So I picked this guy up today, purely because I thought the colours were pretty, and I have no idea what to name him.

Which is annoying and frustrating for me because I very rarely have trouble naming anything.

Any thoughts? Not into funny/silly names, nor latin or scientific types names.

I had Quetzl for a while myself. The colors make me think of sunset over the ocean.

What kinds of names do you like?

How about Zephyr or Zephyrus? Sounds like a good wind-related name!

From what I remember from the mythology, Zephyrus was a nice, gentle one, while this baby looks pretty fierce and dangerous. How about Boreas or Eurus instead?

I tamed that one myself-- and with the red and green colors, I kinda went for light hearted and named her Holly... she's my go-to pet the entire holiday season ;D

How about Beryl? It's a gem that comes in various colors, including aquamarine and orange. That windserpent looks like it's made of gems. Plus Beryl is also a given name in English.

I have a great aunt Beryl :)

I've been considering Klo or Shard lately

I'm liking the idea of Shard and also wanted to add the suggestion of the name Scieran. It's an Old English word meaning "to cut" which is somewhat related. I also think it looks and sounds really nice as a pet name.
