And baaah, I should have known $50 easy fast flights were too good to be true. It WOULD have been a fine flight, I'm sure, if it hadn't been cancelled last minute with absolutely no warning or communication. It took getting to the airport and checking in at the kiosk for them to let me know my flight wasn't going to happen. After looking at the rebooking line (50 people in line to speak to a SINGLE agent) I called Spirit (useless) and then finally called Priceline (angels, beautiful, saviors of my sanity) who got me rebooked on the next possible flight to Denver thru Spirit. It's a nasty one, 8 hours of travel between two flights and a layover, but all the other options would have cost an extra $200. I'm just glad I have a flight again.

Ah Lupis reminds me of JetStar. They do the exact same thing. I nearly got stuck in Aussie once because of them.

Ah man tutor made me scrap all my work and now I have to build this new puppet based on a style I'm horrible at. The joys of working in art ;-;

Also, don't scrap your work, just shelf/come back to it, you may even be able to make it better later on.

As a tutor myself now, the fact that you don't like/are weak at something, would also make me get you to do it. It might sounds like a shitty/dick move, but if you're not good at something/have weakness for it, if you practice it, you will get better. You'll end up being a more well rounded artist in the long run. Why do I know this....? Many moons ago, my tutor did the same thing to me, and I hated her for it at the time. But after completing the assessment, and looking back, I secretly found a few things among the process that I really really liked, that I never would have found if I wasn't forced into doing something I didn't want to do in the 1st place.

Anyways, just food for thought.

I went to Townsville to visit my uncle. It's a nice place.

Working on my birthday.

Because I totally wanted to deal with creepers near the breast feeding station, a kid spitting all over the place and managers who can't be assed to talk to one another.

I'm so sick and tired of my housemate. He's listening to extremely loud music 24/7, and is doing things on purpose to make me uncomfortable. I have to sleep with earplugs every night, and that's not even enough to drown it out. He is also a huge conspiracy nut, I can't even go into the kitchen to make some coffee without having to listen to an hour long rant about how Hillary and Merkel are devils incarnate.
The worst part is, my social anxiety prevents me from really doing anything about it. My friends and my boyfriend keep telling me that I need to stand up for myself, but the thought alone just scares me to bits.

Fortunately I'm moving out soon, but it's been nearly 2 years of not feeling safe in my own home, and I hate it so much.

That sounds pretty awful. I'm really sorry. I hope there's a new, awesome place for you.

My peeve is, I can't decide if I want to WoW right now. On one hand, I'm broke and it's way easy to get sucked into. On the OTHER, dang I want meowls and friends again.

Also, work keeps pointing me out like I'm a zoo spectacle. YES, PLEASE TELL POTENTIAL HIREES I'M DISABLED. REALLY.

Scenario, last part of an invasion, Rogue, Druid (healer) and Warlock (myself).
Immediately, the rogue starts bitching that the druid is undergeared.
The first thing he does? speeds off to the opposite side of the area, leaving the healer and a clothy to deal with the elite mobs.
THEN, icing on the cake, cherry on the sundae, jam on the crumpet... he STEALTHS onto the enemy ship and slips by every single mob heading to the final boss, then bitches again that the two of us are too far behind and not keeping up.

The "elite" rogue soloed the final boss, while we toiled away at a whole group of mobs this idiot had left in his wake. I don't think I even got in a single shot at the boss. (this was the Azsuna invasion, so final part is just go on ship, avoid imps, kill a few mobs to get to final boss, hop on dragons, get reward)

The supposed "elite" players are the ones that ruin the game for everyone else.
If he was actually a GOOD player, he'd stick with his party members and work as a group instead of running off and trying to prove just how godly he is by soloing everything.

If you remember the name you are allowed to report them to Blizzard for exploiting the game because going straight to the final boss without killing any mob is an exploit also griefing the other two in group is reportable.

Also, I thought they had fixed/nerfed skipping the mobs.

I didn't get a chance to see what server he was from.

He skipped the mobs on the ship by stealthing past them - it's one of the easier ship-battles, run up a ramp avoiding imps and jets of flame, then there's like a gauntlet of demons, with the boss standing on the end of the ship. The problem was that just the healer and my warlock were stuck having to battle out the demons on the way to the boss.

This isn't the first time I've seen either this sort of behaviour or other annoying "elite" behaviour. For example, in a dungeon, the tank was a paladin, so he'd mount up indoors and speed off to the next room, sometimes leaving a trail of mobs for the rest of the party to deal with. Then he'd complain we weren't there for the boss fight.

I don't know if this is just Legion, or if dungeons are always like this. Legion is the first expansion where I've found myself obligated to do dungeons if I wanted to advance the story, or even crafting. But I've just come across a plethora of douche-bags in the last month or so.

If I ever was in a group like that where the tank took off leaving rest behind I wouldn't even bother healing or dpsing see if they die and let them die might take them down a notch on their ego pole.

Heh, yeah... /dismiss pet (or play dead) -- /feign death ... wait for turd to die and mobs to reset...

Ah how I've forgotten how it felt like to be stood up on a date. Thanks for refreshing me on it.

haha Jetstar...they left my husbands cousin stranded in Hong Kong once....lucky just as terrible Tiger Air was able to rescue her back to Singapore I'm told to avoid Scoot as well as our other cousins live under the flight path in Guildford and the Scoot planes sound like something's about to drop off them every time they fly over.

My rant...also art related. I got 3rd prize in my gunpla clubs first challenge (yay!) BUT now I think I've set too high a standard for myself and am crapping myself over this star wars challenge...I'm not sure how to make mine stand out again (my last one had massive wings and pretty sakura trees) can't really do that again...argh! #firstgunplaissues

Today I stopped someone from buying a super rare model kit mainly because he wanted to use it for parts!! No. I've probably made an enemy and in a small modelling community that's probably not a great idea but I don't care. You don't buy a rare $400 kit for parts....you just fucking don't. You don't chop apart the Musai for fucking star wars parts. It was a mercy mission imo. And if I've made an enemy then so be it. I'm just so mad someone would even do that....grumble grumble.

i need top surgery before i fucking go insane but the cost alone is up in the $7k range at the least and basically all of that will need to be out of pocket because my fucking healthcare is shit and can’t even cover the cost of my glasses when i get new ones
