I've been playing shuffle on my phone, it is pretty addicting. I've decided to only advance as I beat each stage as S rank, and catch each pokemon before moving on. Makes it a bit more challenging.

Sometimes if I forget what I've been doing in a pokemon game (since I have a tendency to set them down and forget to play for a while) I'll go check on a walkthrough to get my bearings again. This site might help, it's where I generally go, you can look at the chapter list on the right side to see where you were and get an idea of what you need to do next:

So I decided to start a Wonderlocke on X, because wynaut? (lolol pokemon pun)
I traded off my Fennekin and Zigzagoon, and received a Bergmite and a Haxorus (!?!?) with Pokerus.
The sad thing is the Haxorus is far too high level for me to use right now, but I'm going to keep him around for a while yet so that hopefully other pokemon can get the 'rus.

A bergmite is an interesting pokemon to start off with. Just remember to box the pokemon with pokerus before your DS clock hits midnight or they loose it (still keep the growth effects but no-longer spread it)

Steel/Fairy type pokemon I think. Huh. Nothing of interest from it for me tho.

I started an odd game on my Y where I'm trying to use only 1 main pokemon (with a couple of HM mules as well). Decided to go with Bisharp as it's a huge fav of mine, and has lots of resistances, a couple of immunities, and few weaknesses (the 4x Fighting weakness kinda sucks, but luckily it has great stats overall so I can one-shot nearly anything). Managed to get the right Pawniard without an everstone, an Adamant, Defiant male. So, we'll see how it goes. If Kin (my Pawniard) faints, I restart from my last save. It'll be interesting to see how well it goes. Suppose it's a good thing he's getting all the XP (I turned off the share so the mules won't get anything), which means he'll hopefully out-level everything.

I did that with a skiddo/gogoat. It was pretty fun. I fought everything and all the trainers. Got to the E4 at lv 100. Grass solo run was not easy but managed to stumble through. I am thinking of doing another solo run but haven't decided on a partner for it yet.

That'd be interesting, especially with a grass type! I was debating on golette/golurk, pawniard/bisharp, honedge line, noibat/noivern. Decided to try with Bisharp first, as it had good typing and moves. Noivern but it doesn't learn anything decent for a long time, same with golurk. Someday, I'd be tempted to get a emulator for the games to play on the computer or something, so I can play a hacked version and start with a level 1 Zekrom or something similar. Zekrom is my all-time fav, and would love to just play a solo game with him.

Having the move "Horn Leech" was a big help, but yes, a grass type is pretty difficult, so many things where strong/resistant to me. I had Horn leech, earthquake, milk drink and aerialace. with Sap sipper and shiny. I bred is specifically for the run.

starting with a lv 1 legendary would be fun. I'd love to play through with Xerneas or Rayquaza.

Those are good. Luckily with X/Y and everything after, the ability to swap out moves with TMs is a huge help as well.

Yeah, always wanted a game like that...start with a level 1 legendary, and something had happened to it to cause it to loose nearly all it's powers (hence being level 1), and you gotta quest with it. Could easily have a new villain group with it and whatnot. Depending on which legendary you pick could change the overall story.

Working with the "gottadrawemall" group on DA, the current project is "Rock-type" pokemon Collaberation. I was assigned Carracosta.
Tried out a new coloring style, using a soft semi transparent brush. Done in Photoshop.
