Heh. Haven't seen one of those yet. Thankfully.
I just hope I don't log into destroyed walls and dead Dino's tonight. I would really nerd rage if I did.
Since you're on the beach the I may just expand towards the forest or pick a different spot for my water paddock.

My goal immediately is finishing my perimeter walls and taking in more females for eggs to make kibble.

Ms Tarn - Did you fall off the face of the Earth? Haven't heard from you in a while.

I've been playing for about a week now and so far the game is quite fun.
I'm on the same server as Zed and people there are great, I got stranded inside my house several times by some sort of dino 30+ levels higher hoping for an easy snack , I sent out a call for help and people came almost straight away, A couple of them even gifted me 'Watchdogs' two 60 something rexes and shortly after I found a claimable lvl 96 Carno loitering near my compound. As well as a couple of flyers and plenty of materials to help build and make saddles.

People like that makes the game enjoyable.
I've resolved to help in whatever small way I can to repay their kindness.

Played a little bit today...

I went after a poison spino but forgot my Stimulants so it knocked me out and keept me sleeping

Image

so I had to admin cheat and kill all wild dinos.. must remember antidotes and gas masks!

But luckily killing off all wild dinos gives new spawns and an alpha dilo spawned.. so I tamed that :D

Feel so safe when it watch over me at night (NOT.. its spooky!)

But once the sun is setting the spookyness went away. I love the being able to ride Dilos :D

Can't say enough how much I love this game. While it frustrates the bahjesus out of me I love it. Peoper are so so nice.

A dino got in and wiped out my tames dinos AGAIN and so many folks rallied and too A LOT of time to get me new dinos complete with my own watchdogs.

This is the handsome male:

The female:
I see you!

After losing all my dinos and most of my stuff I finally learned my lesson and built my walls up. Almost nothing is going to get in there now.
My next goal is to start expanding walls to the shore which will take forever. I Built too far from the shore.

Sorry for the double post but on my tablet & sometimes editing gets screwy.
Funny story.

I'd logged out to take care of some things then logged back in. I finally got a new pteranodon and decided to explore. Somehow he'd gotten stuck on foliage. I took all of it down but I guess he got low on stamina because we went straight to the ground. And immediately attacked by five compys. They killed me and in my panic & frustration I hit "random location". Naked in the dark of night I'm walking heartbroken spamming J because I think I may have spawned where I died. Nothing like wondering in the dark with Dino's all around you. Then it happens.

Your Pteranodon Foundling level 67 was killed by ASSHOLE Dino level 135.
Telling you. The immediate depression was very real.
Mind you. During my walk & J spamming I was asking for help. I didn't care about me but my flyer. When I got that message I said in chat:
Never mind. He was killed.
I stopped walking.
Was asked again where i was. I said in chat:
No matter. I'm just going to sit here & let death claim me.
Not sure how long I stood there. Then I just started gathering mats. I walked slowly. Picked stuff up. Angrily punch trees. Made a pick. Kept walking just half ass gathering stuff along the way. I finally have enough and make a torch.
I light it.
And see jaws coming right at my face.
Here's the truly funny part. It scared the bahjesus out of me. Like I full on yelled out loud in real life. I sat there hand over my mouth laughing. I think I even dropped my torch.
Thankfully a savior came in leathered wings AGAIN and killed the raptor. I ran all the way to Nef's house. Caught my breath then ran home. My other kids none the wiser why "mom" was missing for a night and showed back up naked & alone.
Once again the extremely kind souls came to my rescue. I was gifted another flyer and a few others who were Dino's I'd lost before. I'm still laughing about yelling out loud.

But more so. I'm desperate to try and pay it forward the kindness I've been shown. I've tried to put stuff in one of the gifters communal "stores" but it doesn't let me. I'll keep thinking of ways.

Anyway. Wanted to share.

I'm glad things worked out.
And that story sounds abit like my early days :)

People really are wonderful on that server.
I'm alittle envious of your stego but I'll get my own one of these days :)

I was in a similar situation myself before and also got gifted some watchdogs.

The stego was a shocker but I will say this. They are VERY slow. Like molasses in January slow. If you get one or use mine I wouldn't suggest straying to far from home. :|

I've given up on getting a stego after nearly losing Sheila when I died trying to tame one.
Thankfully she was strong enough to hold out untill Pretty Boy and me could get to her but the half tamed stego was a lost cause.

I'll just get another Parasaur and hope he/she lives longer than an hour this time around.

Personally I'd stick with Para's. I love my stego but I only use her around my compound. I don't want to risk her. I can get you a para tonight and leave it in your base if you want so it can hopefully gain levels while you wait.
Otherwise ask if either Levy, Rubble or maybe Laeliia (sp?) have an extra.
I am putting points only into mine's movement speed and health. Just because of they're so slow

I'm on right now but I'm keeping to myself after what happened yesterday.
I appreciate it but Paras aren't too hard so I'll just wait untill one wanders close enough and just nab it.
The reason I wanted a stego is that they're tanks compared to paras.

What happened yesterday? The incident of almost losing Sheila or something else? PM me if you feel comfortable.
Tame a para at least your level or higher. That’ll help. Tranq the hell out of it to get the boost.
I forgot to unlock my crop so you could grab some long grass if you need it.
