Finished Accents

"Toxic Shadow" - An improved toxin for orca secondary on the skydancer female. This is meant to work with inkwell feathered wings. (1 print exists)



"Dragotha" - A dracolich-style accent for the male guardian. (5 prints exist)



"Luxumbre" - An accent designed to work with avocado capsule for the male skydancer. (1 print exists)

I think Syleye & Tarn would agree with me: There just aren't enough skeletal guardian accents/skins. So I'm currently working on a dracolich-style accent. This is what I've come up with so far. It still needs shading and I plan to change the skull 'mask' a bit by adding some fangs/teeth and I may yet give the tail some bones or ridges. I also thought about tattering the wings a bit or adding more rib bones. Decisions, decisions...

Also, the color on this will match the apparel 'crown of bones', 'bone antlers', and the 'white birdskull' apparel.

WIP - Take II:

Today I added skeletal tail bits, removed the old rib lines, added new ribs/spines, and edited detail to the skull area including another tooth. What do you think? Should I tatter the wings or add anything else or should I just go on to the shading stage and finish this? Feedback welcome!

Ohh that's amazing. Tattering the wings would be a great details. What about adding extra horns too ?

I worked more on the WIP today and added a progress SS. Let me know what you think!

Should I add more details, such as tattering the wings, etc. Or should I just move onto the shading stage and finish this up? Suggestions and feedback welcomed! ♥

Also, if anyone knows how to check the coverage % in photoshop so I know whether or not I'm venturing dangerously close to skin territory, please let me know! I'd love to know how to keep track of that. I thought I found a good guide, but it was too confusing to follow as I'm a photoshop noob.

I'm pretty sure you're safe, no clue how to check though. I like as is. I'm not a big fan of the tattered look due to still being able to see the wing outline. I love the fact that it will match the bone crown

Extra horns is perfect ion. I would defo add tattered wings too . Sadly i got no clue about the skin thing but think you are good.

Thanks for the feedback. I need to figure out how to check what percentage I'm at before adding anything else. I really want this to be an accent and not a skin due to price. I tried to follow two guides I found on FR, but to be honest, they confused me more than helped me.

I usually prefer accents to full skins, notable exception being the skin on my random progen

Just dug up grave guardian accent as comparison.. this is qualified as an accent.. so i guess yours will be too?

I went ahead and took the chance by just submitting a 5 run print of the accent. It was approved today! Here it is on one of my dragons. 2 copies were gifted and the remaining 2 copies I may raffle off here if there is enough interest. Let me know!

It's lovely. Unfortunately Aloe, my only male guardian, is too lightly colored for it to show up very well.
