Petopian comic [New Page! 5/6/2012]

okay guys its been a long while since iv done a project and iv been really into webcomics as of late so i thought id start one with YOU as the characters. the comic will follow Zangor the Draenei hunter as he explores the lands of the Warcraft universe and meets various characters be they comical or serious in attitude. each week ill attempt to create a continuation of the story and ill post it here or maybe on a blog somewhere.

with that summary heres the nitty gritty details!
each week on the weeked i will post a poll with a list of 2-3 petopian members that will be voted on to appear in the comic 1 per week. voting will be on monday-wendsday and the page will be uploaded on sundays similar to a newspaper comic strip.
after a petopian has appeared in the comic i will attempt t have them appear in recurring episodes throughout the comic.
once enough petopian mains are in the comic alt characters will appear alongside the main characters.
finally each week a specific beast or skin will be featured in the comic sometimes several will be in one page.

so now i will let you guys give feedback and suggestions here. also the first poll is going to be what continent the adventure should start on!

My only qualm with this is even though you said there would be a poll, I think most people know who the main characters would be IF they are people from this forum. Truthfully enough it could depend but throwing the rest in as simple background members seems kind of rude to me. Thats just me I guess and I mean no offense. What I mean is I guess just pick people at random to appear but I think the comic should follow your character exclusively as he meets various people from the forums be they horde or alliance.

iv reconsidered the structure of the comic.
it still will have members from the community as characters. but instead of a poll ill randomly pick 1 well known member and 1 other random member to star in the strip.
and there wont always be just 1 strip if i think i have a great idea i wont split a sub plot int more than 1 strip and release them individually. any sub plots(thats plots not specifically tied to Zangor's adventures) will all be released the same day.
also i have started up a blog http://thehuntershut.blogspot.com/ to host the images so i don't have to upload them here. i will still update this thread to let you know when the next one is out however.
also in between the sunday strips i may or may not do mini strips.

just a heads up but the first comic strip is ready to go up. ill put it up sometime late tommorow or early sunday and this first strip doesnt really feature a petopian but it does address an issue that iv noticed over the years. the comic for next week will continue the story and introduce the first 2 community members i have selected to appear in the comic. I am also working on creating a more visually appealing template for the blog itself and im looking into image storing options due to blogger limiting how much data i can use for images.

it helps to have your armory profile somewhere i can get to it and to make sure the link works. When i was collecting information for the armor some of my original selections had a broken armory link on their petopia users page. Also thanks for the support guys. im actually finding this to be enjoyable when im not having issues with the model viewer or forget to work on it. The issue im having with model viewer right now is that the shoulder armor size is bugged heavily. and when i export screenshots as PNG files often parts of the model get turned transparent(you can notice this on my character's staff) so its not a walk in the park anymore.

I won't be posting comics every weekend now. I have found that I often don't have time to work on them and when I do I don't have motivation that I used to have. I am not stopping but I will probably start making several in a day so that I have a stockpile to use and I have time to relax.
Also I might start doing less panels in favor of the short 1 or 2 panel approach
And at some point I'll need to figure out a better storage solution since I'm limited by blogger but I want to keep an archive somewhere

Just thought I would share my feelings and thoughts with you guys. Let me know what you think

Oh that's a shame

But I don't think anyone had any expectations of times and amounts... just do them when you can and feel like it. I'm sure we'll all look forward to seeing them
