THERE ARE MINOR PLOT SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This thread is for factual information ONLY. (Constructive speculation regarding factual confirmation is okay.)

Changes to Existing Rares:
- Portent's path changes slightly due to the new mining quarry in the Vale. He does NOT phase out, like he did in the initial test build. His new attitude can be summed up in one image (NSFW): http://i.imgur.com/UBeQykY.jpg

I have found some new wolves. Unfortunately they're untameable.
Kor'kron Battlewolf, there seem to be two varieties, some saddled and with Kor'kron Outriders riding them, others are not saddled and eat in the pens at this weird new Kor'kron camp in Northern Barrens. The saddled ones can also be found along Norther Barrens chasing after caravans with their riders. And the Non-saddled Battlewolves come in two colors.

Thanks for the heads up! Good to know that they exist, even if they're not tameable.

Should I mention the flaming bone-dogs marked as beasts or just keep on assuming that they're mismarked?

Kor'kron Flameworg, Untameable.

Might as well mention to keep track - after all, we could get surprised. :) Or not - in which case, it's good to know that they're misflagged as beasts.

I guess I should add that these most guys walk alongside and around a bunch of dark shaman.

Hmmm. Could they be a summon of some type? Maybe they belong to the shaman. I would love to tame one though. xD Sad they're not.

I think I should add that the mounted (on worgen) orc hunters (? Not sure if they are but they have bows and use only those) spawn those hellhounds too, when their mounts are killed.

All of these beasts are a part of Hellscream's shenanigans. I BELIEVE they are aggressive toward Horde and Alliance.
Also a friendly reminder that this thread is for factual information. ^^ I believe Kalli would like to keep it speculation and discussion free? But I mean I guess I shouldn't be the one to say this since it's not my thread I'll just go sit over there...

Nah, you're right, Mia. It would be good if wild speculation stayed outside this thread, but as long as it's not stated as fact, a little speculation based off actual finds is okay. :) After all, we do need to know what to keep an eye on.

The big ol' disclaimer at the top is to help keep side conversations curbed, though it mostly feels like a futile effort anyway. ;) I ought to just rephrase it so it's clear that only facts make it to the first post.

Please keep an eye out for the this beast as well: Riderless Battle Worg (ID: 71228).

It uses that new Horde mount model from Cataclysm. If it became tameable it'd be a whole new model. With the prominent Horde pennant, perhaps not, however.

I haven't seen it yet, but it is a 5.3 addition so presumably it's out there.

Interesting that it's specifically riderless....could be part of a quest, possibly.

As the author has requested, please only post in this thread if you have actual information to supply.

I've already gone through and deleted a number of posts from people who couldn't restrain themselves.

This thread must be kept concise. There's plenty of space in this forum for speculation or opinion threads. Start one :)

Thank you, Wain!

I'm unable to get into the first of the single-player scenarios (the one with Moira) for some reason, so if anyone can and could run around and beast lore things, that would be helpful. :)

Aww, that's a bummer; that's the 5.1 Horde side questline. Thanks for reporting, Rawr. :)

I doubt those two are thr same, because the one linked by Wain says: added in 5.3.

Hopefully in a future build?

What? I can hope. It'd be a really sexy move for Blizzard to do that, and god knows Worgs can use some love. The last time they got it was back in WoTLK with.. well.. not the most beautiful, awe-inspiring model. (subjectively, of course. It bothers me that they are so thin.)

This though. This is what a real worg does look like. :D

Shame they never made an unarmoured version.

They appear to be friendly to horde, so that wouldn't be very fair to half the playerbase - I wouldn't hold my breath on that flag changing, but we should of course keep an eye on it. :)
