Getting him to attack isn't my issue. Watching him aggro everything while very slowly trotting towards the target, only to finally make it there when it drops dead, is.

I didn't even realize this could happen but Hati aggroed a mob during pet battling yesterday. I came out of pet battle to find myself in combat, with Hati at half health staring blankly ahead, while a mob chewed on his hind end. Why is he a valid target for attack while I'm phased out? That's just poor programming.

This happened to me the other day too, except that it actually pulled me out of the pet battle, and totally screwed up my UI somehow. It never has before, which I found odd. There used to be this problem when pet battles first came out, but obviously it was with regular pets, not Hati, cause there was no Hati then.

The more time I spend playing BM, the more I want to get rid of Hati.

Not so much mechanical issues, although they are present despite macros and attempts at careful micro-managing, but mostly the feeling of the specialisation altogether. For me, BM was always about the Hunter and their (one) loyal companion, Spirit Bond, two halves of one, 50/50, all that. In Legion that feeling of bonding and fellowship is completely gone for me. Perhaps unfairly, but somehow it all ended up associating with Hati, even if problems go way further, like Legendaries having what was once baseline :D

Though, admittedly, even if in current state BM had "lone wolf"-esque talent, empowering the pet at cost of Hati returning to the gun or something, I doubt I can play it anyway :|

Honestly, I mostly wish Hati weren't so - erratic. Sometimes he goes back and forth between mobs spamming swipe uselessly. Sometimes he does nothing. Sometimes he runs around the corner to let me know there's mobs there.

Sometimes he barrels into mobs.

And sometimes he feels like a nut.

I adore Hati in theory. I love having a free lightning pupper. But half the time, he's kinda useless during the fight.

I just get so enraged by him anymore. It's not even his behavior in combat. It's that whenever I'm trying to do anything, anything at all, he's standing on it.

I have never in my life yelled 'JESUS FECKIN' CHRIST GET OFFA MY DICK' so much as I have at Hati.

I don't even have a dick. But if I did, Hati would be standing on it.

Have you tried having Rexxar (I think that's his name?) the Hunter class hall follower as a bodyguard?
Not only does he stand on top of anything you're trying to interact with, he also NEVER FRICKEN' DISMOUNTS!!!!!! The jerk sits on his mount blocking half your screen, even when you yourself are walking.

For a (short) time yes, I did have Rexxar as a bodyguard. Me, him, my pet, his pet, Hati, sometimes 1-2 other of his pets...

I was like 'I am not a player, I am a goddamn raid group!' and unequipped him as a follower. @___@

This is why I use the new one as my bodyguard, no issues talking to NPCs while mounted
