Recently got the Windows 10 Anniversary update (and the follow-up after it). Ever since then, my cursor constantly shows something is loading....and its irritating me really bad. (not to mention getting laggy in WoW). Anyone know how to make it stop?

First thing's first I always try is a computer reboot. If it continues to do that, open the Task Manager and see what is running.

I definitely don't know what might be causing this, but I did some googling and found a thread that might be helpful:

If that doesn't work try searching 'windows 10 cursor loading' and see if any of the results might help!

I actually found out my issue earlier today....it was Steam. Most pages on Steam aren't opening properly and constantly load. When I close steam on on of these pages, its still trying to load in the background.

Glad you figured it out! :) That does sound frustrating.

And for those having this issue with Steam as well...go to Settings....go to Interface....turn off 'Enable Directwrite' then reset steam.

I did this and not only is Steam functioning properly...but no more annoying loading circle on my cursor.

Aha. Figured something in the background had to be causing it. Steam can be a butt sometimes.
