3. Carrion Bird: (slightly larger than minipet)
Upland Raven* - raven (87 Kun-Lai Summit)

4. Beetle: (about half the size of a regular beetle, has black streaks behind it when it moves)
Corpse Scarab* - black (80 spawned at Anub'rekhan in Naxxramas)

5. Wasp: (maybe twice as large as a minipet, quite small, at least)

Mature Terrapin* – brown dragon (90 Krasarang Wilds, Domination Point after the phasing point where the pipes and oil stuff show up)
Seadragon Hatchling* – brown dragon (85 Krasarang Wilds, Turtle Beach)
Great Turtle Hatchling* - brown dragon (90 Timeless Isle)

Larger than usual

7. Wasp: (VERY large)
Cyn* – blue and red boss (rare 41 – Thousand Needles)
Cida – green and red boss (rare 45 – Felwood)
Florawing Hive Queen* – purple boss (86 – Zul’Gurub)

Exotic – Need to be Beast Mastery and level 69 or higher

8. Worm: (slightly larger than other caterpillars)
Chibee* – yellow silkworm (85 elite – Fox Grove, Jade forest – phases out after completing Jade Jorest, but can tame by waiting on the river bank just behind where it becomes Fox Grove)

Note: This is what I found from Petopia, Wowhead and personal experience. I tested all of them but the wasp Cida, because she wasn't up. There are probably more out there. Post 'em if ya got 'em! :)

The Corpse Scarab isn't teeny-tiny any more, but I've heard it's still smaller than a normal beetle. Have not tested it myself.

Once I get in the raid, I'll grab one and compare it to another beetle to see how their tiny-ness is doing these days

I have the Corpse Scarab and while I haven't compared him to another beetle side by side, I'm 99% sure that he's noticeably smaller than normal still. Exaggerated by the fact that his spell effects are MASSIVE. XD Harden carapace really puts the TANK in this tanking pet. His walk cycle is also slower than normal, making him look like he's sliding around. And then there's the black streak that he leaves behind him. (Does it show that I love my Dozer?)

Sadly I'm unsubbed at this time, so can't log in to do the comparison myself. :(

Concerning the cranes from the Wandering Isle, they grew bigger as they level and when they reach certain level, their size is just the same as the other cranes.

and yes the corpse crabs do leave black steak as it skitters.

Talking about skittering, aren't there some Ravagers that 'skitters'?

oh and there are bat npcs in Kun Lai summit that 'flies' underground post tame.

By "skittering" do you mean vocalizing on click or...? And the bat...LMAO. I gotta tame one to see that.

Pop's referring to the way they walk. They have wonky run animations that are like sped up walks or something so it gives the creature the appearance of "skittering."

I've heard the Jibberwing bats in Kun Lai Summit were fixed in 5.4, but have not tested myself.

Finally tamed a Corpse Scarab from Naxx. They still have their black trail and are about 2/3 or 1/2 as tall as a regular beetle.
Also, can someone with Cida confirm she stays large? She's being stubborn.

Ok, the Shrimp Stuffed Seagulls were out today. They tame small like other gulls, but sad to say, they do not vocalize on click :(

Parked an alt in Felwood, finally paid off!
This is Cida on the left, and a normal-sized boss wasp on the right:

You are my hero :D
I'm going to make a picture compilation showing the size differences? Can I steal yours?

Yes, of course! If Gormanghaste had known he was going to be in a compilation, he would have combed his hair and worn his fancy tabard :)

On Wowhead I think I posted a comment (as Niaw) on all the boss wasps that are a colour where both large and small versions are available. Nice when people know they have size options for the same look :)

The blue only has one mob, which is the Sapphire Hive Wasp. Whichever size it tames as is the only one. Purple only comes as the Florawing Hive Queen, who stays huge, and Volux, who I think is a new rare. I've never seen her, so I don't know what she does. But if she is new, it makes me wonder. The other new rares are the big ones. If she stays big, then purple only comes in large. Now, I have to go tame all the boss wasps except Cyn, Cida, Florawing Hivequeen, Ayamiss and Huhuran. And since I know Ayamiss shrinks, if the Sapphire Hive Queen does too, then orange only comes in small. :geek:

Does anyone know if the blue and red boss wasp from the Jade Forest cloud serpent daily is phased? I'm assuming so, since other beasts like the caterpillars are, if I remember right. If the caterpillars are there, they're at least not hostile except during the "poo collecting" daily. Unfortunately, the only character I have near that level that hasn't finished it yet is a druid. That won't be much help. Volunteers? Pretty please with a giant wasp on top?

I've been thinking of embarking on a taming adventure so insane there should be an in-game title for it: tame every single type of every color and model of mob that exists on all the continents and in all the dungeons, to look for interesting things. And I'll have to find all the quest spawns and rares too >.< Yeah, don't look for that anytime soon. But, I did tame every turtle in Pandaria, short of Great Turtle Furyshell.

Btw, does Furyshell stomp and what size is he, for the lucky few that have managed to get him? I'm sure on a forum full on hunters, someone has manged to get him :) My toons can go about three steps without dying in that place, cause their gear is so bad they may as well be naked....so....taming him would end badly even if I got there in time.

Not sure I understand; are you saying that the dailies are no longer available once you're exalted?

Haha, for all I know, the quests could phase out when the cloud serpent mini-pets phase in. I know I haven't been back!
