I actually have to say Surv is at least fun and fast. I don't want to be melee though. Enjoying the visuals it's offering.

I have actually been enjoying the Survival Spec, though I was a BM spec since vanilla.

Couple things I don't like, the Camo being in the same line as Trailblazer. I like having both.
Also the change back to fixed pet specs. Being able to choose which ever pet you want to use and spec it as you like offered much more optimization. I really hate that every expansion they have to change stuff around when much of it is fine the way it is.

All of the pet specs will be capable of doing the same dps and have the same health and armor. There is the benefit of Ferocity having a Hero and the Leech buff from Tenacity. However, in a raid environment, you'll typically choose whatever will offer you the greatest benefit towards dps and/or survival (and most raid groups will have a few Heroes available).

I have not been in a raid for probably 4 or 5 years. Have only done one dungeon in the last 3, LOL.

Changes to Hunter pets on Beta

Dash is now available to all pet families.
Pathfinding is now available to all pet families.
Predator's Thirst is now available to all pet families.
Endurance Training is now available to all pet families.

So, hunters and our pets will have more survivability.

It is looking like July 17th will be the Pre-patch launch date. It is the latest possible date that Blizz could launch the patch and remain within their 4-6 weeks prior to BfA deadline, and the testing for the Pre-launch event ends the day prior.

Apparently, this isn't true (except the dash part). I was so excited too. :(

Yep, that would be 4 weeks out. They could stretch it one more week if they don't have much of a prepatch event, which we haven't seen any signs of (other than the zap-your-artifact quest).

The one thing that bothers me about the pet changes is the loss of Thunderstomp. I'm not sure how MUCH it's going to impact gameplay but I'm going to assume it will at least somewhat, forcing me to rely on my petfocus-misdirect macro a lot more (and leaving me wondering what happens if I decide to go SV...)

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

Looks like Blizzard wants to kill Dire Beast. Dire Beast Summons a powerful wild beast that attacks the target and roars, increasing your Haste by 10% for 8 sec was 15 sec cooldown now a 20 sec cooldown.

So, I heard from general chat on beta that hunter pet growl is now automatically turned off when entering any form of LFD group (you can still toggle it on), and turned back on when you leave if it was on when you entered.

I haven't been able to test this, but can anyone confirm/deny this?

It was confirmed at least a month or two ago. There was a big post about it on Reddit.

If anyone is still having trouble getting the field medic title done and are stuck at singed plea in Suramr here is some advice I read on Wowhead that helped me get mine last night.

"mine finally dropped from a Felborne Punisher while the world quest In the Thick of It was up".

The world quest was up last night and even after finishing it I ran around killing as many Felborne Punisher that spawned among others but it finally dropped off a Felborne Punisher to get me my title.

I found that joining a premade group was the easiest way to finishing the achieve. There are certain location in each zome where the respawn rate is high, so 5 people are able to kill dozens a minute and thus increase the likelihood of a quest dropping.

Since M+ Enrage affix will now be an Enrage buff, it looks like the Tranq/Dispel pets will have an important role. The only other class (we're aware of) that can remove enrage are druids, and Soothe can't be cast while shapeshifted, and bear spec doesn't get it apparently.

Is a bm hunter spec without a second pet weaker? Hubby always complains on how irritating he finds it to be forced to have two pets.

From what Bendak has posted on his BM Guide, actually the BM spec with 2 pets is weaker. The other 2 talents on that tier beat out Animal Companion.

http://www.wowhead.com/guides/beast-mas ... -pre-patch

But when I read the Talent and Sim portions of the guide, it didn't seem like Animal Companion was too far off, so it may still be viable for some who don't care (or aren't Mythic Raiders racing against the world lol).
