I decided to make a contribution to Inktober this year and sketched a quick picture of my blind, scuffy Drogbar named Umbrul. Sadly my scanner really ate the linework. :(

I tried my hand at coloring tonight! This is my first foray into digital coloring, but I think it's going well! I still have a LOT of highlighting and shading to do, but I wanted to share the WIP because I'm proud of my progress so far. :D :headbang:

I really like it! Colouring is really hard for me too but that's really good so far! Well done!

Castile: Thank you! :D

Here is the finished piece. I may still play around with lighting a bit more later, but at this point I'm just done with it for awhile.

Oh wow I like the hair strands really cool! Turned out really nice :) It's tempting to keep fiddling with art after you've 'finished' isn't it hehe!

Castile: I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist and my own worst critic, so I keep seeing things I want to go back and tweak/adjust, but I just keep telling myself to leave it alone. ;) I did the coloring by mouse (as I don't have a tablet yet) and I'm surprised the lines turned out as well as they did as I'm terrible at keeping the mouse steady. I also still have SO much to learn about the photoshop coloring process. Like how to properly isolate and clean line work and how to use layers. I will say that youtube tutorials have been helpful though. It's just difficult at times finding ones that will teach me what it is I'm looking to learn.
