Oh, and that clefthoof skin was definitely a Vicious Horde Clefthoof. The skins just weren't named until now so I couldn't even guess. The model itself is still missing, though.

Can't wait to see it! Though I'm curious whether it'll be the Outland Clefthoof or the Draenor Clefthoof - I would guess the latter.

It's the latter. The skin is definitely the new one.

I have a feeling these are the skins for the two dwarf paladin rams, but I can't guess their names so please don't take it as confirmed. They do match the icons, though. They're only 256 px, which is lower res than I would have expected for a mount, but i still think it's likely.

I wonder, do Dark Irons get paladins too? And is the brown one for them?

Aye, that does look like that would be them, and yes, Dark Irons will be getting Paladins. :) It was confirmed a while back in some Q and A or something. They exist within the lore, though they aren't as good-natured as your typical Paladin.

I think they are updating all of the horse models. Back when the first alpha build came out, several horse models were datamined, including an updated Zhevra and Felsteed.

The rams are confirmed as the dwarf pally ones. The models just aren't in the database, yet.

These are their corresponding armours, which are 4x the size of the underlying body skins, but then they probably take up a lot more of the mount, so that might explain it :

Can't wait to see how they look. Hopefully we'll get the model within a few builds :)

So one is the normal dwarf palli charger and the other is the dark iron dwarf pali charger?

Correct. The golden one is for normal Dwarf paladins, and the one that looks like steel is for Dark Iron paladins :)

Now I'm leaning heavily to race-change my paladin to a dwarf. If only there were an unarmored HD ram that were tameable, it would make the perfect "mountaineer" pet.

Now, that first one is Obviously Not Dark Iron. Does that perhaps mean that at some point all paladins will end up with some specialized race mount? I heard poor LFDraenei were still using the old base Draenei Elekk instead of getting their own.

Also, curious if it's just going to be this or if there is going to have some less armored versions pop up at some point considering all paladins get a lvl20 then a lvl40 mount.

The first one is confirmed to be for normal dwarfs :) Though it isn't clear if there'll be an unarmored version as of right now.

Cool Beans! Nice to see some of the older races still getting some love too in all this allied race hype.

New mount datamined in today's build! If I had to guess, I would say that it is tied to the Forsaken in some way.

Image

Update: It looks like it is definitely tied to the Forsaken, since the icon pic refers to it as a felbatmountforsaken.

One exciting thing to note on the new hippogryph mount - they finally fixed the wings!

That new hippogryph model has always had the wings cut off in a really obvious straight line. Not the best comparison images but, you can see that they took the time to round out the shapes of the feathers instead of leaving them clipped. I hope they go back and do that to all of the models...
