as she looked into his eyes.
"Stay with me." He said, as he picked her up, being careful of her arm. Once she was safely in his arms, Blaze turned and started walking quickly towards the path he had come from.
"The statue." Suki weekly said, and he realized he had completely forgotten about it. He scanned the cave with his eyes, seeing the bag near the other end of the cave. He quickly walked towards the bag, grabbed it, and placed it on Suki's stomach, hoping it wouldn’t fall. He then set back off for the path. Soon, he started to run, sensing how week Suki was.
"Stay with me." He said again, glancing down at her.
"Trying to." She mumbled. He stopped at the entrance to the cave, seeing the sun, but not sensing the barrier.
"I have to get you back." He said, pushing himself to run faster than he ever did before, and heading back to the demon’s cave. Suki kept fighting for the whole trip, fighting against the darkness that wished to consume her. Blaze roared as he entered the cave, calling 4 demons to him.
"Heal her, and quickly." He said to the Demons, who looked confused as to why he didn’t just take her blood and kill her when she retrieved the last artifact. "NOW!" Blaze ordered, placing Suki on the ground. The Demons, afraid of Blazes power, quickly set to healing Suki, even thought they were still confused as to why.
