Botanist Pair lore - All i did was to replace the dragons name with [name] and the name of the clan with [Clan] . If u want the code where the lore writer is and their shop just toss me a pm here or at flight rising.

first dragon
[name] was born here, and he’d never dream of leaving again. He was fortunate to hatch in plague lands, as dragons elsewhere may not have been so tolerant of his… stench. From the moment he hatched, [name] had a truly impressive case of bad breath. Even other plague hatchlings found it overpowering. It never bothered the young wildclaw; in fact, he hardly seemed to notice the other hatchlings at all. Always in his own little world, with only flies to keep him company, [name] was content.

The malodourous wildclaw took a particular interest in nature, botany, and rot. A botanist from a neighboring clan offered to train him in exchange for work. At first, the clan was glad to be rid of his stench, but over the weeks that followed they realized the odd wildclaw had been an integral sort of presence in the clan, and it just wasn’t the same without him. They started to miss his random appearances, strange comments, and unexpected smiles. A few even missed his stench.

After almost a year, [name]’s training was complete, his debt to the botanist paid, and his time was once again entirely his own. For two months he wandered the Scarred Wasteland, exploring with no real destination in mind. He took a few samples here and there, enjoyed an outlook over the Abiding Boneyard, and slept on the dirt when he was tired. It was a dangerous time and a dangerous place, roving swarms of Mirrors consumed anything in their path. Bulbophyllum was careful to stalk far from the edges of passing swarms, and, by some miracle, managed to avoid conflict with passing strangers. Perhaps he was lucky, or perhaps passing dragons could smell him from a mile away and avoided him. Regardless, his time wandering was an enjoyable one. All good things must come to an end, and one day the wildclaw simply decided it was time to go home.

Time to go home, and time to put what he had learned to good use. The trek home was a long one, through miles and miles of hostile land and searing heat. His water cache was low and his lips parched when he sighted his home clan for the first time in a year. The cavernous den was a welcome sight, offering the promise of shade and water and rest. Before he could reach the entrance, however, a voice called out his name. At first it was an uncertain voice, but it called again, and this time it was excited. Suddenly, [name] found himself surrounded by his clanmates, all unusually happy to see him. When he opened his mouth to speak, they all took a couple of steps back, but the joy in their eyes did not falter. The clan was glad to have their odd friend back, but they definitely hadn’t missed his stench. The wildclaw spent the next few hours recounting before the clan all he had done. They looked on with interest while he spoke of his apprenticeship, and with wonder as he described his time in the Scarred Wasteland, wandering alone.

[name] quickly earned a reputation as one with a great love for all things related to the rot. Dragons from distant clans and foreign regions came to see if the wildclaw really smelled as bad as everyone said he did. One day a strange wildclaw with Plague eyes and a rot disease came to him. She called herself [name] , and she also suffered from bad smell from the rot which had almost consumed her wings. [name]was eager to meet [name]and he thought she was beautiful. She decided to stay with the clan, and the pair fell in love. [name] still likes to joke that it was “love at first smell.”

second dragon
[name] was abandoned young. Left near the edge of the Scarred Wasteland to fend for herself. She never knew why they left her there all alone, but she always suspected it had to do with her wings. She was born with shredded wings. The thin ribbons of cartilage that remained would never be enough to fly. In the borderlands she managed to survive, fighting for her life and finding shelter wherever she could. The days were long and hot, and food was scarce. Her lifestyle provided few opportunities to bathe, and she developed a particular odor. Life was never easy, but [name] was a survivor. She spent years in the wastes, wandering alone. Occasionally, [name] passed near border clans, sometimes she even stayed the night with the more welcoming ones. They rarely asked her questions, and she was always gone by morning.

It was an unusually cool afternoon in the desert when she encountered the strange, plantlike growth. After taking a quick sniff, a segment of the growth latched onto her face. She recoiled, stumbling backwards, but the roots were already enveloping her snout. She tried to roar, but could no longer open her mouth. As she thrashed, clawing at the roots in silence, she heard a voice. It was a gentle voice, a calm voice, and it urged her to relax, to be still. In a few seconds she stopped thrashing, stilled by the voice. The roots had already covered her eyes, but she felt a claw gently brush along her snout. She twitched, but otherwise remained motionless. The voice, low and calm, but quick, sounded almost… excited. In between reassurances, the voice was eagerly assessing the root’s growth, muttering about rare plant life. Within minutes, the stranger had loosened the roots and [name] was free.

She looked up, blinking, to see a red wildclaw standing over her. In seconds a smell overpowered her senses, the stench of something like rot, a familiar smell for her. He smiled, looking at the root sample he had just obtained. Still muttering about the rare plant, he looked over [name] , checking that she was alright. [name] was stunned to silence, and never even caught his name as he slowly trudged off back into the wastes.

For two weeks, she tracked him. Uncertain whether it would be safe to make contact with this stranger from the wastes. At least he was easy to track, all she had to do was follow the stench. Eventually he came to stop at a clan, and they welcomed him warmly. Shocked, [name] simply turned around, and walked back into the wastes without a word.

Weeks later, [name] found herself wandering back to the clan of that stranger. Perhaps curiosity drew her, perhaps something else. She soon discovered the stranger’s name was [name] , and he was a botanist. He recognized her immediately, and apologized for not introducing himself when they met. He was shy at first, but kind, and [name] decided to stay with the clan, at least for a while. Over time the pair grew closer, and eventual

Potion tester
Name1 was lying on his back, the faces of Name2 and Name3 above him. The insertbreed was muttering to Name3[/b] , curling his tail around his claws. She would give an occasional nod to his words, and her hands would tighten on her pearl. She looked terribly frightening with the beak slicing out of the mask she always wore.

"Alright," she said in her deep voice, "we have a new one to test on you." A spider dangled from her wing, spinning in hypnotic circles. "Do you accept to test this drug?" Name was too distracted by the arachnid to put much thought in it, so he gave a grunt to signify his agreement. He already had the words that she said to him each time memorized.

She put his head down onto cold stone. He noticed that with the two--no regard to making him comfortable when he was about to drink one of their concoctions that would probably taste really bad. Regardless, he said nothing, just opened his mouth as they poured the liquid in.

It was strangely thick, with a few lumps in it that tasted like sugar. He had caught a glimpse of the drug and saw that the color had been a vibrant shade of blue. Instantly, he began to feel its affects. The world swayed around him. Trees bent, faces blurred, voices warped. "How do you feel?" Name3 asked.

The words forced themselves out from his thick tongue. "Stupid."
Name2 gave Name3 a wicked grin. "Seems like it's working. So, stupid, what do you think this drug is?"

Name1 made no coherent thought as he answered, "Another attempt to make a better remedy to help the herbs work better?"
He heard the pearlcatcher cackle. "No. No, this is something much, much more useful."
Name1 could barely keep his eyes from shutting. It took a few tries, but he finally asked the question, "What is it?"

He was blacking out as Name3 responded with a dangerous smile. "A truth serum."
And then... darkness.

.....

An apprentice of Baldwin had been chatting idly with a first-time father with a nest of two, when disaster struck. A curious hatchling rammed into the newcomer, causing him to keel over, and a potion bottle shattered against one of the eggs. The glowing green liquid soaked into the egg faster than anyone thought possible.

The alchemist was angrily sent away, but not before being roughed up. The apprentice would probably not survive the darkness that is night in the Shadow kingdom. No one but Baldwin would mourn his passing.

The father grieved, though the egg showed no sign of decay or sickness of any kind. He feared that the potion would turn his child into a monstrosity or a cripple. The mother of the two unborn children grieved in her cave, and refused to come out.

It was a great relief when the egg hatched, and out came a healthy dragon. But, it was a strange one. Its eyes were narrowed, and were that of a Plague dragon. Parts of its wings were leaves, and it was a Wildclaw, while the parents had been a Fae and a Coatl. The colors were also way of the spectrum of their own. The potion had truly altered its appearance.

The father named him Name1, after the potion that had fallen upon his shell. Name1 was a curious creature, always getting into things and eating them. This has been the cause of many upset tummies and belly-aches, but still he persists in tasting the world around him. Soon, he was old enough to leave his clan, as was custom when he was alive. He and his sister set off into the world, one heading south, the other, west.

Name1 braved the wilds of the Tangled Wood, making sure all manner of creatures knew he was alive and capable of fighting. He was not bothered at all, except for a stray pocket mouse that kept running over his scales. At least, until he ate the creature.

Come morning, he moved on. He entered what soon would become his home, the Scarred Wasteland. While there, he met a beautiful Wildclaw that went by the name of Name4 . She was patrolling the borders of her clan, and it was love at first sight.

She took him back to her clan and introduced him to the leader. The clanleader took a liking to him and invited him to stay within the clan. He did so and lived there for many happy years. He assisted the chemist, a successful apprentice of Baldwin's, by gathering materials and testing potions, drugs and medicine. He and Tonic became mates. They were very happy together and had many children.

After a couple of years they decided to move on they flew for miles, away from the destruction that was once their home. The duo eventually found a home insert clan name here and they made it their home.

To get something to occupy his mind he became a tester of the potions made by Name2, and Name3.a quite dangerous job as there are so many unknown compounds to test.

Lair Guard (new names than those above)
Name1 was born to two extremely honor-bound parents. They instilled a strong sense of duty within their daughter, and encouraged her to enroll in the guard of their clan at a very young age. She was barely out of her hatchling years as she willingly became a part of the training.

She had no true moments as a youngster, only as a fighter, a warrior, and a talented one at that. Her trainers pushed her past her limits, and once one softened up too much, he or she was replaced with an even tougher dragon.

The result wasn't quite what they expected. They formed a beautiful dragon aware of the beautiful things around her. She never took anything for granted, and hated to hurt anyone or anything.

Her brother left while she was about half-way through her intensive training. His heart was always a wild one. Even though she never truly got to know him, she mourned his leaving. She hoped that one day she might've gotten to learn the brother that was so quietly sweet, yet easily carried a sense of power and fluidity.

As she was officially sworn into the guard, her parents had their final nest together. But, it was not meant to be. One become overridden with gembond that weighed her down so she couldn't move, and the son had a bad fever as he was born. Despite their best efforts, their last two children died.

In border-patrol one day, she met a dragon that went by the name of Name2. He was trying to find a new life for himself. She invited him to meet the king after deeming him harmless. Her leader seemed to like the company of Name2 and invited him to stay within the clan. Soon, Name1 found herself falling head over heels for this dragon. They both loved each other and had many nests of gorgeous hatchlings.

After a couple of years they decided to move on they flew for miles, away from the destruction that was once their home. They wandered for years in the barren Plague wasteland. Hopping from clan to clan, they never settled. Finally, they found a home on/at insert clan name here

Name1 remains as a guard for her clan. She tries her best to focus on the task at hand, and still retains the skills that she had as a youth, for the most part.

Her eyes always carry a sad laughter, no matter what she is doing. A dim twinkling of sorts fills them. As if, she has already seen what will happen in the future and is simultaneously amused and saddened by it.

She loves observing the world around her and it never ceases to amaze her what nature has to offer. She could spend hours watching a bird search for twigs for its nest, or just simply sit and listen to the wind howl through the hardy trees. Her favorite thing to do is watch the sun go down, or study its rise to midday.
