Day of the dead is like the Mexican version of hallowe'en...either that or where hallowe'en came from.

Yes and no. What that article (not suprisingly) leaves out is that the current Day of the Dead is really the Catholic church's adaptation of the existing cultural events, tying them to All Saint's Day. Also the catholic-based european cultures have their on take on this in "All Hallowed Eve". or Halloween.

But it's to some degree just another variation of ancestor worship that you see in almost any culture.

So is there a new mechanic for getting the pet? I seem to remember the old version being rather easy to get. have they changed it because of its new nature as a battlepet?
