Premiere of my String Quartet
It went very well, the performers were fantastic, and the audience seemed to appreciate.
I thought I'd share it along with a half-decent pic of me (I'm on the far left), the 4 performers, and the narrator (a radio celebrity, newspaper commentator, and published author).

Re: Premiere of my String Quartet
Tårn, it's never too late to do it for pleasure. I took up the viola (like a big violin) last year. I'll never be a "performer" (like I am at the piano) but it brings me pleasure.
There are many instruments that are moderately easy to learn, and inexpensive.

I'm so sorry to hear thatTårnfalk wrote:heh I am sadly to sick to do anything else than lay in bed :/ but I admire ppl who take the time to learn an ew instrument.. If I was healthy and could choose anything I think I would choose some sort of flute.. always liked flutes
You could always pick up something simple that you can learn while in bed, even like a recorder or tin whistle. Ok, maybe not a recorder, it tends to drive everyone else insane ;p

thank-you Melissa!Bulletdance wrote:It's a lovely piece of music. It's rare these days I find music that inspires me to want to create, but this does. I also love your jacket It looks like everyone is having fun thanks for sharing this with us.

And yet more compliments about the logo you made for me. The girls in the quartet thought it was brilliant.
And the teacher who is taking her student orchestra to Italy to perform on of my pieces over there has been using the cover design (the colour version of your logo) to teach the kids about our "heritage" as descendants of the original "dos blancs" (white backs).

I am sure that whatever you are doing with your life has as much worth.
Each of us, by our very presence, brings worth into this world, even if it's only from the effects our touch has in other peoples' lives.
