'I think' when it comes to blue posts is a slippery slide. ;)

I think if a blue post had been made about it coming out on the 27th, MMOChamp would've been quick to say something, or blue trackers would pop up about it. I've yet to see either! Not that I'm saying it's impossible it's coming out on the 27th (that was about my estimation as well), but I'm pretty sure no blues have put up their hand to say 'Yep. It's the 27th'.
*wees down the slippery slide of fun and rumors* :D
:,D I can't even find the post noooowww. I always tend to find things that I can't find again

does anyone know where, exactly, "Twilight's Run" is within Silithus?

I don't see the name itself appearing anywhere on the map of the zone.

I've always found Wowpedia to be useful in locating sub-zones.

We have patch 5.1 it seems. Downloaded the update a few mins ago. I didn't see new hunter pets listed in the patch update, but I for sure will be heading out to see if I can finally wrangle up a Spirit of the North. :D

They never list hunter pets usually in patch notes (I say usually cause the molten front rares made an appearance but that was the only one)

I believe it's the series of caves in the northeast corner, below the night elven tower on the edge of the zone.

It is, predictably, full of Twilights. And a quest target, which might make finding the red serpent difficult.

This is 100% correct. Acroniss is right next to the quest target, in the deepest part of the tunnel system. It's a bit of a trek!

How long was Acroniss's spawn timer on the PTR? Im waiting here where he spawns now that the servers are up..Never thought this little cave would be so crowded! there were 6 of us at one time...now its down to 3 some gave up lol.

I decided to see if an Arcane Wyrm would suit me so I went and tamed a blue one and a purple one (rather than sit there and compete against 50 people from other servers in CRZ waiting for Acroniss to spawn).

The blue one is pretty, but a bit too pale for my taste.

The purple one is a beautiful rich colour. Since I'm colourblind, I don't see the "Red" element of purple, so to me, purple is just a shade of blue... in this case, a much darker shade of blue. I like.

The seem to stay almost the same size when you tame them. At least, the blue ones do. I suspect that the blue ones are a bit smaller when wild than the purple ones.

how do you tame the spirit of the north? I hit tame and the tame bar goes all the way up and then right when it should be tamed it says tame beast fades & it evades?????!

There is another post just about the Spirit of the North, lots of good ideas there. Check them out. She did "evade" me once, but I just was able to jump down a little bit closer to get next to her and re-tamed successfully. I think some people have put in a bug report on that though so you're not alone. Hope you can get her soon, she's beautiful. :)

would the glyph of faster tame help with this evade glitch?

Probably not in most cases. It didn't help me on the PTR on that count.

Unfortunately, no matter how fast you tame, if the point you tame them is out of their leash, they will evade and fly away.

ah, so the evade glitch is more related to that specific point in your tame - regardless of speed - rather than a specific time duration.

I just tamed a purple one and named him Kain. God these creatures are so beautiful.
Attached to mine already. ♥

These are very beautiful, but their combat movement to me seems sort of jerky. Mine stayed coiled as it moved in and just sort of slid across the screen frozen like that. To me it seemed awkward and unfinished.
