I don't think anyone's reported it yet, but the vignette mob Giantbane in FFR is tameable. As a result you get a dark clefthoof with a cool, spiky saddle. Also some very pissed off NPCs that were riding him, but they were all bad anyway.

Not sure if it's intentional but hopefully it is. It can't hurt, really.

We need more saddled pets, to be honest.

Helps immersion to think that our hunters have a pet they can ride (even if we can't actually ride them)

I still hope we one day get a hunter-only quest that ends with taming a saddled pet, that also teaches you a mount spell for it. And if it's out when you "cast" said mount spell, you simply hop onto the pet.

Anyone actually get around to taming some talbuks and can show them off? Curious about how the new and old models compare as pets and how they scale.

Have a beta invite, but kinda don't want to get in and spoil myself like I did for Pandaria. (That and my computer is older and struggling to survive as it is, I don't want to kill it with a faulty beta file crash or something).

Has it been determined we CAN tame them? Or is it just the elks

Talbuks are tameable....but only the old model atm...unless Shadowmoon has tameable WoD ones.

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so

I finally got around to changing the blue toucan image to the new version. I'm guessing they decided to remove the original for trademark reasons, but if not then it's a real shame they couldn't have kept both.

Original . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . New

News: Jungle Wastetalons in Gorgrond no longer use the outland raptor model. They are now the new dark green/purple as well as the new Green WoD raptor models

Hm. I quite like the darker blue myself, but each to their own. Now, if they swapped their skeleton to something other than the broken flight animation, I'd be tempted. However, due to this, toucans aren't something I'm that excited for.

The Outland talbuks are tamable; I grabbed Bach'lor (cause I like blue). A lot of stuff in Draenor that should be tamable isn't right now (red shadowmoon ravagers, I'm looking at you), I just think they haven't done the big tamability pass yet because stuff is still placeholders in places.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

Aww dang it. There goes my team idea. I was gonna have a Tony tiger, Count Chocula bat, and Sam Toucan...ahh well can't really complain too much there are so many new pets! I'm going to nab a gazelle if they are still tameable and use it to destroy my enemies. :headbang:

I'm not holding my breath for the sea serpent staying in. Wouldn't complain but don't get your hopes up. It clips through the ground right now which makes me think it wasn't intentional. Maybe it wouldn't if they shrank it.

Hadn't noticed if anyone had posted a shot of the wind dread ravens yet - also the Air familiar looked new too me also - had seen the suns around. Kinda like this one more than the fiery look of the sun.

at this point I think I have been about everywhere on Draenor since latest patch. They seem to be fleshing out all the level 100 stuff now a lot more - the blank vacant spots around the world are getting far and few between now.

Anyone else wish they'd make a "Tropical Bird" family?

The Toucans and Parrots added to it? Bird of Prey is getting really big. :/
