NEWS:
Pokebank has FINALLY updated!

When updated to 1.3, Pokebank will now allow transfers from Gen 6 to Gen 7. To commemorate the update, users of Pokebank will receive the Mewnium Z crystal, allowing a Mew that knows Psychic to use its unique Z-Move: Genesis Supernove....which does dmg and automatically sets Psychic terrain.

Do note, however, that Gen 7 games do NOT have an in-game National Pokedex. The National dex can be seen in Pokebank itself by opening the menu when going thru your boxes. When you open the pokedex, the pokedex in the game you are using for Bank is scanned and everything Seen and Caught in that game is added as such to your bank pokedex. Atm there are no known rewards for a full national dex.

With the Bank update comes an update to PokeTransporter.....

When Transporter is updated to 1.2, not only will you be able to send gen 5 mons to gen 6....but if you have the Virtual Console versions of Red, Blue, Yellow and Green....the Transporter will allow you to send the pokemon from those games to Gen 7.

The following effects occur from Gen 1 to Gen 7 transfers:

1: a new unique Gameboy symbol is given to these pokemon to show their origins.

2: Guarenteed 3 max IV's

3: The pokemon will have its Hidden Ability, if one is available (Gengar doesn't have one)

4: The exp of the pokemon in the gen 1 game will determine the Nature it ends up with.

5: Gender is random.

6: EV's earned in the Gen 1 game are erased when sent to Gen 7

7: An IV spread of 10 Attack, Special, and Speed and 2 Defense will result in a Shiny pokemon.

NOTE: THE GLITCH MEW FROM GEN 1 GAMES CAN NOT BE TRANSFERRED OVER!

Missingno can not be transferred either apparently. Not sure if a glitched mewtwo can be sent. I was able to send a level 1 glitch Nidoqueen with no issues. Nidoqueens still can not breed.

I went back to my Yellow version today. I left off on the Elite Four severely under leveled. Apparently, I didn't fight a lot of the trainers in Victory Road. So far my team is...

Fievel the Pikachu
Ceaser the Tauros
Mercury the Rapidash
Flute the Seadra
Flint the Sandslash
Albion the Pidgeot.

I had considered replacing Flute for a Slowbro, but I don't know if I should this late in the game. .-. Grinding in this game... meh.

Mega Stone News:

The mega stones that have not been released yet (all stones for non-Alola dex pokemon except the Kanto Starters and Rayquaza which we CAN get in-game) will have 2 distribution methods:

1: Like the Beedrillite and Mawilite in the competition next week, some Mega Stones will be distributed as sign-on bonuses for competitions. Players who sign up and participate (not WIN...but PARTICIPATE) in THREE battles or more will receive a serial code that rewards the stones ahead of a 1 or 2 month waiting period...after that waiting period a public code will be released so EVERYONE can get the stones.

2: Some stones will be sent out directly through code. No competitions...no wait periods...no fanciness.

The method used depends on the stone being distributed!

Pokemon Company plans to go through with these methods until Summer.

New Mega Stone Distribution:

The Pidgeotite and Steelixite are coming in a new competition: Kanto X Alola Regional Rumble. This competition is Single battles where only Kanto Pokedex pokemon and Alola Pokedex Pokemon can be used. Mewtwo, Mew, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma and Magearna are banned. Mega Stones are banned. No two pokemon of the same species. No two pokemon holding the same item.

All players who sign up are eligible for the stones...if it is anything like the competition for Mawilite and Beedrillite, you'll need to also participate (not necessarily win but PARTICIPATE) in 3 or more battles to be fully eligible.

Remember that this WON'T be the only way to get the stones...players who sign up just get them earlier than everyone else.

Sign-ups start up on March 9th and end on the 16th (you need a Global Link account with either Sun or Moon sync'ed to it to sign up. You'll also need pokemon in one of your Battle Teams)

Battles start March 17 and end March 19.
