Watched "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" for the 2nd time and I still love it. If you like a light movie with spats of british humor I highly recommend it for something totally out of the ordinary! Its about a sheikh that wants to build a massive dam in the desert so he can fish for salmon (theres more to it than that) and Ewan Mcgregor is the poor chap entrusted with the task (which he thinks is utterly ridiculous). The text messages between the Secretary of state and the PM are the best bit!

Also watched the Baz L remake of "The Great Gatsby". I really enjoyed it for the lavishness that is Baz and Leonardo Dicaprio was a brilliant Gatsby and the Jack Thomson cameo :)...still loath the ending tho but its not like they can change the story. Such a sad sad film really.

Just saw Frozen. I've only recently become fond of Disney Princesses (Is it bad that I liked the bad guy in Sleeping Beauty more than the actual Princess? ) Probably didn't start liking Disney Princess movies until Tangled (I don't count Mulan and Aladdin as such, even though Disney seems to) Frozen was really good imo :) The characters were pretty nutty for the most part which I LOVED!!

My husband and I went to see Frozen last night. It was amazing! He liked it a lot, too.
Then again, we both loved Tangled, so it was a given that we'd enjoy Frozen as well.

This film is sounding more and more promising! Then again, there are only a handful of Disney animated features I've found to be unenjoyable so ...
I am hoping to see it myself very, very soon.

John Carter: a cruelly under-rated film. It SHOULD have been a huge success except for executives at Disney really doing a screw-up on the marketing.

I absolutely LOVE JC.

And Jaws, well, masterpiece is masterpiece.
Anyone who wants to study cinema has to study that film frame by frame.

Tonight I watched "The Wolverine".

Comes out tomorrow on DVD, but I was lucky and my pre-order from Amazon arrived a day early.

Wasn't bad, I enjoyed it considerably.
It didn't really make me feel anything, however. Maybe because I've simply never been attracted to the character of Wolverine? I mean, it's Hugh Jackman.. how can one NOT be in love with him? and yet, I simply don't feel any connection with that character.

I've watched Frozen twice in the last few days, and... It's so incredible. Elsa is a great, morally grey character, and her motivations are relatable. Similarly, Anna is awkward, goofy, and definitely relatable. And the True Love Ending hits me right in the heart (and I LOVE the direction they took with it).

Best part? They let Kirsten Bell and Idina Menzel actually USE their Broadway training. And it made the movie that much more powerful.

I think it's probably my new favourite, and Elsa is actually tied with Meg as my favourite Disney character.

I want to see Frozen and the chances I will do will be high when it comes out but I'm not going to fall for the hype it's getting. Like I'm sure it's good but like everyone was so hyped about Brave and I found that to be a huge disappointment and no where as good as what everyone said it was. If you get my drift XD
