Pets That Vocalize When Clicked or Have Other Unusual Noises

(*) personally verified, as of 11/20/13
All vocalize on click unless otherwise specified

I think Shore Crawlers exist in different colours. My Nighthowl does not have on click vocalization.

Can you list also pets that are smaller from the other version of the same skin and colour? Eg. the ravens from Thunder Isle, Carrion Scarab which have a bigger 'harden' carapace but it itself is smaller from other black scarabs, and some fireflies are small post tame.

I just posted a list of the ones I know. http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=21743

I didn't know about the Carrion Scarab. That sounds cool, and I will have to go find one :)

EDIT: Seems its called a Corpse Scarab. Yeah, I missed that one. I think my brain subconsciously went "raid..nope..does not exist" But I'll find a way.

Someone mentioned their Nighthowl did, so I'm gonna check it out when I log on. As for Shore Crawlers, I'll look around and see what I can see. And tame. We shall see. :)

EDIT: I'm standing there with a freshly tamed Nighthowl. He has many lovely features, but on-click vocalization is not one of them. :(

Shore Crawlers are just the White Crab skin. Sea Crawlers in the water are blue, and some of the critter Shore Crabs (which are the same size as pre-tamed Shore Crawlers) are bronze (although most are red).

Concerning the cranes from the Wandering Isle, they grew bigger as they level and when they reach certain level, their size is just the same as the other cranes.

and yes the corpse crabs do leave black steak as it skitters.

Talking about skittering, aren't there some Ravagers that 'skitters'?

oh and there are bat npcs in Kun Lai summit that 'flies' underground post tame.

cnp from the other thread

This list is freaking awesome! Thank you very much :) I'll get the spreadsheets updated so they can be included next time Mania does updates (or I learn how to do them myself ;) ).

I would too. I'm a medium-rare man, myself.

That one has since been fixed :) It uses the standard bat model now.

Another bird of prey with on click vocals is the jeweled macaw in jade Forest, strangely it appears that only the red skin has vocalisations on click.

Thanks! I'll go get me parrot. Arrr!
Its funny, cause I was down in that area taming Rakira, and I tried both the green ones, but never even noticed the red. Granted, I was flying into cliffs with my map open at the time.
And oddly, it fits with another group of parrots in Pandaria. Down in the Wilds, there's an island with three colors of parrots aka lorries. Only one of them vocalizes. I'd like to think its a pattern, but....

Hehe, thanks, and you're welcome :) But, alot of this information you already have. There's some corrections, like the Duskbat and Gilded Tern, but there is some stuff not listed in pet details I guess. But, other than taming every single type of turtle in Pandaria, there's not much original research. Its more a compilation, to have everything in one list.

The Shrimp Stuffed Seagulls came out today, but sadly do not vocalize on click.
Also, checked up on the red Jeweled Macaws. They're still chatty :)

Cool! :) I don't get the red macaw thing. I would have thought all colours used the same model, but I guess not!

Boredom and anxiety dictated that I do some taming of pets to explore some of these things, and see if I acn find anything else.

Terokkarantula has unique sounds on attack. And I do mean 'unique': I would compare it to another creature, but... I haven't heard *anything* like it. It's completely unlike the usual rhythmic hissing sound of the other spiders, or the screaming spikey spiders. It's a sort of 'gurgling growl'.

Also unique: Shattered Hand Warhounds are silent. They don't have wolf-barking sounds when they attack, or while they're in combat. The only sounds they make are when they use their abilities.

Kurasu, I put your finds on the list. Very nice finds, thanks for sharing :) I actually just tamed a Shattered Hand Warhound, but haven't fought with it yet, so I'll have to do that so never noticed.

It was something I noticed when they were first tameable, way back when. I had to get rid of mine because the lack of 'wolfy sounds' was actively *disturbing* to me at the time. :) I just tamed one (since I'm leveling another hunter for guild-leveling purposes) and tamed one to double-check. Sure enough, still no sound. And if I didn't now play with the sound off to watch videos, it'd still be creepy!

Kurasu, I tamed Terokkarantula. Want to hear something interesting? There is one other spider I know of that makes the same noise: the Darkmist Broodqueen. She has a friend! :D I've been running around slaughtering things, switching them out for each other. Identical. I might have to keep them both >.< The weird ones have to stick together, after all XD. And you are so right....there is nothing like that, and its not very spider-y. I've always thought it sounded a bit like a Nerubian, when I only knew about the Broodqueen.

And silent wolf...yeah, that would be creepy. I still haven't tested him.

EDIT: Ok, I took the Shattered Hand Warhound out for a walk. I turned off all his abilities, to make sure they didn't make noise. He is indeed largely silent. I compared him with my other wolves, who start growling and barking the minute you send them in, even with all their abilities off, and continue to do so. You're right. He does not bark and growl when he starts attacking. However, at the end of the attack he does sometimes growl. Since I have his abilities off, I can only assume he does occasionally make a normal noise.
