For those interested in Magearna, on December 5th, the official site will have a QR code that gives you one for North America.

I believe the pokebank has a safety feature that prevents "hacked" pokemon from being transferred...so a lv255 electrode for example would probably give an error message. However, the only sure way is to wait till the transfer is available in January(?) and see what it lets you transfer over.
Personally I am curious if it will let me transfer over the wild Mew I caught.

I dont think it can track rarecandies. As Rare candies are a part of the game, it likely cant tell which games had non legit candies :>

Sun/Moon Buffed and nerfed a few pokemon/features.

I'm not going over stats, but here's a list:

Dodrio: Buffed. Now learns Swords Dance and Jump Kick

Mantine: Buffed. Now learns Roost

Flygon: BUFFED. Now Learns Dragon Dance

Gengar: NERFED. Levitate ability replaced with Cursed Body.

Talonflame: NERFED: Gale Wings ability now requires full hp to work.

Mega Evolution: Mostly Buffed: Speed/Priority changes brought on by Mega evolution now takes place on the turn of evolution instead of the turn after. Example: Banette Mega evolves while using Will-o-wisp on a faster pokemon. Thanks to Gen 7, Prankster activates immediately upon Mega Evolution and Will-o-wisp is cast first. This DOES however Nerf Mega Sableye, who no longer has the Prankster priority carry over on the turn it Megas.

Gigalith: Buffed. Now has Sand Stream ability.

Vanilluxe: Buffed. Now has Snow Warning ability

Torkoal: Buffed: Now has Drought ability

Pelipper: Buffed. Now has Drizzle.

Burn status: Nerfed. Dmg over time is now 1/16th hp per turn instead of 1/8th

Paralysis: Nerfed. Speed reduction effect is now -50% instead of -75%

Confusion: Nerfed: Chance to hit self now 1/3rd instead of 1/2.

Dark Void: Nerfed. Now ONLY useable by Darkrai. Accuracy lowered to 50%.

Somethings I've found interesting so far in SM:

Heal balls are now actually useful! They heal the HP and status of the pokemon caught in them, since wild pokemon went directly to the PC (where both health and statues where healed automatically) Heal balls were next to useless when you had a full team. Now that you can replace a pokemon in your team with a newly caught pokemon, Heal balls are MUCH more useful!

The game really immerses you in the story right from the start. It was interesting to see that it did NOT ask for gender, but for which picture to use...an interestingly neutral way of doing it.

Captain Llima will forever be Captain Llama, you're welcome!

Shaking grass no longer disappears when you get into a random battle before reaching it! Also it "rushes at the player".

Most grassy patches are avoidable!

When you are close to a trainer that will battle you, you're screen darkens.

Rotomdex marks you're current goal location on the map.

Keep an eye out for the prompt to groom you're pokemon after a battle while exp is being rewarded. Grooming pokemon removes dirt, dust and statues conditions of you're pokemon!

So although I can't play the games yet due to EU getting them later (23rd of this month), I have looked over all the new Pokemon and decided on the team I want to use...

Primarina, Alola Raichu, Alola Sandslash, Salazzle and Kommo-o are going on my team.

I like to leave one spot open as a "See what I run into" case. However there are some I'm looking at including Golisopod, Vikavolt, Oricorio, Tsareena and Alola Marowak.

Sandslash in particular was a sure thing for me... I've always loved his design, but never really found a spot for him on my teams. Now that he's relevant with a new gen 7 form though, I'll finally be able to :D

Two nerfs I missed

Mega Kangaskhan: Parental Bond's second hit now only does 25% of the first hit's dmg instead of 50%

Prankster: The Prankster ability now fails if the opponent is Dark type.

Also missed:

Sheer Cold: Ice types are immune to this. Non-Ice Types using this will have reduced accuracy

Destiny Bond: This move now fails if used repeatedly

Notes on Hyper Training

You need a Bottle Cap to do this (There are a few ways to get em. Pretty rare tho)

Bottle Caps come in two varieties: Regular and Gold.

Regular Bottle Caps can let you boost one IV to 31

Gold Bottlecaps will max all IV's to 31.

IV's boosted through Hyper Training ONLY have effect in battle/stats. When breeding, only the ORIGINAL IV's are passed and Hidden Power's type is for the original IV's.

Male pokemon can pass on their pokeball appearance to the offspring now. Breeding two deinos resulted in a 50/50 split between the mother's premier ball and the father's dusk ball. The beast balls can also be passed onto offspring apparently.
Breeding with a ditto results in the non-ditto pokemon's ball appearance being used 100% of the time.

And I've noticed that wild pokemon stop calling for help if my pokemon paralyzes them. Not sure if burn or poison also does this.

Head's up to shiny hunters using the SoS method for Carbink and Corsola (dunno if this happens to other mons)

Carbink can SoS call Sableye and Corsola can SoS call Mareanie.

Sableye anbd Mareanie happen to be natural predators of the pokemon that call them and WILL try to kill the pokemon. I lost a shiny Carbink to a sableye because of this

Decided to see if I could find a Vulpix for trade to at least breed one for my team, but so far, they're all stupid requests. Mainly stuff you can't actually get in the game until Pokebank is updated in January. None of my friends sadly, are far enough of ahead and Wonder Trade is still full of Donald Trumps. .-.

Edit: Ha. Wonder Trading actually paid off. Someone was asking for a Bagon in which I had just gotten one through WT. Bwahahahahaha. Now I can breed my own before the game ends at least.
