I agree that the lore has been changed, but those you have mentioned in regards to Sylvanas and Garrosh are not what is being discussed here. Nothing has been stated that Rexxar is no longer a Beastmaster other than a game mechanic, which came about in Legion when Surv was made the melee spec. Rexxar uses axes, not a ranged weapon, to fight, which fits better as a Surv champion than a BM champion, but that doesn't mean he is no longer a Beastmaster. Unless there is lore that comes out and states that he is a master survivalist and not a beastmaster, then he is still the latter with aspects of the former.

If you do not agree, then that is of your opinion. Even still, this topic is better suited as its own thread or perhaps in the Story thread than here.

The effects from Legendaries will become inactive once you reach lvl 116.

So have anyone figured out if there will be a way to tame zandalar creatures before hitting 120 on a alliance toon?

You're given a quest that will allow you to perform an expedition to one of the three opposing enemy zones. You can eventually do them all. I received the quest around 112-114.

I got a quest to do one at 110. I didn't do it though.

Honestly, at least for me, I don't care what they call Rexxar as long as the character doesn't change. He could be called a Polypet Axe Mage for all I care as long as the actual content of who he is and the schtick he does remains the same. I mean, does it really matter? He could be labeled a 'beast master' simply because he has three beasts with him at all times (which we can't do as players, it's not even a mechanic) and not because of anything so not-ic game-mechanic-y like the arbitrary words Blizzard picked to describe a facet of gameplay.

Well said, Nacht. Rexxar's character really hasn't changed since his conception, which is what matters.

New build today! Grom has aged a bit. Would explain why he isn't on Azeroth during BfA

Pet Battles will be receiving some changes in BfA.

There will be a new Pet Battle currency.

New pet battle mechanics are on the way like Weather effects.

Pet Battle World Quests are on the way and these will scale to the highest level pet on your team.

Several pets and abilities are receiving nerfs.

-Bone Serpent: swapped positions of Call Darkness and Lift-Off

-Crow and Gilnean Raven: -200 power, +200 speed

- Cyclone: damage changed from 7 to 3-7

- Haunt: returns the pet at 50% health when sacrificed instead of 100%.

-Teroclaw Hatchling: Dodge and Nature's Ward now occupy the same tier (as do Hawk Eye and Ravager Hatchling). I personally hate this change :/

More changes are being discovered by Wowhead.

I said it on the forums, and I'll heavily summarize it here;
NO.

Ikr? Teroclaw was so useful, especially for Deadmines :/

If they go through with the nerf to Teroclaw, it goes to show that literally nobody on their team knows what they're doing. There's pets who are FAR more deserving of nerfs for being obscenely overpowered. Teroclaw was just a stronger than average flying pet.

So getting the dinomancer book doesn't let you tame the new area direhorns, oddly enough. Wondering is there is another for these. :|

It's either due to a bug or it's just because Blizz hasn't undergone the taming pass yet.

When a pet or pet combo is way overpowered in either PvP or PvE (or both), then we can expect a nerf. It's not good design to have an "I win" button. I don't know if the nerf is because its overpowered in PvP or PvE, but it's a huge nuisance in PvP. To beat Teroclaw, you often had to have a team specifically set up to counter specifically it. Much of the strat of using it is to make the other player give up because you're wasting their time. Having a clever strat using a defensive pet is fine, but when half the people are using a FotM time wasting strat, I'm a-ok with it being nerfed.

What Ion said about High Elves, whilst true, is going to make some people rather angry.

"Blood elves are high elves" is enough of an explanation. Adding in that there's not very many high elves just weakens the case. There's got to be more high elves (eg: the Silver Covenant) than void elves, which came out of no-where. A VE only toy, like a low CD Orb of the Sin'Dorei, should satisfy people who want to play an alliance HE.

Agreed. He really didn't need to say that second bit. Either way, Ion has now said twice that there will not be playable HEs. Though it won't stop some from still requesting them, they can now be linked two seperate clips of Ion saying that it won't happen.
