umm... no more pets? (troll question from Blizzcon?)

Ok, here's the deal.. there is a very annoying usually drunk DK on my raid team that insists that one of the devs answered a question about pets saying that they would like to remove them. The guy is a troll, a drunk one at that, but the story was backed up by someone else that it was indeed said :

It was a question at Blizzcon. I believe he is talking about how they are attempting to remove pets from the game completely because of talents like Grimore of Sacrifice. A question was asked to a Dev about making pets part of your attack but not functional.

Do any of you remember anything like this? I've searched a bunch but can't find it anyplace.

I need to be able to shut this guy up, and show the context of how it was asked, if indeed it was asked.

(I was at Blizzcon, and don't remember it, so it had to be some side interview or special invite Q&A)

Eh, you can't really shut up people like that. Requirement of proof is on their side, not yours. Just say you'll believe it when they give you a credible source.

I saw Blizzcon and I can safely say NO. This was never asked at Blizzcon.

The only thing I can think of about "no pets" would be the hunter talent that boosts damage for MM? if they do not have a pet active.
And remove pets because of an ability or talent? HAHAHA...yeah, NO....they would rework the talent/ability before they got rid of pets. Not to mention the amount of people who would unsub due to them taking away such integrated parts of people's class'.

Ugh I'm going to hate that MM talent if it stays in. I get enough dumbass hate from BM already XD The whole "MM hunters don't love their pets" poop.

Regarding Lone Wolf, I'll like it for certain fights.. Tortos is a good example. Too much pet dps lost in movement.

Miss the old aggressive stance where I could stick my pet on on thing.

For Tortos, I set my pet to passive and stick him on the boss for the fight. I can switch targets without worrying about my pet running about.

I also do the same on Nazgrim (pet attacks don't trigger baddies in Defensive stance, I just need to remember not to use KC in it)
