Finally was able to dig up the primal mutie. I think I'll keep it buried for now. My current king is pure obsidian and I dunno how likely it is for him to father primal cubs to regular females if I change him.

So Kurzden is growing up, and he's looking quite handsome I think. I guess you can spare with other males? Can he be a sub male yet or does he need to be an adult?

Zed - No worries I hope you're able to expand your territory enough to not need to keep chasing lionesses away. I'll pass on those two myself.

Aleu - Congrats! I just donated enough bones to get it to pop up for me too. Still not sure if I'll use it yet or wait for another interesting male to show up.

Nef - Ooh lucky. Grats on the silkie and the primal!

Max - He does look handsome! I like the black spots on the orange Yup he'll become a sub male once he's grown up and you have the slot available for him. Markings are similar to apparel slots on FR where you have a set amount to begin (10) with and you buy more with GB. I don't know for sure but I believe it's per lion which would explain hidden markings, as they're in slots that you haven't unlocked for that lion. You can find out what they are at the Scrying Stone for 150 SB for the full reveal, but that won't affect the lion until the slots are bought.

My first adolescent male that ran off (I swear it was a glitch) I thought of getting back but again. Evil personality.

I prefer to get adolescents from the giving tree instead of cubs. I have started my own play style in I play nice. I don't fight anything & always choose the kindest options when exploring. I have no karma that I know of & Rake now has the title "Renowned Rake". I felt horrible & heartless when given the option to suffocate or drag away the injured wild dog (or hyena, can't remember which) and I chose to suffocate it. The response made me feel icky. Same thing when I chose to eat one of my beetle larva. If I ended up with an evil king it would be different.

Anyways. I'll try and share who I can. My prides seem to have a changing of the guard too much.

You can actually look at the karma for each explore encounter in the Lioden wiki, so you don't have to wonder I feel unsettled about the hyena one also. It feels like it would be right to kill it out of mercy, but apparently it's not. Also, you can give your beetle larva to the "Kittengarten" instead of eating them if you don't want to sell or keep them. It's a cute option. And you can check your karma at the snakes in the Crossroads if you're curious. Sending lionesses to the nature reserve instead of chasing them is a good way to boost karma, too.

Lovely lions Zed! I'm unsure how to feel about evil personalities myself, though at the same time I can only really see it affecting an RP pride. Aside from Nurturing the only thing personalities do is affect the mood of their counter (good vs evil, kind vs snarky). As such I'm happy to keep Veran despite her being stingy. She's the only evil lioness I own for right now. I've not yet had a lion run away from me so I can't say if that was a glitch or not.

I'm also doing a "good" playstyle but I allow fights if the only other option is to ignore them. As far as I know those encounters don't affect karma. At the same time I'm a cheating derp who read the wiki and found out most of the events that affect it xD You can find out your current karma level at Karma Snake at the Crossroads, or you can wait and find out on your own in time - the lion's eyes in Explore reflect your karma which I found neat.

I'm really miffed right now. I'd bought an Arctic Crevasse marking applicator during the December event and ditzed about debating who to use it on. Scried Yunyoung with it and she looked absolutely GORGEOUS with three of the four possible markings. So I gave it to her. Which marking does it give her? The ONE that I WASN'T interested in. 1 in 4 chance and RNG screws me over. I'm going to be super paranoid in giving random marking applicators to anyone else now.

So maybe I'm confused then. You want karma or no? My thought is karma is bad so why would you want it.

Never mind. I just looked at it on the wiki. Rake's karma must be 200+ to the good because for the first time today I encountered this bloke:

Now this may sound odd but I'd swear that I keep encountering the same lionesses over and over again in exploration. At least some have the exact same colors, eyes, nose as a lioness I'd seen earlier kind of thing. Are they recycled like that or every female supposed to be different?

Edit: Ok hold the phone. The above was from my morning exploration. I just got to my computer so I thought I would try another exploration before my late night exploration. Mr Barbary made his appearance again. I once again chose "Greet". I got a carcass. ZERO IMPRESSION. WTF. It says on the wiki

Nuther bug? Dude. 4 impression is a lot! I am still at the same 3% I was before Mr Barbary.

I'm apparently at 1000+ karma cause I keep getting that one frame of exploring that says the world loves and respects me... With that amazing art (I'll try to get a screencap next time it shows up)

Also, apparently Lioden will be getting a sister site I believe called Wolvden? I noticed some people were chatting about it in the chat box.

Oooh! A wolf?!?! version!!!???? *calms down* I would enjoy that quite a bit and I hope that it comes to fruition soon

There's no name for it yet but yes, they're working on a wolf-themed game that looks to be similar to Lioden. They shared an image at the end of their livestream yesterday (Link to Xylax's channel).


Progress is slow as they're very much still maintaining Lioden as priority but it sounds like it will eventually happen in future!

Also I got the "the world is beautiful" event for the first time!

I'm still here! I've also got quite a few lions looking for homes. Free to anyone who wants them. Some I bred, some are from the tree. Any lion or cub in Timur's "Guest Quarters" cave except for Ligeia and any in Amadeo's "Guest Quarters"

I also have some cubs I'm super happy with, including these three with adult previews. It would be nice if their marking were 100%, but I think they're lovely regardless. I'm on the fence about keeping them, but if anyone wants one, let me know?

I'm still playing too! As I mentioned before Lioden isn't as shareable as FR is, and I for one haven't had anything of major interest to share. Cubs from the tree have been boring, wild lionesses weren't worth claiming and just general blargh. I -did- win the SB raffle yesterday though which is pretty neat.

I realise that I haven't introduced Shari yet. I found her while exploring, markings and everything. She had two cubs today too, both female but neither special aside from having over 100 stats.

Still playing, nothing to show at the moment. I'm proud to have no less than four Ice based lioness, but three of them are still teenagers. I'll show them when they are grown ups. No special birth since.
