The Happy Thread

I think we need a happy place here. A place where you can share anything and everything that you read, saw, experienced, etc. that made your day a little brighter.

So please, share!

Today I woke up with my boyfriend beside me, and even something as simple as that makes me grin.

My chemistry professor decided today to veer off track and try to see if the class (a small lecture hall filled with 87 students) could figure out a particular oddity on a table of half-cell potentials. We didn't get the answer, probably because no one knew, but he got at least some of us to think. He wound up using this to introduce the concept of solvation energy, and more specifically, hydration energy (no, Mr. spellcheck, it's not salvation energy; it's solvation energy).

I am so glad he had the courage to go out on a limb like that.

Aye, although less ambiguously titled. I know a few people thought/think that thread is more of a sarcastic thing though.

I love warm blankets on a cold day... The day is currently cold here, and I have blankets I need to warm. XD

I can totally agree with how fun it is when teachers do something unexpected! Like when we got to identify acids during Chemistry. That was way fun. :D

I (like others apparently) was under the impression that was more of a sarcastic thread. I thought it would be nice to just have a place where people could just talk about happy things. If you don't agree with this thread then report it and move on; don't cause a stink in the thread itself please. If Mania thinks it should be merged then thats up to her, but in the meantime I don't want unneeded drama in my thread.

I completely love it when teachers make learning more interesting. I had a biology teacher who did cool stuff like that all the time and it made the class so much more engaging and enjoyable for everyone.

I also love fog, and kinda dreary days. They make me feel so creative!

I think this should stay its own thread as this doesnt seem a place for sarcastic responses as in the "Dont You Love It When." as the title itself can even be seen as sarcastic, That being said it makes me very happy when my boyfriend just smiles at me, I love his eyes they are brilliant..emerald green with gold slivers and they crinkle and sparkle when he smiles. <3

Your posts came off pretty negative, especially since the "Don't You Love It When..." thread is a part of forum games which leads one to believe that it's meant to be a more sarcastic, fun, game-like feel whereas this thread is to just state things that make you happy. A counter to the rant thread, really.

I was actually going to make a thread for this exact purpose, but had been being lazy about it so it makes me happy to see you start it, Gumballs.

Another thing that makes me happy: my bf's silliness. I love that he's not afraid to act like a big kid. It's nice since after high school I got a lot more serious than I used to be.

Hugs make me happy. When I have a really tough day, I just go over to see my bf and give him a big hug.

I also love watching anime together. We just finished Trigun and Witch Hunter Robin and just started Paranoia Agent. Definitely a great way to relax after a long day.

You already reported it to Mania, why are you still continuing the fight? Your only creating an environment for rude remarks and rileing other people up which is trolling. You already made your point by saying you've reported it to Mania, she isnt gonna suddenly swoop in and delete or merge the threat the instant you do so. Just leave it be.

Oye. I don't see the big deal in having two threads (in different areas nonetheless) about being happy. Happiness isn't something that should be looked upon as annoying- normally two threads about the same thing is a tad obnoxious but come on.... Stop raining on people's parades.

I love cuddling up with my boyfriend, after a long day of chasing our daughter around, and drinking our bedtime tea while watching Netflix. These moments are by far my favorite.

Yay, finally a happy thread!

So, I really like being able to sleep for as long as I like, since I can't on week days. And the best way to be woken up is by my boyfriend sneaking up to me to cuddle. <3
