Possible PSA, recent Win10 update with "malware"

Unread post by SetsunaChan »

Sorry for the possible clickbait like title but figured I'd post this here. A few days ago windows 10 tossed out another update, with it seemed to have made IE a slogfest even with AdBlock Plus on or constant websites becoming unresponsive for me and another family member that uses it.

Did a Malware Bytes search few days after the update only for it to find a program that I did not download or even see installed onto my computer. That program being "Slim Cleaner Plus". After doing some research it's a trouble some program that acts "Helpful", it isn't it'll either hijack your internet browser or lockdown you computer asking for ransom.

In any case anyone that has Win10 I'd highly recommend if you haven't, do a malware bytes scan since Windows Defender didn't pick up on this program. Worst part is even after Malware took care of it, today it came back!
