Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
I wasn't against them, but I can understand why they would be made untamable.
I'll go take a look.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Boooooo no Bramblebears I guess its consistent with us not being able to tame other brambley things but they were so cool.
Are we still able to tame the Akylodons?

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Horde bias! We can tame (wild versions of) Zandalari Druids, but not (wild versions of) Kul Tiran Druids? Blasphemy! All or all! I mean, it was silly to expect us to tame something that isn't a traditional animal, but still! At least bear turtles are still allowed.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
UGH!
Hippogriffs are now stuck in a flying animation, no run animation when they are 'running' alongside you. Super disappointed with this, it looks so awkward to have them just hover there-they have legs for a reason!

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Personally I am glad the new hippogryphs fly, because it irked me they ran. But I know that the running/flying subject is an individual preference. But, that said... I kind of think they may actually be implementing a toggle. My Netherbeak is now flying alongside me like Lalathin does. But my 2 classic gryphons are now stuck on the ground when I move, but bug out when I stand still (I posted just about it here (http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... 25#p596725). Meanwhile everything else is still the same.Shade wrote:UGH!

I really really really hope they're finally implementing a toggle. Call it wishful thinking but I really hope they're giving us a toggle, that way people who want grounded gryphons/hippogryphs can have em and those of us who prefer flying can have that too.
FINGERS SO CROSSED.
Edit:
It seems that when the new-model hippogryph is in my stable (as my second pet for BM Talent) they fly. If I summon them as main pet, they're grounded. Something's really funky.
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
I'd prefer it if they stood when stationary and flew when running, but if that's not technically feasible then I'd prefer if they stayed flying rather than ran everywhere. If it can only be one or the other then I hope rylaks get the same treatment (I checked them and they currently still hop).

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
The newer Pterrordaxes can be either if you have the second pet talent, the one that is in your stables will always fly but the one with you walks
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Rylaks seem to fly when they're the 1st pet in the stable (thus the 2nd pet for the BM "Animal Companion" talent). I saw another Hunter with the same Rylaks as their Main and Secondary pet. The Main pet was grounded and hopping, the 2nd flew (so the same as my experience with Netherbeak).Wain wrote:I'd prefer it if they stood when stationary and flew when running, but if that's not technically feasible then I'd prefer if they stayed flying rather than ran everywhere. Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
For anyone with them, the green tameable larva was given an updated model, but the orange one still retains its old model:

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Yeah, the "beaked* model didn't receive an updated model, so it'll stick with the one it currently has on Live.
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
OK, that's really weird I'll test it out a bit and see if I can find out what's intended.Rikaku wrote:Rylaks seem to fly when they're the 1st pet in the stable (thus the 2nd pet for the BM "Animal Companion" talent). Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Guys, are the bramblebears still tameable? The wild Kul Tiran druid bear form models?

I posted on the prior page that, sadly, they aren't anymore.

Oh wow, you did. I completely overlooked it, sorry for that.Valnaaros wrote:I posted on the prior page that, sadly, they aren't anymore.
That's a shame. They were really cool models.
But at least we still have the Ankylodons and the Sabertusks.

No worries Yeah, I understand why they made them untamable, but they were cool models.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Wain stated that they were added incase they were ever to be made tamable. We have no reason to believe that they will be.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Today's Beta build added a brand new Water Elemental model. Looks great
Son of Xolotal and Avatar of Xolotal have had their models changed from the unused black Hati variant to the stormy blue manned wolf variant.
It doesn't look like anything was made tamable with this build.
