Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
Missions will be continuing in BfA. A mission table was found a build or two ago, along with Champions and troops. More champions have been added with today's build, as well as new abilities.
New profession crafts were datamined today. Tailoring and Blacksmithing will be able to craft PvP gear. Tailors can craft fishing nets (one roots and the other slows) and Blacksmiths can craft a new skeleton key. Enchanters will be able to make weapon enchants again this xpac. Engineers have three new belt enchants. One of them, the Holographic Horror Projector, fears an enemy in melee range for 5 sec, 1.5 sec cast, 10 min CD. The second is the Miniaturized Plasma Shield, which deflects all incoming frontal attacks. 1.5 sec cast. The third, Personal Space Amplifier, appears to be a knockback.

Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
It might be a different sort of Silithid. It was commented that the Silithid are evolving in response to the Azerite. If a popular theory is to be believed, then the Azerite is either C'thun's blood or contaminated with C'thun's blood. Could cause for the Silithid to turn into that.
Or it could be one of the bosses from the Uldir raid. One of the bosses summons minions from each of the Old Gods, including C'thun. The file name is Baquir, so perhaps it is an individual?

Here are some beautiful guns from Nazmir. The texture resolution isn't the best, but hopefully that'll change

In the Q and A, Iom revealed that as more allied races are added, more character slots will be made available. Zandalari Paladins may also happen. Vulpera are currently not planned aa being an allied race. Can read more of the Q and A here

Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
Thank goodness the Vulpera aren't (currently) planned as allied races. I really don't want to see more furballs running around. On the flip side, I'm very glad that we get more slots every time new races show up. The regret of having everything on one server is now gone.

Ion: [Adding non-allied race customizations is] not currently planned on the near horizon.

I personally would rather have them work on allied races and get their customization right/complete rather than try to do them and the base races at the same time.

Cthulhu-themed cloth armor obtained via dungeons in Kul Tiras.
A wide assortment of new pirate hats
A possible Lumberjack tabard, though it might be tied to a quest where you turn into a lumberjack

Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
New build deployed today. Nothing substatial as of right now, aside from Uldir having two more bosses - Zul and Zek'vohj - and the Blood of G'huun has been replaced with Mythrax.
There are wrist enchants that'll reduce the cooldown of your hearthstone by 5 mins whilst on Zandalar and Kul Tiras. Another places a bubble around you that protects you whilst you hearth. Now everyone can bubble hearth
I have to say, this (to me) is one of the eeriest loading screens that Blizz has put into WoW.

Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
Oh my god!
This is a first for me.
I just got an alpha invite!! (and yes, it's real, not phishing, the game just automatically upgraded to include the alpha option)
So! what should I look for?

A bit of palindromic wisdom:
"Step on no pets!"
Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

Nothing in particular right now. Most info has been gathered that we can currently access, so just start playing and testing things out. Check out beasts in the old world that have had their models altered

The Interdimensional Companion Repository (which is a portable pet stable) is not soulbound! It currently requires 50 monalite ore without any ranks put into it.
Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
I got in too!
Farting around with New Survival. So far it's interesting although I'll own the fact I don't know what the hell I'm doing.
Is it just me though, or does hunter feel really underpowered? I have a retpally too, and I feel like stuff dies way faster with less fuss on her than it does on my hunter.

Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
Things haven't been really tuned yet. For example, tanks have very low dps. Takes them forever to kill anything. On top of that, we don't have Azerite gear yet. That is the Artifact of BfA, and there will be a rather noticeable difference between having it and not.

Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
It looks like Blizz is adding a new mechanic/reward for Mythic raiders. The first 100 guilds to clear a raid on Mythic difficulty will enter the Hall of Fame. This is separate for both Horde and Alliance, so 100 for Horde and 100 for Alliance.
