Ok, can I just start off by saying that the poem Varethyn wrote is simply adorbs! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, here it is:

T'was the Night of the Nocturne, and all 'cross the land,
Every dragon was stirring, with presents in hand.
Spirits were high as they all watched the air,
Hoping their gift-giver would soon be there.

Hatchlings supposed to be asleep in their beds,
Were prancing and dancing and cheering instead.
Some bore scarves, others silk wraps,
All fresh woken from their long winter naps.

When outside the den there came such a clatter,
And everyone shot over to see what was the matter.
Vines were drawn and rocks were pushed to,
Branches were parted and shaken of dew.

The light of the dawn on the new-fallen snow
Cast the shine of midday and things seemed to glow.
When, what to their wondering eyes would appear,
But a large sleigh, and Imperials dressed as reindeer.

With a fluffy young driver, in whose stride he did lumber
They were surprised to see a goldenrod Tundra.
More rapid than Quillrunners his coursers they came,
He thanked them and whispered to each one by name;

"Now, Bloodmoon! now, Bluemoon! now, Turdus, Merula!
On, Corvus! on Corax! on, Aya and Souma!
To the top of the lair, on top of it all!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the lair top the imperials they flew,
With the sleigh full of gifts, and the strange Tundra too.

And then, in a twinkling, they heard outside
The scrabbling and clawing as onto the roof they did glide.
As they drew in their paws and were turning around,
Down a hidden passage the Tundra did bound.

He was dressed in hide and in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were tarnished with water, with leaves and with soot.
A sack full of gifts he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes - how they twinkled! His demeanour so fair!
His horns lined with bells that had been placed with such care!
His droll little mouth held but a shy grin
As golden-brown fur puffed up over his chin.

A pad of white paper he held tight in his fist,
On which peeking hatchlings could make out a list.
He had a broad face yet his body seemed gaunt,
Though that didn't stop him from taking this jaunt.

He was skinny yet soft, a sight quite absurd,
And around the den's corner quiet tittering was heard.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon let them know there was nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk,
And flaring his wings with his legs all askew,
And giving a nod, up the passage he flew.

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But they heard him exclaim, ere with speed did he employ,
"Season's Greetings to all! And may your gifts bring you joy!"

For my gift, I received a (so beautiful I practically cried) hand-drawn sketch featuring my avatar dragon Elyndor:

Based on the clue sent to me in Varethyn's letter and a bit of investigation on my part, I believe my Secret Santa for this year may be Qinni/Text!

Aw I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. I can't take all the credit though as, when she did them, TygerDarkstorm included her own version of it which inspired me to write my own

As for my gift I received an Earth Halo! I never got enough copies during then Rock Breakers so its much appreciated!



For my clue I think I'm going to guess my SS was Teigan.

The poem was wonderful! I loved it as well as the thoughtful gifts I received. While I have an idea who my Secret Santa might be (from the hint given), I think I will refrain from guessing and leave it a secret! ♥

It was me Syleye Glad you liked it!
I loved the poem! I got an army of cats! It was really generous and I was thrilled to see the items. My clue was kind of hard because I think of a lot of people on here as bold and willing to help. I have a pretty good idea. I've narrowed it down to two possibly, but I might leave it a mystery just in case I get it wrong I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but thank you so much
